Big Pun’s Widow Abrutly Ends Interview After Being Questioned About Fat Joe

Big Pun’s widow, Liza Rios, stormed out of an interview on the Uppercut podcast, last week, after being asked several questions about Fat Joe. In doing so, she accused the interviewer of taking Joe’s “side” in their feud and complained about him having an “attitude.”

“Joe probably would’ve faded out because if another label would have signed Big Pun, Joe probably would have faded to the back,” she said, as caught by AllHipHop. “[…] Joe’s a smart business man. He’s stayed relevant all these years.” From there, the interviewer asked why she can’t bring herself to apologize to Joe. She responded: “Are you serious? Why would I give him an apology after what he put my family through? What he did legally.” As they began arguing, Rios concluded: “Can we stop this for a second? I’m leaving this interview. This is a whole Fat Joe situation now. Yeah, I’m good. I’m good off of this. I’m not comfortable and I’m leaving this interview.”

When The Art of Dialogue shared a clip of the moment on Instagram, fans expressed their support for Rios. “Being a journalist is a skill. Asking one sided questions to elicit a response is not a flex. She made a good decision by leaving,” one user wrote. Another added: “Dude was a HORRRRRIBLE interviewer, and I’m glad that she shook the spot!!”

Liza Rios Discusses Fat Joe

Rios and Joe have been at odds since Pun’s tragic death in 2000. Rios has accused Joe of failing to properly pay her family the royalties from Pun’s music and that Joe greedily profited off of the late rapper’s legacy. She even took legal action against him in 2014. Joe had denied the allegations over the years. Check out the moment Liza Rios stormed out of her interview with the Uppercut podcast below.

Andre 3000 Thanks Drake For Leaking Kanye West’s “Life Of The Party”

Andre 3000 says that fans have Drake to thank for ever hearing his verse on Kanye West’s “Life of the Party.” He explained how the collaboration came together as well as his reaction to Drake leaking the track during his feud with the controversial rapper while speaking with The New York Times’ Popcast.

“I knew he was working on this album called, ‘Donda,’ and I knew he lost his mom just like I lost my mom so I knew that subject matter better than anyone. And it’s hard to explain to anyone, until you lose a parent, you can’t even explain it to anyone. So, when he said, ‘Hey, I wanna play this album for you.’ He played me the whole ‘Donda’ album. He actually sent it to me and said, ‘Give me your opinions on these songs, give me your comments.’ And I actually listened to the whole album and gave notes on what I felt about the songs. He took them in how he would and he said, ‘Yeah man, I’d like you to contribute to this album. Do you hear anything you’d like to be on?’” Eventually, Andre landed on “Life of the Party.”

Andre 3000 Poses With Kanye West During The BET Awards

From there, Andre discussed Drake leaking the song on his radio show, revealing that he and Kanye were in a disagreement about whether to drop it at that point. Ye wanted the legendary Outkast rapper to rewrite his verse without explicit words, while Andre said he preferred to just be cut from the song instead. “Finally, Drake puts it out. So, kinda have to thank Drake for letting that song see the light of day. And, I wanna clear something up too. I think a lot of people think that Kanye did the song and put the diss part out without me knowing about it. I’d heard the diss part and me and Kanye had a conversation about it. I had my feelings about it. I was like, ‘Man, do you really wanna do this on this type of song? It’s kinda like going and shooting up your mom’s funeral.’ He felt the way he felt at the time. He put the diss verse on it.”

Andre 3000 Reflects On “Life Of The Party”

While West left the song off of the tracklist for Donda, it eventually dropped as part of the deluxe version of the album several months later. Check out Andre 300’s full comments on “Life of the Party” below.

DJ Akademiks Isn’t Sure Lil Wayne’s Legacy Will Hold Up Following Kendrick Lamar Drama

DJ Akademiks has weighed in on how Lil Wayne has handled his recent drama with Kendrick Lamar. In doing so, he argued that the iconic rapper’s legacy may not stand the test of time. Wayne had been upset with the NFL for choosing Lamar to perform instead of him at the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show. After Lamar mentioned the drama on his new album, GNX, Wayne avoided starting a battle with him.

“I guarantee you this: Lil Wayne’s legacy in hip-hop is gonna kinda go down like Allen Iverson’s legacy in basketball,” Akademiks began. “What do I mean? Because a lot of what Wayne did to get that throne was done in the mixtape era, and these days we look at a lot of albums as the championship, per se, because we’ve almost like extinguished what’s called a mixtape or what they used to call mixtapes. They’re not existent on the platforms we now consume music on. He kinda looked like a guy who definitely revolutionized the game, like how A.I. did with how he was dribbling and how he played, but he’s kind of looked at as ringless.”

N**** was just lookin’ at the camera and hung up.” As the room burst out into laughter, Daylyt added: “The smirk that the n***a had on his face. The last time I seen that was when I was doing shenanigans. It was evil. He about to go to no return with this sh*t.”

