DaBaby Shares Freestyle Over Ice Spice’s “Deli” Beat

DaBaby has been working hard in the studio recently. The rapper has released new songs, new music videos, and now a series of new remixes in just the past few weeks alone. Earlier this week he released a freestyle over the 21 Savage and Young Nudy song “Peaches & Eggplants.” Earlier today he also shared his own take on the recent Burna Boy hit “Sittin On Top Of The World.” But in between those two he released perhaps the most interesting of the trio of remixes.

What really grabbed the attention of both fans and fellow celebs alike is DaBaby’s take on Ice Spice’s recent hit “Deli.” The song has been a major social media hit which has translated to chart success as it’s stuck on the Hot 100 since it was released. Overnight Baby shared his take on the song with an accompanying video on Instagram. “Sh!t Im from the south what’s a Deli?🤔 2 FOR 2 💨💨 “DELI” (Freestyle) 🔥🔥🔥 -Mr Walk It Down,” his caption reads. Clearly, the performance is connecting with people as the comments are filled with nothing but praise. Other rappers pop up to show their support as well. “They can’t f*ck wit him,” 50 Cent said in a comment under the post. “Hard,” BIA agreed. Check out the full freestyle below.

DaBaby Jumps On An Ice Spice Beat

Even though DaBaby hasn’t released a new album since last year his output still hasn’t slowed down. Earlier this year he dropped the “CALL DA FIREMAN” EP which spawned a hit song in “SHAKE SUMN.” He was eventually joined by up-and-coming rap star Sexyy Red for a remix of the song.

What do you think of DaBaby’s performance over the beat for “Deli” by Ice Spice? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ice Spice Shuts Down The ‘Deli’ To Twerk And Stack Cash In Her New Video

Ice Spice has the summer on lock. With a song on the Barbie soundtrack, as well as a feature on a Taylor Swift single, the Bronx rapper is inescapable this year. Now, hot of the release of her Like…? (Deluxe) EP, Ice has shared the music video for her viral new single, “Deli.

As its title suggests, the video features Ice and her crew dancing in a deli. The bodega appears to be closed down, as Ice and friends twerk on counters, stack up cash, and party it up without a care in the world.

Shortly after, Ice steps out to a crowd ready to greet her with much fanfare.

Perhaps this part of the video was inspired by real life. In an interview with Guardian, Ice revealed that she finds herself living a more clandestine life as she’s adjusted to fame.

“I’ll be thinking that I’m low-key, but then people start to notice – and once one person notices, people start to form a crowd and then I be getting a little overwhelmed,” she said. “…That’s the biggest thing to adjust to in real life – not being able to be outside as myself as much. I more gotta be, like, hiding a little bit.”

Ice Spice Is Serving Up Looks In The ‘Deli’ On Her New Single

In true New York fashion, Ice Spice’s newest single is an ode to a city staple — the deli. On “Deli,’ Ice is has gone from a scrappy newcomer to a full-blown superstar.

Teaming up with her frequent collaborator RiotUSA, Ice is embracing her opulence as one of rap’s most prolific acts.

“She a baddie, she showin’ her panty / She shake it like jelly / Hundred bands in Chanel-y / But I’m still shakin’ ass in the deli,” she raps with fervor on the song’s chorus.

The past year has been monumental for Ice. She has a collaboration with Nicki Minaj on the Barbie soundtrack — which is out today. She also collaborated with Taylor Swift back in May.

But no matter how famous she gets, she will always have love for where she came from — The Bronx.

In an interview with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, Ice showed love for her home borough and expressed her gratitude for the upbringing she experienced.

“A childhood in the Bronx, I’m not going to lie, is fun, for me,” she said. “That’s how my childhood was. I know a lot of people in the Bronx have different experiences, especially depending on what part of the Bronx you from. But I had a fun childhood. I mean, I only know it from my perspective.”
