DeMar DeRozan’s Daughter Diar Escorted Out Of NBA Game After Online Threats

Wednesday’s play-in game pitting the Toronto Raptors against the Chicago Bulls was quite the stressful endeavor, especially for DeMar DeRozan. Reportedly, his team‘s security escorted his nine-year-old daughter Diar out of the Raptors’ arena because she received many online threats. Furthermore, that was probably because she screamed during the Raptors’ free throws, which many thought gave the Bulls an edge. However, when you look at the 17-point lead that the Raptors blew, it’s evident that the Toronto team had bigger things to worry about than a yelling child. Also, it’s no reason for people to threaten a young child who had nothing to do with the sporting event, as disrespectful as some people think it came across.

Regardless, the Chicago Bulls emerged victorious from the match, with DeRozan in particular nabbing 23 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Unfortunately, after their loss to the Miami Heat on Friday (April 14), the Bulls will not make it to the playoffs this year. However, DeMar expressed unhappiness of claims of “overrated” status within the league, given his trade history and his impressive acumen throughout his career. Maybe this is necessary motivation to keep improving as a player, and he could definitely lead the Bulls to a run at some point in the future.

DeMar DeRozan’s Daughter Gets Online Threats Over Screaming At Raptors Game

After all, he is a record-breaking player, with him surpassing Wilt Chamberlain in most consecutive games played with over 35 points and over 50% shot percentage. “Just to be in the record books along with staples of basketball history speechless,” DeMar DeRozan remarked after the achievement. “As a kid, as a fan of the history of the game, being in the league as long as I’ve been in the league, things like that continue to make me even more humble.”

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old Compton native issued a statement following threats to his daughter’s life. “As long as she was there with her father, I wasn’t worried about anything happening!” he expressed. “It was just a precautionary measure and I appreciate that.” Hopefully the star player‘s family can go to games more peacefully following this incident. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest NBA updates and more news on DeMar DeRozan.

Patrick Beverley Takes Shot At Toronto Raptors

Patrick Beverley is no stranger to trash talk. No matter who the opponent may be, Beverley will talk that talk. Just the season, the Chicago Bulls star made it his mission to try and end the Los Angeles Lakers season. Beverley wanted the chance to prove that his old team needed him. The Bulls got the win. However, the Lakers still punched their playoff ticket. Since then, Beverley has had bigger fish to fry. His Bulls are looking to punch their own playoff ticket. However, they would need to get by the Toronto Raptors first.

Indeed the Bulls passed their first test in the play-in tournament. On Wednesday, the team would defeat the Raptors to move on to the eighth-place matchup with the Miami Heat. But after the game, Beverley wanted to remind Toronto just who sent them home this season. Raptors TV broadcast assistant Mike Roach caught a Beverley moment as the Bulls guard ran past Raptors GM Bobby Webster. “I knew they were f****** trash.” Obviously, the they Beverley was referring to was Webster’s Raptors. But the Bulls didn’t win the game so easily.

Patrick Beverley Lets The Raptors Know

If you watched the game, you would know this one came down to free throws. The Raptors threw up brick after brick from the charity stripe. All those misses came back to haunt the team in their nail-biting defeat. Beverley is no stranger to becoming an icon of the play-in tournament. During his time in Minnesota, the Timberwolves earned a playoff spot through the tournament. Culminating in Beverley becoming a living GIF by throwing his jersey in the crowd in celebration.

As the great Kobe Bryant once said, the job is not finished. In order for Beverley in the Bulls to make the playoffs, they will need to defeat the Miami Heat on Friday night. The two teams will be competing for the final spot in the Eastern Conference. However, now it seems Patrick Beverley has made a new enemy with the entire city of Toronto. What are your thoughts on Beverley’s shot toward the Raptors? Do you think it was petty or just a part of the game? Sound off in the comment section with your thoughts. Twitter Loves Diar DeRozan’s Free Throw Screams

Getting loud during free throws is a time-honored basketball tradition. For a player, thousands of people trying to break your concentration can be incredibly daunting. Additionally, the energy is exponential – every missed free throw will only make the crowd louder. At this point, it is simply a part of basketball culture.

