Shaq had a hilarious response to the sight of Draymond Green putting Rudy Gobert during a brawl less than two minutes into Warriors-Timberwolves. The Hall of Famer’s response came during Inside The NBA‘s half-time segment. After the team had discussed Clippers-Nuggets, they turned to Shaq. The self-described “best musician in the NBA” proceeded to remix the show’s theme song (Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out”) to reflect Green’s actions, instead playing “Mama Said Choke You Out”.

The NBA is still yet to announce a punishment for Green, who was ejected alongside teammate Klay Thompson and the Timberwolves’ Jaden McDaniels. However, on Get Up, Jay Williams said he would not be surprised if the Green was suspended for at least ten games for his behavior. Following the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr defended his player. “As far as the Draymond piece of it, Rudy had his hands on Klay’s neck. That’s why Draymond went after Rudy.” Kerr told reporters.

However, this is just Shaq’s latest piece of hilarity on the show. Last week, he was the far and away winner of the Halloween costume contest between the show’s four hosts. Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson both played it safe, going the pop culture route as Top Gun‘s Iceman and The Godfather‘s Vito Corleone respectively. Meanwhile, Charles Barkley threw it back to an iconic Kevin Durant insult leveled at him, coming into work as a bus driver. However, Shaq took the cake as he rolled up to set as “Emo Jimmy Butler”, a reference to one of the offseason’s more viral moments. Everything about the costume was perfect, from the painfully 2000s wig to the fake nose and lip rings.

Butler wasn’t playing on Halloween night, with the Heat having lost to the Bucks on the day before. However, it was definitely one of the standout costumes of the evening. Of course, Giannis had set the tone after that Bucks victory, showing up to his post-game press conference dressed as the Hulk. However, perhaps the closest contender to Shaq’s meme reference was Victor Wembanyama. The 7″4 Spurs rookie perfectly embodied Slenderman as he rolled up to the team’s game against the Suns. In fact, Wemby’s outfit was referenced on Inside The NBA, with Barkley roasting Shaq for not knowing who Slenderman was.

Draymond Green Ejected After Wild Warriors-Timberwolves Brawl

Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Jaden McDaniels were all ejected less than two minutes into Tuesday night’s in-season tournament matchup between the Warriors and Timberwolves. The brawl broke out after Thompson and McDaniels clashed in transition. McDaniels pulled on Thompson’s jersey while the latter contested for a long rebound and the pair remained tangled up amid the ensuing breakaway. The two proceeded to start fighting, leading to a game-stopping brawl. Amid the chaos, Green was seen putting Rudy Gobert in a headlock.

After the game, a tight 104-101 Timberwolves win, Gobert appeared to make light of the situation. “Every time Steph doesn’t play, [Green] doesn’t want to play without his guy Steph, so he does anything he can to get ejected,” Gobert told reporters. Furthermore, the French star referred to Green’s actions as “clown behavior” on multiple occasions through his post-game availability. After Jordan Poole was traded to the Wizards in the offseason, and Green preached turning over a new leaf, Warriors fans were likely hopeful that the team could go a season without controversy. However, a cloud now hangs over the Bay Area. Last year, it was Green punching a teammate. This season, he’s now been seen putting an opposing player in a headlock. The NBA is yet to hand down a punishment to Green and the other players who were ejected from last night’s affair. However, it’s likely that Green will be suspended for at least a few games.

As for the Warriors, it’s yet another smudge on an already middling season. The addition of Chris Paul was widely hailed as a move that helped make the Warriors a major contender in the West. However, they are 6-6 and have lost four in a row. That comes after starting the season 5-1. Even with Curry expected to return from injury sooner rather than later, the team will now likely have to survive without the rest of their big three for a significant portion of their upcoming slate. Fan Removed from Bucks-Warriors Game for Allegedly Threatening Draymond Green

The Golden State Warriors will be without their glue guy, Draymond Green, to start the season. According to ESPN, Draymond will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a left ankle sprain.

The injury occurred during a pickup game at Chase Center when Green stepped on the foot of Jonathan Kuminga.

“I dodged a bullet and learned that today by the way it’s [positively] reacting,” Green said to Andscape’s Marc Spears. “Even with an MRI you don’t see the trend of it immediately. The swelling is down.”

Green is expected to attend the Warriors media day on Monday.

The Golden State Warriors fell to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games in the Western Conference Semifinals. After the series was over, the questions were what was next for the Warriors and, more importantly, what went wrong. If you ask Steve Kerr, the team lacked trust in each other.

Safe to say that Draymond Green and Jordan Poole aren’t the best of friends. The two famously got into a fight in a preseason Warriors practice in 2022. That incident has been attributed to causing the Warriors’ failure by both Green and head coach Steve Kerr.

However, Green and Poole may have played their last game together. Green is set to become a free agent on June 30. While he is widely expected to re-sign with the Warriors, there is the potential for him to take his elite defense elsewhere in the league. Meanwhile, Poole was recently traded to the Wizards for Chris Paul. Despite this, Green may have shaded Poole in a recent TikTok. The video was recorded while Green was attending The Match golf event in Nevada.

Green Picks Kuzma Over Pool In Roster Builder Challenge

In a TikTok for Bleacher Report, Green jumped on the “roster builder challenge”. Essentially, you have to create an NBA roster using one player from five randomly-selected teams. The video started simply enough, with Green choosing Cavs PG Darius Garland and Utah F Lauri Markkanen. Then came the Wizards as Green’s third team. “Who still on Washington’s team?” Green said with a laugh before taking F Kyle Kuzma. Additionally, Green rounded out his team with Damian Lillard (Blazers) and Bam Adebayo (Heat). When asked how they would do, Green argued that “they should win. But they don’t have me, Steph, or Klay. This is an Eastern Conference team. They lose in the Finals to the Warriors.”

Perhaps the bigger story here is the lowkey indication that Green is more than likely headed back to the Warriors. But of course, you can’t talk about the Wizards without mentioning their newest addition. Green took Kuzma over Jordan Poole, the newest Wizard excluding draft picks. But is this really shade? Or is it just an objective assessment? Kuzma had a line of 21.2/7.2/3.7 in 64 games. Poole went 20.4/2.7/4.5 in 82 games. While Green couldn’t predict the next team, taking Poole would also mean losing out on Lillard. So while there’s definitely maybe a little bit of shade, it also just shows Green’s good basketball IQ.
