Micah Parsons Apologizes For Premature Brittney Griner Take

Micah Parsons has proven himself to be one of the best players in the NFL this year. He is responsible for making the Cowboys’ defense so potent. Furthermore, he is still young which means his prime is going to be truly special to watch.

Micah Parsons Speaks

This morning, Parsons was paying attention to the Brittney Griner news, just like many of us out there. Griner was released in a prisoner swap for Viktor Bout. Unfortunately, Marine Paul Whelan remains detained. Consequently, this led to a strong reaction from Parsons, who said “Wait nah!! We left a marine?!! Hell nah.”

Additionally, Parsons offered a clarification on his post. “My last tweet was no shot at Brittney Griner,” Parsons wrote. “I’m super happy she’s back home as she should be. I just have family who have served and it’s crazy to me the President wouldn’t bring him home too. I’m the furthest thing from a trump supporter but I’m not a fan of Biden either.”

Parsons Apologizes

Eventually, someone close to Parsons educated him on the matter. They revealed how Whelan is being treated as a spy and that Russia was refusing to release him. Subsequently, this led to an apology from Parsons, who changed his position on Twitter.

“Just spoke to some people that I respect and trust,” Parsons wrote. “I should have been more educated on the topic and not tweeted out of emotion for my family and other who have served. For that I apologize. Also if what I’m told about the attempts to bring Ret Marine Paul Whelan home are true then the best outcome was accomplished.

“I pray Mr. Whelan comes home but am extremely happy for Brittney and her family. I am not too prideful to admit when I’ve made a mistake.”

It takes a big person to admit when they are wrong, and Parsons showed that. Needless to say, the Cowboys have a very special player on their roster.

Stephen A. Smith Reacts To Brittney Griner’s Release

Stephen A. Smith is one of the most prominent figures on sports talk television. With that being said, it only makes sense that he would have an opinion on Brittney Griner. The WNBA star had been incarcerated in Russia, however, she was released today in a massive prisoner swap.

Overall, this is great news for her and her family. They have been trying to bring her home for months, and there is no doubt that she is excited. WNBA fans feel vindicated right now, especially since they put so much effort into raising awareness of the situation.

Stephen A. Speaks

Today, Stephen A. got to speak about the news on First Take. As you can imagine, the talk show host was incredibly excited. He delivered some praise for the Biden administration, while also wishing Griner well. Additionally, he touched on service member Paul Whelan, who is till being detained.

“Very very happy for Brittney Griner and her wife Cherelle,” Smith said. “Everybody associated with basketball knows how much Brittney Griner has meant to the game. As an American citizen, we are happy to see her home although we would be remiss to neglect the importance of Paul Whelan coming home.”

Whelan has been detained in Russia for four years, and according to President Biden, Russia will not release him. They wanted Whelan and Griner home in exchange for Viktor Bout, however, Whelan is being treated like a spy. Having said that, the Biden admin still has a lot of work to do.

With Griner coming home, let us know what you think of the situation, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

Brittney Griner Release Leads To Heartwarming Reactions

Brittney Griner’s stay in a Russian prison has been incredibly difficult. For those who haven’t been keeping track, Griner had been detained since February. This was the result of Griner carrying weed cartridges in her carry-on while trying to leave the country.

Consequently, Griner was hit with a nine-year prison sentence. Additionally, she was recently sent to a labor camp where the conditions are horrid. During this time, there was a lot of pessimism in terms of whether or not the United States would bring her home.

After 294 days in Russian captivity, @POTUS negotiated a “one-for-one” prisoner swap. Thank you to President Biden, and to all those who worked so hard to secure her freedom.”

Of course, the happiest person right now is Griner’s wife Cherelle. In a news conference with President Joe Biden, Cherelle said, “Today is just a happy day for me and my family.” Overall, you can’t help but be excited for the Griner family after this long 10-month nightmare.

Griner should be returning to the United States in just a few hours. Until then, stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates on this developing story.

Brittney Griner Freed Thanks To Prisoner Swap, Joe Biden Reacts

Brittney Griner was sentenced to nine years in a Russian prison just a few months ago. It was a brutal ruling after the WNBA star was caught with weed cartridges at a Russian airport. Subsequently, she was hit with trafficking and possession charges.

Her time in prison has not been easy. In fact, Griner was sent to a labor camp just last month. Additionally, these labor camps are extremely brutal as prisoners are forced to work upwards of 16 hours per day. It is truly brutal stuff and many were worried for Griner’s safety.

Brittney Griner Is Coming Home

Today, it was revealed that the United States was finally able to have a breakthrough with Russia. They had been negotiating a prisoner swap for a while, and today, it finally happened. Griner will now get to come home, while the United States is giving arms dealer Viktor Bout back to Russia.

Overall, this is a huge win for the WNBA star who was beginning to lose hope in the government’s efforts. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were even able to speak with Griner as she got on a plane back home. “Moments ago I spoke to Brittney Griner. She’s safe. She is on a plane. She is on her way home,” the President wrote on Twitter.