But to go viral for screaming at free throws, you need to really stand out. With thousands of other people doing the exact same thing, it’s truly a feat for your voice to be heard. However, that’s exactly what happened at the crucial Bulls-Raptors Play-In game. And the viral figure in question just happens to be the daughter of one of the players on the court.

Raptors Miss 18 Free Throws Thanks To DeMar DeRozan’s Daughter

In a do-or-die match to stay alive in the NBA playoffs, the Chicago Bulls traveled to Scotiabank Arena to face the Toronto Raptors. The teams finished ninth and tenth in the regular-season standings. As the ninth and tenth-seeded teams, the winner would face the Heat for the last place in the playoffs while the loser would start their offseason. The Bulls were looking to reach the playoffs in back-to-back playoffs for the first time since 2014. The Raptors were looking to do the same for the first time since 2020. It was a vital matchup for two teams coming off mediocre regular seasons.

The Raptors got off to the better start and were up by 11 at halftime. However, they were outscored by 16 in the second half to lose by four, 109-105. What would have helped the Raptors hold onto their lead would have been better free-throw shooting. The Raptors missed a season-high 18 free throws, eventually going 18-36 from the line. Notably, Diar DeRozan, daughter of the Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan, was incredibly vocal during every Raptors trip to the line. She is now being credited with being an essential part of the Bulls’ win. Her father put up 23 points and 7 rebounds for the Bulls. Zach LaVine led all scorers with 39 points. The Bulls will now face Miami for the East’s eight-seed on Friday.

Former Chicago Bulls Star Arrested On Weapons Charge

A former Chicago Bulls star has once again made headlines for the wrong reasons. On Tuesday, Ben Gordon was arrested after reports of “a male acting aggressively and in a bizarre manner” inside of a business in Connecticut. The police subdued Gordon shortly after arriving on the scene. That is when the officers found weapons on Gordon. It has been a tough year for the former Chicago guard. Tuesday’s arrest is the third time in a year that Gordon has been arrested.

Gordon was an instant star for the Bulls. A team who, at the time, was seeking an identity as a franchise. Gordon was part of a stacked backcourt in Chicago. The former UCONN Husky played alongside Kirk Henrich and last played for the team in 2004. Gordon spent eleven seasons in the NBA. Playing for Chicago, Detroit, Charlotte, and Orlando. His last appearance in the NBA was in the 2014-15 season with the Magic. According to the Associated Press report, the incident on Tuesday happened on Gordon’s 40th birthday.

Ben Gordon Facing Charges On 40th Birthday

Gordon’s recent troubles have many thinking about what could have caused this. It is hard to see someone as successful as Gordon fall into such a deep hole. While speculations will surely run rampant. One must hope that Gordon will find help for the issues he currently is dealing with. As for the other two incidents that followed in his arrest. The AP stated, “Gordon was charged with punching his son at New York’s LaGuardia Airport in October. In November, he was charged with a misdemeanor in Chicago for allegedly punching a McDonald’s security guard.”

The situation with Gordon is heartbreaking to follow. The Chicago Bulls was the perfect place for Gordon to begin his NBA career. Gordon was known as a great scorer during his time in the league. During the 2006-07 season, Gordon posted his greatest scoring year. The former NBA veteran averaged nearly 22 points that season. Gordon has made no statement since the alleged incident. Cam’ron’s Reaction To Pat Beverley’s Strange Pre-Game No-No

Cam’Ron had a hilarious reaction to Patrick Beverley’s latest comments on his pre-game rituals. The Chicago Bulls star admitted he doesn’t have sex before games. A bizarre yet not entirely unheard of thing that athletes have stated they do. Cam’ron, on the other hand, believes that shouldn’t be an issue for Beverley. On Wednesday’s episode of It Is What It Is, the legendary rapper brought up Beverley’s hold-up on physical activities before games.

