Kid Cudi Posts From His Hospital Bed After Second Surgery On His Broken Foot

Kid Cudi found himself in a scary situation just last month during a performance at Coachella. Overall, fans were excited to see Cudi in action especially since he was called in for a special second weekend performance. However, that excitement eventually became concern as Cudi injured himself. While jumping off the stage to go interact with fans, Cudi landed in an awkward manner and hurt his foot. He was subsequently taken to the hospital where it was revealed that he had a broken foot.

Cudi eventually had surgery on this foot and since that time, he has been looking to recover as quickly as possible in time for his tour. Well as it turns out, his foot needed a bit more work done on it for such a recovery to take place. While taking to Instagram this week, Cudi revealed that he went through a second surgery on his foot. In the post below, you can see Cudi laid up in his hospital bed, where he appeared to be in good spirits.

Kid Cudi On The Mend

“Just finished my 2nd surgery,” Cudi wrote. “It was a success. Feelin goood man!! Send me all ur love, I could really use it.” For now, it remains to be seen when Cudi will be able to perform at 100 percent again. If anything, this is all a cautionary tale that performing is no joke. It takes a serious toll on your body, and you need to take care of yourself, otherwise things like this can happen to you. We wish Cudi a quick recovery moving forward.

Last month, Kid Cudi put on an unforgettable show at Coachella, but a miscalculated stage jump cost him a summer’s worth of fun. He landed in an awkward position when he leaped from the stage, immediately falling to the ground and writhing in pain. Medical staff took him away, and his set was cut short, leaving festivalgoers disappointed and confused.

He then revealed that he had broken his foot as a result of the mishap, and had to undergo surgery. While this was tragic enough, he later announced that due to his injury, he had to cancel his summer tour. For obvious reasons, the news was a major letdown for both him and his fans. Fortunately, he promises to get back on the road once he’s fully recovered and ready to rage.

Kid Cudi’s Surgery Was A Success

That may not be for another couple of months, but yesterday, the hitmaker took to Instagram to give fans an exciting update on his recovery. He showed off his brand-new custom boot, designed to isolate his broken foot while it heels. Along with a shot of him modeling it, he unveiled a couple of X-rays of his foot, and the 10 screws it took to set it back in place. “Got my boot! The road to recovery has begun. Heres some xrays after the surgery, I wanted yall to see how real this sh*t was. Im a cyborg now [laughing emoji],” he captioned the photos.

While supporters are still sad they can’t catch him live this summer, they’re glad that his surgery went well, and are leaving words of support in his comments section. Kid Cudi Cancels His Summer Tour After Breaking His Foot

Weekend 2 of Coachella wrapped up a few days ago marking the end of one of the biggest music festivals around and the beginning of festival season in the US. The event was headlined by Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and Tyler, The Creator. Each of them delivered massive performances on both weekends. There was talent littered throughout the lineup from top to bottom. That included a number of standout rap moments from the likes of Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, and more.

Each weekend also features special surprise performers who were only announced at the last minute. Weekend one featured indie band Vampire Weekend who didn’t disappoint. They made for one of the festival’s oddest moments bringing Paris Hilton on stage with them. For weekend two, Kid Cudi was the special guest, though now he probably wishes he hadn’t joined the fest last minute. At the end of a set that delighted fans, Cudi jumped off the stage. That’s where the problems began as the jump actually resulted in the rapper and singer breaking his foot. He took to social media later in the day to reveal to fans what had happened. Kid Cudi Pulls The Plug On Tour

In a tweet made earlier today, Cudi shares some bad news with fans. Firstly, he revealed specifically that he broke his calcaneus and that it will require surgery. Then he announced that due to the long recovery period from surgery he had no choice but to cancel his previously announced world tour later this year. He apologizes to fans and promises everyone will get a full refund. He also assures them that once he’s healed he will be back and better than ever ready to play shows again.

Kid Cudi Updates Fans After Breaking His Foot At Coachella: Watch

Kid Cudi had a great time at Coachella this Sunday (April 21)… for a little bit, at least. Unfortunately, his set was cut short after he fell while performing and broke something in his heel, which a lot of fans were obviously very concerned with. Moreover, some expressed disappointment in the Cleveland creative for not sticking around or for falling in the first place, but the general sentiment is that these things can happen to anyone. Thus, folks sent him their best wishes, and his die-hards waited patiently for an update. The 40-year-old then took to social media with an update for fans with the caption “Hello there.”

“Hey, guys… Yeah, s**t got real yesterday,” Kid Cudi began his message below, indicating that he’s in good spirits and still recovering. “This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off stage like he’s 26. Like he used to do back in the day. I learned a valuable lesson: No more prancing around, jumping off stages.” We’re sure that he will reflect a lot on this time of his life in his upcoming memoir.

Then, Kid Cudi expressed hope that he will fully recover by the time his INSANO tour kicks off in late June of this year. “I don’t want to let you guys down,” he shared “That’s what we’re aiming for. Not canceling anything just yet. Just gonna wait and see how things go, but I’m okay. A little sore. Yesterday, a lot of pain, but I’m doing better now. I have a little temporary cast on now, and I gotta go get a real cast in a little bit. Apparently, I broke something in my heel.

Kid Cudi Breaks His Foot After Jumping Off Coachella Stage: Watch

Kid Cudi is an artist who is known for having some energetic concerts. After all, he is Mr. Rager, the man who influences artists like Travis Scott. However, there is no doubt that Cudi is getting a bit older, which means he isn’t as spry as he used to be. Unfortunately, this can sometimes result in some bad accidents. For instance, Cudi was at Coachella this past weekend, where he decided to try and jump off of the stage. As you can see in the video down below, this did not work out for the artist, as he injured himself in brutal fashion.
