YSL’s Lil Keed Official Cause Of Death Revealed

The unexpected passing of Lil Keed took Hip Hop by surprise, and now, more information is being shared about his health conditions. Undoubtedly, Hip Hop has been rocked by an increasing number of deaths in recent years. From gun violence to traffic accidents to drug overdoses, we’ve mourned far more artists and influencers than we would like. However, Keed’s death wasn’t like the others, and it was quickly shared that his passing was tied to his health concerns.

New reports state the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has confirmed Keed died of natural causes. His passing was related to eosinophilia, a disease that reportedly fights against white blood cells. This can often indicate a larger issue, including cancer or parasitic infection.

Following news of his death in May 2022, Keed’s mother surfaced to confirm that the YSL rapper succumbed to natural causes at 24. While the autopsy report names eosinophilia, the coroner is still puzzled by Keed’s death. The report stated on May 13, the rapper told loved ones he needed to go to the hospital following days of feeling under the weather.

“He had been sick in bed for 4 days with complaints of stomach and back pains,” the report stated. “His brother noted that the decedent’s eyes were jaundiced and drove him to the hospital in a private vehicle.”

During the drive, Keed was said to have had a seizure “before going unresponsive. Three hours later, he passed away at the hospital.

Gangsta Boo’s Cause Of Death Believed To Be Drug Overdose: Report

Another industry veteran gone too soon. Though she made it to 2023, Three 6 Mafia rapper Gangsta Boo tragically lost her life on the first day of the year. Reports came out on Sunday (January 1) evening, revealing that the 43-year-old is no longer with us. Her cause of death was not known at the time.

AllHipHop reports that the recording artist died after attending a concert in her hometown of Memphis, Tennesee. Her body was found on her front porch around 4 PM local time. Her past struggles with substance abuse are seemingly a part of her demise.

Sources close to Gangsta Boo say they believe she died from a drug overdose. An update from TMZ offers much of the same information. Specifically, they note that “a fentanyl-laced substance is believed to be at play.”

The night before she died, the industry icon was celebrating New Year’s Eve with her brother. He was eventually taken to a hospital himself after overdosing but was able to recover. Later that night, the party went on at GB’s home.

Upon discovering her body, the finding of narcotics means an overdose is presently thought to be her cause of death. Still, the information can’t be confirmed until an autopsy is conducted.

“Victim information will be released once the victim has been identified and NOK [Next of Kin] notifications have been made. This is an ongoing investigation,” officer Theresa Carlson of the Memphis Police Department tells AllHipHop.

However, Gangsta Boo’s identity was previously confirmed by both Fox13 and DJ Paul, another Three 6 Mafia member. The former didn’t write any words in his tribute post – just an older photo of the late creative was enough to get the message across.

In the comment section, artists like Lil Jon, 2 Chainz, Duke Deuce, Ludacris, and Big Boi are in mourning. “Prayers to the whole fam, I’m so sorry for your loss,” one user wrote. “She was such a great and kind soul. GOD’S WARRIOR NOW.”

Check back with HNHH later for any updates on Gangsta Boo’s untimely death. RIP.

Big Scarr’s Cause Of Death Revealed By Family Members

A shocking number of rappers lost their lives in 2022. Just days before we welcome in a new year, another name is topping the list – 22-year-old Big Scarr. On Thursday (December 22), reports of the 1017 artist’s death began circulating online. Since then, law enforcement has given confirmation, and his family has opened up about the late man’s cause of death.

TMZ reportedly spoke with the late recording artist’s uncle, Arthur Woods, who was able to provide more information regarding his nephew’s death. Apparently, the Memphis native – born Alexander Woods – was at his girlfriend’s house yesterday when he overdosed on prescription pills.

It remains unclear where Scarr got the medication. However, his family says that the countless traumatic experiences he went through, such as being shot and surviving a serious car accident, were heavy for him.

While the pain was undeniably brutal, it only inspired Woods to grow and make a name for himself in the industry. His stage moniker came as a result of the vehicle crash, during which he went through the windshield. Afterward, he was left with a massive scar on his body.

During his shooting incident in 2020, the bullet that hit Scarr began travelling up his spine. Following that, he needed surgery to remove his appendix.

Aside from the physical issues, Uncle Arthur says his late nephew was struggling with depression throughout his short life. Particularly, the death of his grandmother was tough for him.

Rather than dwell on the sadness, Woods is choosing to remember Big Scarr as a “nice young man and a beautiful person who was very passionate about music.”

Previously law enforcement sources shared that Scarr’s body shows no signs of foul play. They’re moving forward with a further investigation of his death at this time. Check back in with HNHH later for any updates.

RIP.
