LeBron James And JJ Redick Clown Colin Cowherd Over Backwards Hat Comments

LeBron James and JJ Redick have been collaborating on their fantastic Mind The Game podcast. The NBA legend and NBA veteran discusses basketball in an in-depth way, giving fans an idea of the behind-the-scenes intricacies of the game. They dissect specific plays and break down what makes players like Steph Curry so good. If you know anything about LeBron, then you know he has plenty of detractors. Haters are going to hate you, especially when you have been great for that long. It’s expected for LeBron, but now JJ Redick has caught a stray from Colin Cowherd.

When JJ Redick, an ESPN commentator, found himself in the center of Colin Cowherd’s protracted backward hat rant, he couldn’t help but chuckle. Cowherd, for years, has been a proponent of the idea that if you wear a backward hat, you aren’t a serious person. He primarily used to talk about Matt Stafford, when he played quarterback for the Detroit Lions, who wore a backward hat when he was not in the game. Now Cowheards law of hats has hit JJ Redick, and he and LeBron find it hilarious

LeBron James and JJ Redick have a Good Laugh At Colin Cowherd

Cowherd offered commentary on the most recent edition of Redick’s podcast with LeBron James on The Herd on Wednesday. Because Redick had his hat on backward during the interview, the radio host said that he “looks like a guy that’s gonna move my couch.” Cowherd continued, saying it’s a bad look for somebody who wants to be an NBA coach. JJ replied with a dismissive “lol.” Then his pod teammate LeBron joined in with his tweet, posting two current head coaches in the NBA wearing backward hats.

JJ Redick is on the shortlist of candidates for the Lakers head coaching job after Darvin Ham was fired last Friday. Redick has had teams like the Charlotte Hornets reach out and want to interview him for their coaching positions. Whatever the case, JJ might make a good NBA coach. His relationship with one LeBron James might get him in the door for the Lakers.

Colin Cowherd Proclaims Kevin Durant Is Becoming Irrelevant

Colin Cowherd has some bold takes about Kevin Durant after game 1 of Suns vs. Timberwolves. Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns lost their game-one matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves 95 to 120. Anthony Edwards led the Wolves to their blowout win, scoring 33 points and grabbing 9 boards in a statement win. The young star made sure to let Kevin Durant know he had his way. KD just smiled and continued to hoop, obviously respecting Edwards’ smack talk. It’s game one of the playoffs, and you should never get carried away after game one of a seven-game series. Things can change pretty fast in the NBA playoffs.

On The Herd, Colin Cowherd had some hot takes about Kevin Durant after the Suns lost. Cowherd was not impressed by the performance and took shots at Durant. Cowherd believes Durant is in danger of becoming irrelevant because other players are eclipsing his accomplishments. The two-time champion is yet again in the midst of more discourse about his career. After just game one, what are the takes going to look like after game two?

Colin Cowherd Rips KD After Game 1

After watching two hours of Durant and the Suns get rolled, Cowherd is examining KD’s whole career. The sports talking head says he saw no fight or toughness from the Suns, and it all comes down to Durant. He goes on to list all the players that have eclipsed Kevin Durant, who he says a few years ago people argued was better than LeBron. Cowherd goes on to circle back to the subject everyone circles back to when discussing Durant: The Golden State Warriors. Cowherd criticized his decision-making, implying he really cared about winning. KD did leave a pretty perfect on-court situation in Golden State. He probably would have another ring if he stayed.

Since Golden State, Kevin Durant hasn’t been past the second round of the playoffs. His stop in Brooklyn ended unceremoniously. His Suns tenure has been erratic, and they haven’t lived up to expectations. The narrative could change if the Suns end up winning their series against the Timberwolves, which is very possible. The Suns face off against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Shannon Sharpe Spurns ESPN For Colin Cowherd

Shannon Sharpe has reportedly found his new home. And sadly, it’s bad news for Stephen A. Smith. In a video posted by The Volume, the network founded by Colin Cowherd, Sharpe revealed that the video outlet would be his next port of call. The decision comes after a rollercoaster three months following Sharpe’s surprise exit from FS1 and Undisputed. The frontrunner for the longest time appeared to be ESPN and more specifically, First Take. Stephen A. Smith had been incredibly eager to bring Sharpe on board. However, Sharpe has taken his talent elsewhere.