The “Got It For Cheap” musician didn’t hold back his feelings on the awkward pre-game ritual. “You averaging a single-single, you my n—- but go get you some p—- before the game.” The comment is a strong one directed right at Beverley. The rap star doesn’t believe sex is stopping how Beverley performs on the court. That is because he believes Beverley’s impact on the game is minuscule, to say a LeBron James or Kevin Durant. Check out the entire episode of It Is What It Is, below.

Cam’ron Doesn’t Believe Beverley Should Partake In Bizarre Pre-Game Ritual

Beverley isn’t one to hold back his opinions. The long-time NBA veteran has discussed many things on his own show, The Pat Bev Pod. Just recently, Beverley discussed his feelings on trying to play spoiler to LeBron and the Lakers playoff run. Including the now-famous interaction between Beverley and LeBron during the Bulls win over the Lakers. However, now it seems Beverley is at the forefront of the joke. It appears as if Cam’ron was having a little fun with someone he considers a friend.

We have yet to hear Beverley’s thoughts on the comment. While I’m sure, he won’t take them lightly. Considering the comment is a shot at his performance on the court. Something tells me the next episode of Beverley’s podcast may have a direct quote for a particular rap star. What are your thoughts on the comments about Beverley? Do you feel the “My Job” artist went a little too far attacking Pat’s performance? Or do you feel this was just a funny comment that isn’t that deep? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below. For the latest news involving the NBA, please stick with us at HNHH.

Isiah Thomas Delivers Surprising “Bad Boy Pistons” Hot Take

Isiah Thomas ran the ship for one of the most iconic NBA teams of the 80s. The Detroit Pistons made their mark on the league with an attitude no one could duplicate. The physicality and talent of the “Bad Boy” Pistons were significant enough to earn the team two NBA Championships. Sadly, when discussing the greatest teams in league history, the Pistons are often forgotten. The franchise earned its back-to-back titles at a time when the league was having a changing of the guard. Thomas recently spoke about the Pistons’ place in NBA history.

During an interview on All The Smoke, Thomas told show hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson his feelings on the issue. Thomas stated, “What I would say, who’s been the most impactful team on the NBA, it’s the Detroit Pistons. When you look at our style of play, pick-and-roll basketball, stretch 5 in Laimbeer, small guards, you know, shooting from the perimeter. We didn’t have a post-up player. The way we influenced the game, little guys like myself, we weren’t supposed to win championships.”

Isiah Thomas Claims Pistons Are Most Influential Team

The term dynasty is for the elite. For most, the elite are franchises that have won three or more titles. The Pistons technically do not fit that description. However, it would be hard to tell the story of the NBA without mentioning the 89-90 Pistons. Those teams could arguably be the biggest adversaries to Michael Jordan’s legacy. The ‘Bad Boys’ are the reason Jordan potentially doesn’t have more than six rings. There’s a reason Jordan has noticeably had disdain for Thomas after all these years.

The Pistons were a problem for the entire league during that era. Unfortunately, their success is sandwiched between two iconic eras. However, if you’re old enough to remember or even read up on NBA history. You’ll know how important Isiah Thomas and the Detroit Pistons truly are. Thomas should be proud of his time with the Pistons and what they accomplished. A franchise that was built by toughness and pure talent. Lonzo Ball Breaks Silence On Latest Injury Update

Lonzo Ball has gone through some serious injury issues over the last year and some change. Firstly, Ball was hit with the injury bug back in January of 2022. He hurt his knee and needed to get surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery didn’t help much as Ball was still in pain. Even at the start of the season, Lonzo had not shown signs of improvement. Consequently, he went out and got himself a second surgery. However, even that hasn’t helped. Ball is still in pain, and he cannot run or jump.