50 Cent’s Defense Of Andrew Schulz Amid Kendrick Lamar Feud Has The Internet Riled Up

50 Cent sat down with Andrew Schulz on the latest episode of the Flagrant podcast, amid the comedian’s ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar. Discussing that topic, 50 brought up Schulz’s controversial rant about being able to sexually assault the GNX rapper. In the wake of 50 making light of the situation, and even coming to Schulz’s defense, fans on social media have not been happy.

“I’m a fan of your work, but I don’t understand what got into you that made you say you was gonna f##k Kendrick,” 50 said, before Schulz clarified that he said, “make sweet love.” 50 then jokingly apologized for the misinterpretation: “Oh, sweet love. I registered for it f*ck. This is from years and years of trauma. This comes from abuse from the neighborhood that I grew up in.”

From there, 50 discussed the backlash Schulz has been receiving for his rant. “For people to write petitions behind it, it’s crazy,” he said. “Look, I follow comedic culture. I watch the comedians. I enjoy them on another level. You are comedic. When I watch them [comedians], I look and I go, there’s no point that you could do something that actually damages what they’ve developed. Kat Williams can fight a 15-year-old kid that is his height and not do so well, right? It does no damage to Kat Williams. He’s still that guy.”

50 Cent Jokes About Drake & Kendrick Lamar

Fans on social media still aren’t happy with Schulz, regardless of 50’s stance. When AllHipHop shared a clip of the comments on Instagram, one top response reads: “They’ll always find one of us who’s willing to Sellout.” One more adds: “So…you bring the black rapper on the show to help ease the tension but it’s also the same rapper that’s been on press run in attempt to help the Toronto rapper last week…” Check out 50 Cent’s interview with Andrew Schulz below.

Andrew Schulz Claims Kendrick Lamar Is Paying People To Protest His Comedy Show

Andrew Schulz continued discussing Kendrick Lamar on Wednesday during the latest episode of his Flagrant podcast. In doing so, he accused the “Not Like Us” rapper of paying people to protest at his upcoming stand-up show in Hawaii.

After beginning by admitting that Kendrick Lamar’s team probably isn’t behind this situation, he quickly started hinting that they likely are the only ones who could afford to set up the alleged scheme. “Whose gonna have that kinda money?” he asked. “Probably a really obsessive fan. I’m not saying it’s coming from their team. I’m not saying it’s coming from Kendrick. By the way, they’re paying full price. That’s not 30% off like their streams. This is a full-price thing that they’re paying. Imagine being an artist’s artist who really believes in creativity and then censoring other artists.”

He continued: “Now, I’m not saying it’s Kendrick. It’s probably just one random fan with millions of dollars that he would like to deploy to protest a show in Hawaii of mine. Probably has nothing to do with the team freaking out and in shambles because they’ve never been made fun of on the internet and their only reaction is to go, ‘You’re racist because you wanna butt-f*ck my guy.’”

Andrew Schulz Continues Going After Kendrick Lamar

Schulz has been upset with Kendrick Lamar since the release of his GNX track, “wacced out murals,” on which the Compton rapper seemingly disses him. Just Kendrick Lamar,” he said during a recent podcast. “I would make love to him and the only thing he could do is decide if it’s consensual or not. That’s the only thing he could do. It’s not the first time Top5 has threatened Kendrick Lamar. During an appearance on Late Night With Liyah Mai back in October, he warned him against coming to Toronto. “Tell him come to Toronto. Swiss cheese,” Top5 said at the time. “I’ll get the low, put on my Nike tech black, tell YG get us a driver, put the window down and get some fresh air. How disrespectful are y’all to ask me about Kendrick Lamar? Drake’s a bad boy. There’s a girl right there, you want [her] to get you? Don’t disrespect my homie Drake like that.”

The latest comments come weeks after Lamar dropped his sixth studio album, GNX, by surprise for fans on November 22. 50 Cent Tells Cam’ron What Happened With JAY-Z Behind The Scenes Of Super Bowl LVI

50 Cent recently reflected on his relationship with JAY-Z and recalled how the Roc Nation mogul allegedly attempted to block him from performing at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. Speaking with Cam’ron for a recent interview, 50 admitted that hip-hop is competitive, but couldn’t justify why JAY wouldn’t want him at the event.

“Our culture’s competitive. It is,” he began. “I think when it goes past the music itself to the blocking things in business, then I don’t understand that. Right now, he’s not even competing for a slot. He don’t have a new song out that he wants to be on the top 10 or top 5. And you still competing? That don’t make sense. What we competing for?” From there, he recalled his feud with Fat Joe and explained that it got to the point where he couldn’t even remember why they were beefing. He added that these things should just dissolve naturally over time.

That man takes care of his family and stay out the way. These n****s know saying his name will get clicks…and Cam don’t even need the clicks,” one user wrote. Another added: “Why everybody acting clueless to why, If Hov did try to block 50 from performing at the SB? 50 keep his name in his mouth every interview which is why he probably called him ol boy this time.
