50 Cent & Hunxho To Replace Chris Brown & Muni Long For Dreamville Fest

Music fans will be able to go to the fifth annual Dreamville Fest in Raleigh, North Carolina in just a few days. J. Cole got this event underway near the precipice of COVID-19 in 2019. Since its inception it has been one of the best festivals for hip-hop fans. This year the two-day event will begin this Saturday, April 6, and go through Sunday, April 7. In 2023 it was a stacked lineup, with Drake and Cole headlining the last day. This time around, 50 Cent and SZA will be the main attractions for Dreamville Fest. Nicki Minaj and Cole will wrap things up the following day.

You may be wondering though, why 50 Cent? Well, the roster had some tweaks made just hours ago. The Dreamville Fest X account sent out a tweet announcing the key changes. “We are excited to share that 50 Cent and Hunxho have been added to the lineup! See you this weekend! 🌻 Due to unforeseen circumstances, Chris Brown and Muni Long are no longer performing at Dreamville Fest.”

50 Cent & Hunxho Will Perform On Separate Days

Reasons for the tweaks are still unknown, but some fans are not too happy about Chris Brown not being able to make it. In fact, with the changes being announced on April Fools’ Day, some think its a ruse. “I hope it’s April fool cos I want to see Chris on that stage,” one person says. Another chimes in, “Would’ve preferred if 50 was replacing Nicki instead lol but it is what it is. (this may or may not be April fools but I’m fine either way so 😂🤷🏾‍♀️)” However, with Dreamville Fest just five days away and with complications like this a normality, this appears to be true.

What are your thoughts on 50 Cent and Hunxho joining Dreamville Fest and replacing Chris Brown and Muni Long? Do you think this is an April Fool’s joke, why or why not? If you do not like 50 and Hunxho making the list of performers, who should they have gotten? Are you going to be attending any of the shows? Frank Ocean & Rosalía Song “Changes” Leaks Online

A collaboration between Frank Ocean and Rosalía leaked online, Monday night. The track, which is reportedly titled, “Changes,” hit the internet with a music video as well. The Frank Ocean Updates fan page on Twitter claims the director of the music video, Hidji Films, is responsible for the leak. He allegedly tried to sell a copy of the project despite already being paid.

It’s unclear whether the song is intended to be part of a larger roll-out for a new album from either artist; however, some fans have noticed that Ocean wears the same slippers in the music video that he wore for Coachella. During his set at the iconic music festival, Ocean teased that a new album is on the way.

“It’s been so long. Everybody talks about how long it’s been. ‘It’s been so long, it’s been so long.’ But I have missed you,” Frank told the audience between songs. “I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album. It’s because — not that there’s not a new album… but there’s not right now. Chill, chill, chill. No, it’s not right now.”

Unfortunately for fans of Frank Ocean, the set didn’t exactly go off without a hitch. He was forced to end the show early due to local curfew restrictions after showing up an hour after his scheduled start time. The event also wasn’t live-streamed and when a fan attempted to edit together videos from the audience to make a concert film, Coachella hit him with a cease-and-desist. After backlash to the performance, Ocean dropped out of the festival’s second weekend citing a leg injury sustained during rehearsals. “It was chaotic,” he said in a statement. “There is some beauty in chaos. It isn’t what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon.”

Lute And BJ Chicago The Kid Address Those Who Let Money Negatively Affect Them In Their ‘Changes’ Video

Lute’s big league start happened back in 2017 with his debut album’s release on Dreamville. West 1996 Pt. 2, which is the sequel to his 2012 mixtape, arrived two years after Lute joined the J. Cole-led squad. Names like EarthGang, Cam O’bi, Elevator Jay, and more appeared on the project which served as a great start to his Dreamville. Lute’s next album would take a while to arrive but it finally dropped towards the end of 2021 with Gold Mouf. Like his debut, Gold Mouf was another strong release from Lute, and six months after its release, he continues to promote the project with a brand new video.

He teams up with BJ The Chicago Kid in a new visual for “Changes.” The song is one of many great tracks from Gold Louf, and in the video, Lute and BJ take a moment to address those who’ve let money negatively affect them. They deliver their thoughts from an underground tunnel and on a nearby street while making sure their message is delivered with precision.

The new video arrives after Lute made a couple of contributions to Dreamville’s D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape where he appears on “Starting 5” and “Like Wine.” As for BJ The Chicago Kid, the video arrives after he dropped two EPs in 2021. The first with 4 Am and the second was Three.

You can watch the video for “Changes” above.

Gold Mouf is out now via Dreamville and Interscope. You can stream it here.