This has shocked doctors, and it has subsequently led to quite a few consultations across the country. On Thursday, it was revealed that Ball will actually get a third surgery. In fact, this will be a cartilage transplant, which is a pretty rare procedure. Needless to say, doctors just want to get to the bottom of all of this. Luckily, Ball and the Bulls or confident that this procedure will finally solve all of his issues.

Lonzo Ball Speaks

“This has been a frustrating process, but I’m confident these next steps are the best path forward,” Ball said. “The support of my family, friends, fans and medical staff throughout my recovery is what keeps me moving forward. I can’t wait to get back to what I love doing most – playing basketball.” Unfortunately, it should be noted that Ball will have to miss a whole other season of basketball. He will likely have to return for the 2024-25 season.

Overall, it is a very unfortunate situation for all involved, especially Lonzo. We just hope that he is able to get his body right, as he deserves to have an opportunity in the league. It’s been tough to watch, and we’re sure Bulls fans have been going through it. Let us know what you think of Ball’s comments, down below. Lonzo Ball Could Miss Another Season Due To Third Surgery

Lonzo Ball was blossoming into one of the best point guards in the entire NBA. Although this might be a bit much, he was definitely one of the most versatile. He could pass the ball well, he was an elite defender, and his three-point shot was finally getting good. However, at the beginning of 2022, he ran into some issues with his knee. He had surgery for the issue, but shockingly, he never got better. In fact, his knee continued to hurt him and he was unable to do any physical activity.

Subsequently, he continued to consult with doctors. This led him to the decision that he needed to get a second surgery. Following this surgery, things still didn’t get any better for Lonzo. It was a stunning turn of events that confused doctors around the country. According to Tristan Thompson, Ball’s doctors had no idea what was going on. There was even a time when it seemed like Lonzo had an injury that was the first of its kind. Overall, one can imagine just how confusing this has all been for him.

Lonzo Ball Wants To Get Right

Now, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Lonzo Ball is going to get a third surgery on his knee. No, you are not reading that incorrectly. The Bulls’ point guard will now get a third surgery. However, there actually seems to be quite a bit of optimism about this. They think this could bring Ball back into the game. Although, the catch is that he will likely have to miss a whole other year of basketball. It is a brutal situation, but it is a necessary evil when you consider all that Lonzo has been through.

At this point, fans just want Lonzo to be okay. They are hoping that he will be able to come back to the game he loves at some point. It’s hard to watch a player go through something like that, and hopefully, his third surgery is a success. Let us know what you think of this ongoing situation, in the comments below. 230303 FM 560

Benny the Bull, the enduring mascot of the Chicago Bulls, received a pair of brand-new sneakers from Klarna on Friday, March 3, in collaboration with internationally known designer and artist Don C.

The sneakers were created by Don C and Klarna and were inspired by the team’s 2023 City Edition Uniform. They have a rust color that is reminiscent of Chicago’s bridges and hot pink accents that match Klarna’s pink logo.

“For a kid from Chicago that grew up going to Bulls games with my dad, it’s an honor to be able to design a pair of shoes for the iconic Benny the Bull,” shared Don C. “Even beyond that, I am inspired by the opportunity to work with Klarna to connect fans just like me all around the world with this beloved team through fashion.”

Limited-edition Just Don Courtside Hi basketball shoes were released exclusively through the Klarna app and are now available at www.klarna.com/us/justdon for $460.

Visual Portfolio, Posts & Image Gallery for WordPress

Speaking with The Source, Megan Gokey, Head of B2C Marketing & Brand Partnerships for Klarna, details the partnership, the Just Don collection, and more.

Klarna has activated in the United Center, specifically with merch. How has the response from fans been, and are there any additional components on the way that we haven’t seen yet?

