Jake Paul is easily one of the biggest boxers in the world right now. Sure, there are those who absolutely hate that. However, there is no denying what he has accomplished in the fight game. At this point, he is someone that fans want to see on a consistent basis. He knows how to put on a show, and with only one loss on his resume, there is this sense that he can do big things. Now, however, he is focusing on fighting real boxers. On December 15th, Paul will get to fight Andre August.

August is a 35-year-old fighter who has a solid resume on his hands. However, as some fans have noted, the fight is in a smaller venue than Paul is used to. Based on his opponent, there is no doubt that the draw is much smaller. While speaking with TMZ Sports, Paul noted that this is all part of the plan. Essentially, he just wants to get some experience against real boxers. That is his goal in this match, and he doesn’t care about making money. If he breaks even, that will be considered a success.

Jake Paul Explains

“This is probably just a break-even fight for me,” Paul said. “I probably won’t even make money on it. Who knows what the outcome is. It’s $200,000 for a private jet to fly around just to get me there and back.” This is an interesting strategy for Paul and it is most certainly a risk. If he loses, he could very well end up having to rely solely on big celebrity fights. So far, his only fight against a true boxer was against Tommy Fury, and that did not end well. Only time will tell whether or not Andre is more of a beatable figure.

Jake Paul Reveals Opponent For December Boxing Match

Jake Paul will fight Houston-based professional boxer Andre August on December 15 in Orlando. The news comes just about a week after Paul’s team revealed that their initial opponent had failed to secure a visa for the United States. August is 35 years old and has a 10-1-1 career record. That makes him the most experienced fighter Paul has faced in his career so far. Furthermore, it marks a shift in Paul’s approach to boxing. It’s hard to take the decision as anything other than Paul addressing the primary criticism against him – that he takes name value over boxing reputation when it comes to opponents.

“I’m a professional boxer and I want to be world champion, so I need to pursue the path towards greatness against people who have been boxing their whole life. So far, my entire boxing career has been on pay-per-view, but now it’s about more than business. Now I want to build my experience in the ring against seasoned fighters. I’m coming to prove my greatness on Friday, December 15th live on DAZN for the world to see,” Paul said in a statement.

August Poses Real Challenge For Paul

While this fight will not have the glamor of Paul’s previous fights, August will serve as a very real test of Paul’s boxing ability. “I don’t talk very much. I’m all about that action! Over the weekend, Cam and Ma$e went to the Jermell Charlo and Canelo Alvarez fight. This match was certainly a risk for Charlo seeing as though he had to go up a few weight classes. Unfortunately, he was not good in the fight with Alvarez dominating throughout. Consequently, Canelo won the match, and now, Charlo has to reconvene and figure out what to do next. However, in Cam’ron’s eyes, Charlo’s performance was a joke and it ultimately turned he and Ma$e’s night out into a colossal waste of time.

Cam’ron Is Not Impressed

Cam’ron felt like Charlo had poor conditioning and poor form, and overall, he did not seem ready to fight. Ma$e felt the exact same way, although Cam’ron did seem to be especially offended by Charlo and his performance. It is almost as if the legendary New York artist felt like it was a personal slight.

Overall, Canelo is an amazing fighter, so it should come as absolutely no surprise that things went down this way. Agdal is currently in the midst of suing Danis. Moreover, she was granted a restraining order against the fighter. Since being served his papers, Danis has been complaining quite a bit about his circumstances. It would appear as though he believes these tactics aren’t fair. Another day, another video of Charleston White beefing with some in public. While he wasn’t macing or stabbing anyone this time, the self-proclaimed Holocaust denier was still looking to start shit. The video in question appears to come from a boxing event that White was attending. “Shut your bitch ass up, n*gga,” White is seen yelling at an unknown target in the crowd. “Shut your bitch ass up,” he repeats. Someone in the arena can be heard yelling back at White, who responds, “Shut up n*gga, I don’t even fucking know you.” The video has since been removed from TikTok.

This is tame in comparison to White’s other recent public outings. However, it just goes to show that the man can’t go anywhere without starting something with someone. The reposted clip from DJ Akademiks likens White to 2Pac which, okay. Weird comparison and kind of an insult to Pac but whatever. Nothing appears to have come of the verbal altercation. Charleston White Goes Viral With Brittany Renner

Of course, jawing at someone at a boxing event isn’t the only reason people are talking about Charleston White. Earlier this week, footage of influencer Brittany Renner giving White a lap dance went viral on social media. The viral moment occurred during a podcast appearance on White’s show. Things came to an abrupt end when Renner poured water of the both of them and a producer had to step in to avoid the equipment getting damaged.

According to Ariel Helwani on Twitter, there is a scheduled date for the anticipated fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. The fight, which is going to take place “under the official rules of professional boxing, with 3 judges ringside adopting the 10-point must system.” It will be in a regulation boxing ring with standard boxing rules implemented. They will go head-to-head in Saudi Arabia on October 28th, 2023.

This fight has been a long time coming. Tyson Fury is looking for a new challenge after running the boxing gamut. He has wanted to fight people outside of the boxing sphere because there’s honestly nobody else to fight. For Francis Ngannou, he last fought as part of the UFC, becoming the heavyweight champion and defending his title before breaking his leg. After a contract dispute between him and UFC President Dana White, Ngannou decided to remove himself from the league entirely.

Why Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou Could Be A Real Interesting Match

Francis Ngannou is now tied to the Professional Fighters League. He will be part of the PFL’s Super Fight Division next year. For now, he can focus entirely on this upcoming fight with Tyson Fury. The Gypsy King is still basking in the glory of being “the best boxer alive.” Both are expected to meet in the middle of the ring and go for an electrifying knockout of the other. The fight will no doubt be available via pay-per-view.

Per Helwani, “An agreement has been reached with Queensberry, Top Rank, and Ngannou’s promotional banner, GIMIK Fight Promotions, to partner with Riyadh Season to host the event.” That means Fury and Ngannou will get plenty of the proceeds via their promotional agencies. And while this fight will be an intriguing matchup, both fighters have called out a certain someone as a potential challenger. Jon “Bones” Jones, who just completed his triumphant comeback to the UFC, is the top contender. Fury says the UFC has sent Jones a “hybrid fight” offer for them to go against each other. And Ngannou has also said he wants a fight with “Bones.” Until Jon Jones agrees to either of them, at least we have Fury-Ngannou to look forward to.
