J. Cole Reunites With Wale To Celebrate Manager’s Birthday

J. Cole reunited with Wale while celebrating his longtime manager Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad’s 40th birthday. In a post on Hamad’s Instagram page with photos from the night, Cole and Wale posed together for a picture.

“Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes and to anyone that came out to celebrate with me this weekend,” Hamad captioned the post. “I feel blessed to have an amazing family and so many friends that have been by my side for a very long time. The love was felt and I’m thankful for everyone that made my 40th a special memory I’ll never forget.” In a separate video from the event, Cole gives a toast to Hamad. “I will say, my n***a, we love you and appreciate you. Happy 40th. Big one,” he says, keeping things brief.

Cole and Wale have worked together many times over the years, as far back as 2009 when they collaborated on “Rather Be With You (Vagina Is for Lovers)” and “Beautiful Bliss.” They most recently worked on the track “Poke It Out” from Wale’s album Folarin 2 in 2021. In 2016, Cole also rapped about Wale on the track, “False Prophets.” He said: “I got a homie, he a rapper and he wanna win bad/ He want the fame, the acclaim, the respect that’s been had/ By all the legends, so every time I see him, he stressin’/ Talkin’ ’bout n****s don’t f*ck with him, this sh*t is depressin’/ And I know he so bitter he can’t see his own blessings.”

Lil Yachty Adds All Of His Followers To His Close Friends On IG

Lil Yachty has had himself a truly amazing year both in and outside of music. Overall, it all started with the album Let’s Start Here. This psychedelic rap album had a lot of people excited and it is still getting a ton of plays. Moreover, he has been working with Drake and J. Cole. Not to mention, he has dropped some other experimental rap tracks this year that have grown his cache. Add last year’s “Poland” into the mix and it becomes clear that Yachty is on a whole different time right now.

Furthermore, Yachty got to perform at Camp Flog Gnaw over the weekend. It was a huge moment for him as the crowd was going wild. After the show, he got to take in some of the other performances. For instance, he was front and center for the Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar set. Now, however, he is making new moves on social media in light of his performance. Essentially, he has taken all of his Instagram followers and has added them to his Close Friends IG story. This led to his first post as part of this new strategy.

Lil Yachty Updates His Socials

“I threw up after my Flog Gnaw set,” Yachty said. Essentially, Yachty wanted to tell all of his fans what happened. He could have done that on Twitter or his regular IG account, but alas, he wanted to make his fans feel a bit more special for a small amount of time. The Close Friends tab on IG is one that has probably led to a lot of inner conflict and turmoil from those who get jealous. For many, it is seen as some sort of exclusive club. However, for Yachty, it seems more like just something to have fun with.

Friends close to Adele are reportedly concerned about her relationship with Rich Paul. For those of you who don’t know, the pop star and successful sports agent started dating sometime in 2021, at least in the public eye. After rumors swirled for a couple of months, people spotted them courtside at an NBA game, an organization with which Paul works often as he represents stars like Lebron James. However, rumors and reports indicate that the singer’s friends believe Paul isn’t invested for the right reasons. Rather, they allegedly believe he’s only with her to boost his own profile in Hollywood and pop culture.

“Rich is a very charming, influential guy,” one insider reportedly stated. “But the worry is he’s using Adele to boost his Hollywood profile and it’ll all end in tears once he’s gotten bored with her.” Another allegedly claimed that no one knew about him before this relationship. “Before they went public, hardly anyone had heard of the guy. Now he’s front and center at all the big events, soaking up the limelight and encouraging her to get out there and party alongside him.”

Of course, many on social media pointed out that to call Rich Paul a nobody is disingenuous and frankly ridiculous. After all, he represents some of the biggest league players and is likely well-known among the industry as a behind-the-scenes leader. Also, is this really how people will react when a celebrity doesn’t date another celebrity? Regardless, they went through some reportedly rough patches, but things overall have gone great for them in the public eye.

In fact, their relationship also fell prey to engagement rumors, which quickly swirled online after some hints. First, people saw a big piece of jewelry on Adele’s ring finger during the 2022 BRIT Awards. Later, she addressed the rumors after she was asked about it on The Graham Norton Show. ““If I was, would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?” she replied.