Fan response has been overwhelmingly positive. We are always looking for ways to make a fan’s experience smoother and have found that the community has responded to our innovative tactics. Not only are they eager to get the new merch we collaborate on, but they are also leaning into shopping smarter with our Klarna Smoooth Delivery in-seat shopping experience that allows them to purchase Bulls merch, split the cost into four interest-free payments, and get it delivered directly to their seat, so they don’t miss a moment of the game.

In an executive role, how have you felt about the partnership with the Bulls so far?

We’re now in our second year of Klarna’s partnership with the Bulls and we’re really taking the fan experience to the next level. We are continuing to challenge ourselves to deliver something truly extra to the fans in an effort to bring them closer to the game and athletes they love through unique in-arena experiences like designing and unveiling the limited edition Don C Benny the Bull shoes, delivering a new in-seat shopping experience and introducing shoppable content such as the exclusive Just Don sneakers inspired by the design for Benny.

There are so many integral features to the Bulls – including players, personnel, and announcers. What made Benny the Bull the person to wear this sneaker?

Benny is beloved by everyone, from fans to players. He is such an integral part of the Bulls, both on game day and on social media. This is our second consecutive year partnering with a Chicago artist and designer on new shoes for Benny and it’s a tradition we hope will continue as everyone needs to upgrade their kicks after a while!

The Just Don sneaker was a Klarna exclusive – will additional items be solely available on the platform?

We are constantly looking to bring moments and offerings that will create the best and smoothest experience for fans – including new merch – to fans in-arena and outside. Previously, we worked with Zach LaVine to put together collections of his game-day essentials that fans could easily shop on the Klarna app.

There is basketball family synergy here between your team, the Bulls, and Don C. How hard was it to collaborate across all entities for this specific campaign?

Not hard at all. Especially having Don C on board as Creative Strategy and Design Advisor for the Bulls, it made working together pretty seamless throughout the design process.

What is your favorite component of Benny’s sneakers?

I love how the passion for the team and the city of Chicago really shines through in Benny’s sneakers. The rust coloring is reflective of downtown Chicago’s bridges, and of course, I love to see the hot pink of Klarna in there as well.

As we are heading into this stretch run – what do you hope to see from the Chicago Bulls? and do you have any predictions?

Like all Bulls fans in Chicago and around the world, we’re going to support the team every game. Bulls fans are some of the best in all of sports, and we’re thrilled to be a part of helping them cheer on their team.

SOURCE SPORTS: Patrick Beverley Suggests He Asked for a Trade From Lakers

Patrick Beverley Aims to Keep Lakers Out of Playoffs in Forthcoming Battles with Bulls

Patrick Beverley is opening up more about his time with the Lakers. Returning to The Pat Bev Podcast, the point guard revealed that he was the one who wanted out of Los Angeles and not the other way around.

“To some people, it could be that Pat Bev got traded when all reality, I didn’t like what was going on, and let’s find a better home for me. Not so, that he ain’t good enough, let’s get rid of him. All that shit was my decision. So, you gotta think, I’m making the decision, it was my decision, they honored my request, but at the same time, I’m sitting here without a home.”

Patrick Beverley is now a Chicago Bull. After a stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, Pat Bev joins his hometown squad and now has a new goal: “Beat LA.”

The Bulls have two games against the Lakers still coming this season, and they are on back-to-back nights. The Bulls are like the Lakers and attempting to push into the playoffs. For the Lakers, Beverley wants to be the reason they fail.

“Knock them out the playoffs,” Beverley said on the Pat Bev Podcast.

The Bulls visit Staples Center on March 26, and the Lake Show comes to Chicago on March 29.

For a focus on his team, Beverley is looking to amplify the talent on the roster. “You know me, I’m going to be on Zach LaVine ass. I’m going to give him all the energy he needs. Destroy people. Me and DeMar DeRozan, we good.”

Patrick Beverley will make his Bulls debut on Friday when the new-look Brooklyn Nets come to town.