“I felt The Volume was the best place for me,” Sharpe explained in a video published by the platform. An ecstatic Cowherd replied by saying he felt like he’d “landed Peyton Manning in Denver.” Furthermore, Cowherd went on to say that he wanted to land Sharpe because of his commitment. Of course, the pair worked in the same building while they were both at FS1. However, it is worth noting that the announcement specifically appeared to be about Club Shay Shay. It is unclear if Sharpe will be doing other work elsewhere on top of that.

ESPN Suffers Major Blow Losing Sharpe

Of course, the biggest losers in all of this are ESPN. It’s clear that their major talent layoffs at the end of June were in service of trying to land the free agent Sharpe. Additionally, the acquisition of the Pat McAfee brand was another move to try and convince Sharpe to join the network. They wanted to free up the capital to bring in him while also showing him that he wouldn’t have to sacrifice his brand of content. Additionally, the talent they let go of is now coming back to bite them.

Keyshawn Johnson was one of the contract casualties at the network. He’s now under contract with FS1 to work with Skip Bayless on Undisputed. ESPN made a massive play for Sharpe and it simply appears that they lost out. It’s unlikely that First Take and Stephen A. Smith are going to suffer all that much from the loss. However, it is yet another sign that ESPN is not the sports behemoth that it once was. Smith is yet to respond to the news about Sharpe.

Colin Cowherd Makes Egregious Dwayne Haskins Error

Colin Cowherd is a sports talk television commentator who is known for having some controversial takes. He currently hosts The Herd over on FS1 where he can always be seen delivering some wishy-washy takes. Overall, Cowherd’s whole thing is saying an outlandish opinion, being proven wrong, then changing his opinion as if he was always right, to begin with. Although people see through this, other viewers just lap it up. He’s not as big as Skip Bayless or Stephen A. Smith. However, he doesn’t need to be as he already has a dedicated fanbase.

Today, Colin Cowherd found himself in a very bad spot. As you can see in the video clip below, he decided to do a segment on quarterbacks who cannot win a Super Bowl. Overall, the list is poorly researched as many of the QBs on the list are either retired or free agents. However, the most egregious error was the one about none other than Dwayne Haskins. Haskins passed away just a couple of years ago. Although, he still ended up on the list.

Colin Cowherd Puts His Foot In His Mouth

As you can imagine, fans were absolutely outraged over this. Most people were just shocked that Cowherd would be so callous in the way he spoke about Haskins. However, most noted that Cowherd probably didn’t even know that Haskins had passed away. This is a huge error and oversight. Of course, Cowherd is not the only one to blame here as someone provided some poor research prior to the airing of the segment. All-in-all, this is a PR nightmare for FS1.

Cowherd has yet to react to the backlash from this clip. However, he will likely have to, otherwise, things will only get worse. Let us know your thoughts on all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world. Colin Cowherd Roasts The Entire Warriors Roster

Colin Cowherd is one of those analysts who is right 50 percent of the time, and wrong the other 50 percent. Overall, he achieves this balanced record by flipping his opinion whenever he is proven wrong. If he tells you LeBron James sucks and then James scored 50, well, the next day Cowherd will tell you he always believed in LeBron. Needless to say, he is wrong one day, right the other, thus landing a 50 percent clip. However, fans don’t love this approach, as they feel like it is less interesting than what Skip Bayless and Stephen A. do.

That said, Colin Cowherd knows how to be wildly entertaining when he wants to be. On Tuesday morning, we saw just that. The Warriors had just lost to the Lakers, and the L was fresh in people’s minds. Steph Curry was amazing throughout the game, however, his teammates played poorly. Consequently, Cowherd decided to unleash a rant upon the Warriors’ roster. The only person who was exempt was none other than Stephen Curry.

Colin Cowherd Goes In

“Look at this team, Klay Thompson is sometimes as awful as he is good, [Andrew] Wiggins is meek, Donte DiVincenzo a couple of turnovers last night, Jordan Poole nobody trusts him, Draymond Green doesn’t give you offense, and Kevon Looney can just rebound…Gary Payton II was Steph Curry’s best teammate last night…what are the Warriors without Steph?” Colin Cowherd asked. These are very good questions. Typically, the roster around Steph has performed to the point where it masks his own flaws. However, there is nowhere to hide, and the Warriors look vulnerable. One can imagine what will happen if his teammates lay an egg yet again in Game 5.

