The Boston Celtics are the NBA Champions of 2024. It’s a truth that lots of fans are reluctant to embrace. Most Celtics haters have resorted to mocking Jayson Tatum, and his tendency to copy the iconic quotes of his predecessors. The thing that shocked everybody, though, hater or not, were the photos of Tatum’s girlfriend, Ella Mai. The two were seen celebrating the title together, and it looked as though the R&B singer was pregnant with Tatum’s child. Social media didn’t know to react.
Ella Mai was seen in various photos and videos alongside her boyfriend, and it does appear as though she’s expecting. The R&B singer has not confirmed or denied these rumors, nor has Tatum. The two celebrities have been dating since 2019, but the lack of information about their personal lives should come as no surprise.
Neither party has confirmed that they’re in a relationship, despite the fact that they’ve been at each other’s side for five years. Ella Mai was asked point blank whether she was with Tatum during a 2022 appearance on The Breakfast Club. She refused to clarify. “I’m a basketball fan definitely,” she told the hosts. “But you know I’m not one to talk about my dating life.”
The reaction to Mai’s alleged pregnancy was split between surprise and happiness. Twitter users were happy for the singer, even if they were irate over Tatum being an NBA champion. There was also plenty of “Boo’d Up” jokes, as one would expect from any social media interaction involving the “Boo’d Up” singer.
Ella Mai’s Alleged Pregnancy With Tatum Shocked Fans
Some users even praised Ella Mai for keeping her personal life private. “The way Ella Mai be out the way and to herself,” one user noted. “Is why I’m glad to see folks like her and other artists/celebrities that keep they stuff private getting to peacefully enjoy their relationship and making families.”

While Mai nor Tatum have confirmed such rumors, some fans believe that this is a very obvious confirmation that they are about to have a child.
For now, fans should probably just let Ella Mai and Jayson Tatum be the ones to make any such announcements. Besides, today is not the day to be concerned with pregnancy rumors. Last night, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks to secure their 18th NBA title. Tatum and Brown are one of the NBA’s best duos, and on Monday, they showed the world what they are capable of. In fact, this could very well be the making of a dynasty.
Unfortunately, in the midst of his great moment, Jayson Tatum was being clowned by fans online. As we reported, he was first made fun of for his attempt at recreating the Kobe Bryant Larry O’Brien photo. However, he is now catching more heat as he copied two other legends. Below, you can see that he tried to recreate the infamous Kevin Garnett “anything is possible” interview from the 2008 Celtics run. Furthermore, he then copied Kanye West’s Grammy speech in which he said: “I guess we’ll never know.”
Responding to the Kanye clip, one person wrote “Bro got script ready with quotes from all time greats.” Meanwhile, other fans continued to clown on Tatum for seemingly having all of his catchphrases prepared. “Bro this dude thinks he’s on a Disney show,” one commenter said. “I really got nothing against Tatum but everything he does feels forced and corny,” wrote another. Angel Reese received a flagrant foul after smacking Caitlin Clark to the ground as she drove to the rim on Sunday afternoon during the Chicago Sky’s game against the Indiana Fever. Despite it appearing to be a hard hit, Reese defended the move as a “basketball play” while speaking with reporters afterward. The Fever ended up taking the game 91-83.
“A basketball play. It was a basketball play,” Reese said. “I can’t control the refs. They affected the game obviously a lot tonight.” From there, she suggested that some players get a “special whistle.” “I think we went up really strong a lot of times, and we didn’t get a lot of calls,” Reese further argued. “Going back and looking at the film, I’ve seen a lot of calls that weren’t made. I guess some people got a special whistle. But just being able to play hard as best as we can.”
Fever coach Christie Sides thought the call was the correct one. “The right call was made in that moment,” Sides said. “Just make the right call in those moments, and we can move forward. But when we don’t make the right call in those moments, that’s when there’s a problem, and they made the right call tonight.” She had previously complained about the referees in prior games not calling hard fouls on Clark as flagrant. One such instance occurred the last time the Sky took on the Fever when Chennedy Carter fouled Clark.

Late NBA player Darius Morris died of coronary heart disease, with drug and alcohol use playing a role, the Los Angeles County medical examiner confirmed to ABC 7 and TMZ Sports on Saturday. “Contributing conditions” in the accidental death included ethanol, cocaine, and hydrocodone. The 33-year-old passed away unexpectedly back on May 4, shocking the basketball world.
At the time, his family confirmed his passing in a statement to TMZ while asking for privacy. “With great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly beloved son, Darius Aaron Morris,” the statement read. “During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”
Morris first made a public name for himself as a player for the University of Michigan, where he helped his team compete in the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament. Morris began his professional career with the Los Angeles Lakers, who originally drafted him back in 2011. After spending multiple seasons with the organization, he joined up with four other teams prior to the end of his playing career. Over the course of his time in the NBA, he averaged 3.3 points per game in addition to 1.4 assists and 1 rebound. He most recently played professionally in China and France during the 2019-20 season.