Consequently, many are excited about this news. Griner’s story is one that people have followed for quite a while now. Although she has suffered trauma during her prison experience, there is no doubt that she is excited to be on her way home. Overall, this is a great day for the WNBA superstar.

Hopefully, Griner’s trip back home goes off without a hitch. Her prison sentence was unjust, and now, she will finally get to be with her family again.

Brittney Griner’s College Coach Refuses To Give Her Opinion On Griner’s Imprisonment

Brittney Griner is currently serving a nine-year prison sentence in Russia after being convicted of drug possession and smuggling. In the eyes of many, this sentence is a massive injustice that needs to be fixed immediately. The United States is looking into a prisoner swap, but for now, nothing is set in stone.

Most of Griner’s former teammates have spoken about this injustice, except for her former Baylor Coach Kim Mulkey. Today, Mulkey was asked directly about Griner’s imprisonment, to which she said that she would not be commenting on the story, at all.

This was a pitiful response when you consider how Griner helped Mulkey win a National Championship while also bringing her to two final fours. Her career at Baylor was phenomenal, and Mulkey owes much of her success to the WNBA champion. Queen Ego, a former Baylor player, commented on Mulkey’s remarks, noting that it is pretty despicable.

“A player that built Baylor, 2 national titles, & a 40-0 record,” Egbo wrote. “Yet her former coach refuses to say anything or simply just show any kind of support. Keep that in mind when you’re choosing schools.”

Interestingly enough, the current coach for Baylor Nicki Colleen had a much better answer when asked about Griner. As you can see, Colleen noted that Griner means a lot to the Baylor program and that she sees Griner as a human first. Colleen also believes 10 years is way too long for a simple mistake of this magnitude.

“No one’s saying she didn’t make a mistake. None of us are perfect,” Colleen said. “But I guess I would wanna know if I did something and was stuck in a foreign country, what it was, what it wasn’t. I think we all know that 10 years is a long time. I see her as a mother, as a sister, as a spouse, as a daughter, as an unbelievable ambassador for the game of basketball.”

Griner’s Phoenix Mercury were instrumental in the efforts to get her home and we’re sure they will continue that fight.

6ix9ine Says He Was Drunk When He Dissed Brittney Griner But Still Stands On It

Blame it on the alcohol.

Just a few days ago, New York rapper 6ix9ine failed to heed previous warning and went through with his trip to Russia, where he performed in front of an adoring crowd – not before taking a moment to diss currently captive WNBA athlete Brittney Griner for the cameras, though.

“F*ck Brittney Griner,” the “GOOBA” artist said in a video shared earlier this weekend, leaning in close to whisper the hateful comment, which he giggled at immediately after delivering.

Those aren’t the only antics 6ix9ine got wrapped up in during his trip overseas. In one video, he can be seen standing shirtless on stage, a bottle of what looks to be vodka in his hands. While speaking to the crowd, he tells them that if anything unfortunate were to happen to him, he would rather be buried in Russia than sent back to America.

Cameras also caught the recording artist leaving the venue, showing love to patrons waiting outside as he walked out – many of whom were clearly star-struck over seeing Tekashi up close and in person.

As for the trash talk, 6ix9ine aimed at Griner earlier, he’s since addressed it and claimed that he was under the influence at the time, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still stand by what he said.

“I’m not gonna lie I was drunk,” the 26-year-old shared on Instagram. “But I stand on that. I’m in Russia while y’all are scared to come here. Argue with yourself, [suck my d*ck], I’m like that.”

He then reminded readers, “Just remember I’m still alive while your favourite rapper is dead. I’ll be mad too.”

Do you think 6ix9ine’s diss took things too far? Sound off in the comments below, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

6ix9ine Travels to Russia, says “F*** Brittney Griner”

King Von Has a Strong Opinion of Women Who Listen to Tekashi 6ix9ine

While most Americans (and other citizens of the world) have heeded their government’s advice and avoided travel to Russia, rapper 6ix9ine has done the opposite, causing quite the controversy not just with his actions, but his words as well.

The “Gummo” artist shared a video of himself in a Moscow city square clad in all black and oversized sunglasses, saying “Yo yo, you know we out here….sh** is crazy,” while looking around the square. He then leans into the camera and says “F*** Brittney Griner” before the cameraman says “I got the t-shirt for you bud” before the video cuts off.

Griner was arrested and detained in Russia for over six months after Russian officials found hashish oil in her luggage at an airport. She was sentenced to nine years in prison on drug charges. Many celebrities, politicians, and citizens have been calling for her release. While other celebrities such as Dennis Rodman have offered to go to Russia to try to negotiate on her behalf, ultimately they were advised not to by government officials due to Russia’s politically volatile situation.

6ix9ine, who has faced his own legal troubles in the US, has apparently brought his bad boy ways with him across the ocean. He also recently started a fight with a DJ at Soho Garden in Dubai because the DJ was reportedly not playing his music.