The aforementioned Game 5 is set to go down on Wednesday, May 10th. If the Warriors lose, their season is over. However, they can extend the series an extra game by winning. If they come back from down 3-1, well, revenge will officially be exacted and 2016 will be vindicated. Let us know what you think of Colin Cowherd’s rant, in the comments section below. Colin Cowherd’s Hot Take On James Harden

Colin Cowherd is making waves with his latest comments on Sixers star James Harden. On Tuesday’s episode of Herd w/Colin Cowherd, the radio host went at Harden’s struggles in the opening round series with the Brooklyn Nets. Cowherd went as far as to say that Harden has become a glorified role player for Philadelphia. The definition of a role player is hard to describe as a former league MVP. However, Harden’s performance in Game 2 of the Sixers-Nets series does leave a lot to be desired.

Harden finished the game with just 8 points in nearly 40 minutes of a play. It doesn’t help that Harden was also second in turnovers on the team, with five. However, Cowherd believes there is a lot that has gone into the dropping in performance by Harden. One of those things is how Harden has treated his body during his playing career. Cowherd credits Tom Brady and LeBron James for how they take care of their bodies during the season. Now, Cowherd doesn’t believe that what Harden does off the court is wrong. But he does see it as a factor in how Harden has performed as he has aged.

Colin Cowherd Doesn’t Have Faith In Harden

Harden’s playoff performances have gotten worse as time has gone on. His points-per-game average has become drastically worse in just four years. In order for the Sixers to contend for the NBA Finals, they will need to see glimpses of the old Harden. In the current series with the Nets, the Sixers have gone to Tyrese Maxey as their second scoring option. Maxey finished game two as the leading scorer for the Sixers. The former Kentucky star dropped 33 points in the presence of his college coach John Calipari.

To win the NBA Finals, a team must see great performances from everyone who sees the court. However, Harden has yet to deliver a great performance in the first two games of the opening round. Does Colin Cowherd have a point about Harden’s current role in Philadelphia? Can the Sixers win the championship without more of an impact from Harden? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it locked in here with HNHH.

Colin Cowherd’s Scorching Take On Golden State Warriors Star

Colin Cowherd is making waves once again this week. The fiery radio host is attacking a Golden State Warriors star. On his podcast, The Colin Cowherd Podcast, Cowherd discusses how Jordan Poole was a liability to the Warriors in their loss to the Kings. Specifically, Cowherd talks about Poole’s defensive abilities as being an issue for the Warriors guard. The Kings won an exciting game one over the Warriors 123-120. However, Cowherd is of the camp, that Poole is one of the biggest reasons for the loss.

The popular personality even eludes to Warriors forward Draymond Green discussing the loss. Green believes one of the biggest reasons the Warriors lost was the performance of Mailk Monk. Monk had a monstrous performance in the Kings victory. The former Kentucky star delivered 32 points off the bench for Sacramento. When a bench player delivers like that, it may be an impossible task to earn a victory. To hear Cowherd’s comments on Poole, check out the video below.

Colin Cowherd Has Zero Faith In Jordan Poole

Poole has become the third long-distance shooting threat for the Warriors. Even during Saturday night’s game, Poole delivered with 17 points for his team. However, if the player your guard nearly doubles your output, then you have an issue. Poole and the Warriors will have to have a short memory. Golden State will meet Sacramento in game 2 on Monday night. The atmosphere for game 2 maybe even louder than game 1, as the Kings have a chance to go up 2-0.

Cowherd has a lot of bass in his comments. Yes, Poole’s defensive performance has been abysmal. However, the team has proven they can win a championship with Poole on the floor. However, it is up to Poole to understand how he can change his game for the better. The Warriors will not win a championship this season without the entire team being on the same page. What are your thoughts on Colin Cowherd’s comments on Jordan Poole? Do you agree or disagree? Let us know what you think in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here at HNHH.

Colin Cowherd Compares Luka Doncic To Former NBA Star

Colin Cowherd is no strange to making a headline. The radio personality recently discussed his thoughts on Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic. Even comparing Doncic to a former NBA superstar. However, the comparison doesn’t highlight their shared positive impacts on the game. But rather everything that is wrong with the said duo. Cowherd believes Doncic is going down the path of a future NBA Hall-of-Famer. Let the Doncic and Carmelo Anthony comparisons begin.

“We’re falling in love with this great hyper, offensive player. Moody, difficult, needs ball, won’t defend. Is he gonna end up [like] Carmelo Anthony?” The comparison may not be off-based to many who followed Anthony’s career. The former New York Knicks star was one of the greatest offensive weapons in the league. However, his defense left a lot to be desired. Those positives and negatives are the exact statements people use to describe Luka. However, Doncic is looking to shed the stigma that he is a bad defensive player.

Colin Cowherd Sees Carmelo In Luka

Anthony’s legacy seems somewhat tarnished after his stints with Oklahoma City and Houston. It was no secret that Melo’s role was changing after his exit from New York. However, the scoring machine didn’t see it that way. Doncic could soon find himself in the same situation. The Dallas guard has even mentioned the struggles he has on the defensive end. Suggesting that he has to get better on that side of the ball. A big reason as to why the team will be sitting at home during the playoffs. But not the entire reason.

Doncic has a lot to work on. But the Mavericks even have more to do when planning the team’s future. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has recently mentioned that signing Kyrie Irving will be the top priority this offseason. However, will the all-star guard even be interested in coming back? If Irving does decide to return, what will that mean for Luka’s future with the organization? Drop your predictions on the future of the Mavericks franchise and Colin Cowherd’s comments. Colin Cowherd Rips Michael Jordan In Epic Rant: Watch

Colin Cowherd is someone who has always been brutally honest when speaking on topics around the sports world. Overall, he is one of the funnier personalities because of his contradictions. One day he will say one thing, only to go back on it the very next day. Ultimately, this makes him very relatable as we have all contradicted ourselves to brush off being wrong the first time. Although Cowherd does this to mixed results, there is no denying the fact that he is great at eliciting responses from people.

Recently, Cowherd was on his very own podcast where he absolutely went off on Michael Jordan. This rant was prompted by the fact that Jordan is looking to sell his stake in the Charlotte Hornets. Consequently, Cowherd decided to destroy Jordan for his post-playing career. Moreover, Cowherd suggested that without Phil Jackson and Scottie Pippen, there would be no mythology around MJ. It was an absolutely scathing takedown that continues to go viral throughout social media.

Colin Cowherd Speaks

“He tried baseball. Failed. He tried ownership. Was awful. He tried the Wizards. It bombed,” Cowherd said. “Everybody understands, that take out Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson, this whole Michael Jordan mythology is sort of just that. He’s arguably the greatest basketball player of all-time… Michael was always a bit of a selfish player. He’s a bit of a selfish guy. And, he’s not great at building community. He’s great at building wealth for Michael Jordan. That’s fine. It’s not a criticism, it’s a reality of who Michael is.” Overall, these are some very strong words. However, they aren’t exactly new thoughts. Many have said these things about Jordan before, just not in such brazen of a fashion.

Coming from Cowherd, these words might not hold very much weight. Had one of Jordan’s peers said it, then people would absolutely listen. But from Cowherd, it just comes across like an attempt to go viral. Either way, it certainly worked as this podcast clip continues to make the rounds. Let us know what you think of the rant, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Colin Cowherd Floats Anthony Davis To Dallas Rumor

Colin Cowherd is one of the most entertaining people on sports talk television. Overall, this is due to the fact that he is always changing his mind based on what the correct position is. For instance, he will make a prediction that is usually wrong. Subsequently, he will come into his show the next day and act as if he always knew the correct outcome was going to happen. It’s pretty funny to watch him do this, and fans have taken note of his various hot takes.

Typically, Cowherd will also provide fans with some wild rumors that a little birdie told him. These rumors can be quite outlandish, although sometimes, they feel like they hold some weight. On the most recent edition of his show, Cowherd felt the need to speculate on the relationship between LeBron James and Anthony Davis. There has been this sense that AD is upset with LeBron, although AD himself noted that is not the case. However, this did not stop Cowherd from delivering some rumors pertaining to the Lakers’ personnel.

Colin Cowherd Speculates

In the clip above, Cowherd claims that we could see a scenario in which the Lakers traded Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks. This could include a sign and trade for Kyrie Irving come the summer once Kyrie becomes a free agent. “LeBron and his camp have been frustrated by how many minutes he has to play,” Cowherd claimed. “They cant depend on Anthony Davis. They are also mad that Darvin Ham is not keeping the pressure on Anthony Davis.” These are definitely some interesting comments, although most Lakers fans are convinced this will not happen. After all, this is coming from Cowherd of all people.

The Lakers do remain in a precarious position. They need to make the playoffs in order to justify some of the moves they have made over the past year or so. If they cannot get that done, then this team is truly in shambles despite LeBron and AD’s presence on the team. Let us know what you think the Lakers are going to do, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.