In addition to being a basketball star, Morris was also a cousin of The Game, who mourned his passing on Instagram, last month. “My family took a blow with this one. The basketball world is mourning the passing of NBA icon Jerry West at the age of 86. He was a legend both as a player and as an executive, renowned for his exceptional talent and unwavering dedication. His impact on the NBA is unmatched, and his legacy will live on forever. Of course, the NBA immortalized his accomplishments through the silhouette of the iconic NBA logo. To honor this influential figure, we celebrate his greatest accomplishments, which have inspired generations of players and fans.
Conquering The NBA Finals & Winning His First Championship
After enduring countless defeats in previous NBA Finals appearances, West’s perseverance was finally rewarded in 1972. He led the Los Angeles Lakers to their first championship in his illustrious career. That season, the Lakers showcased their dominance, setting a remarkable 33-game winning streak, a record that still stands today. Despite playing through the pain of a hamstring injury, West’s determination and clutch performances propelled the team to victory against the New York Knicks in the Finals. He averaged 19.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game, according to StatMuse.
Cementing His Legacy As “Mr. Clutch”
West earned the moniker “Mr. Clutch” for his uncanny ability to rise to the occasion and deliver in the most crucial moments. Throughout his 14-season career with the Lakers, West earned numerous accolades. This includes 14 All-Star selections, 10 All-NBA First Team honors, and five All-Defensive First Team selections. His scoring prowess was unmatched. West averaged 27.0 points per game, highlighted by his career-high 40.6 points per game in the 1965 playoffs and his scoring title in 1970 (31.2), per Basketball Reference.
Jerry West’s name is in the NBA record books for his extraordinary achievements on the court. Notably, he remains the only player in league history to be named Finals MVP (1969) despite being on the losing team. This demonstrated his ability to excel under pressure. Throughout his career, West scored 40 or more points in 10 NBA Finals games — a feat that legends like LeBron James and Michael Jordan never reached. His career-high of 63 points, achieved against the New York Knicks on January 17, 1962, showcased his scoring prowess, according to Basketball Reference.
Masterminding The Acquisition Of Kobe Bryant
West’s transition from player to executive was marked by a series of brilliant moves that reshaped the Lakers’ future. However, none was more significant than acquiring Kobe Bryant. In 1996, West orchestrated a draft-day trade with the Charlotte Hornets. He sent veteran center Vlade Divac in exchange for the No. 13 overall pick, which the Hornets used to select Bryant. This bold move was initially met with skepticism, but West’s vision and belief in the young star proved prophetic. Bryant went on to become one of the greatest players in NBA history.
West’s tenure as an executive for the Lakers included another monumental decision: signing Shaquille O’Neal in 1996. West recognized that pairing a dominant big man like O’Neal with the budding talent of Kobe Bryant would create a formidable duo. Moreover, they would be capable of leading the Lakers to multiple championships. O’Neal’s impact was immediate and powerful. He won three consecutive Finals MVP awards from 2000 to 2002, solidifying the Lakers’ status as the team of the early 2000s.
Establishing The “Showtime” Era With Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
West’s executive brilliance was further showcased in the late 1970s and 1980s, playing a crucial role in creating the “Showtime” era of the Lakers. Working as a scout, West was instrumental in drafting Magic Johnson as the No. 1 overall pick in the 1979 NBA Draft. He recognized Johnson’s unique blend of size, skill, and charisma. Pairing Magic with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, whom the Lakers had acquired in 1975, West laid the foundation for one of the most exciting and successful periods in NBA history. The Lakers went on to win five championships in the 1980s.
Acting as an Advisor With The Dynasty Golden State Warriors
Jerry West’s basketball insight continued to influence the NBA well into the 2010s through his advisory role with the Golden State Warriors. Joining the franchise in 2011, West subsequently provided critical guidance and knowledge. It helped transform the Warriors into a modern dynasty. His influence was pivotal in key decisions, such as drafting Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. He was also integral in the strategic hiring of head coach Steve Kerr in 2014. Moreover, under West’s advisement, the Warriors adopted an innovative style of play centered around three-point shooting, ball movement, and defensive versatility. This led to four NBA Championships in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022.
In tribute to Jerry West, we celebrate a life dedicated to basketball. His impact transcended the court, inspiring generations of players and shaping the NBA landscape. West’s tireless determination, clutch performances, and visionary leadership have left an indelible mark on the sport. His legacy will continue to inspire those who aspire to greatness.
Delonte West was arrested last week and it was an event that could have proven to be life-threatening. He was booked for violating conditions of release and resisting arrest, however, he ended up collapsing while running from police. Overall, it was a severe issue for the former NBA star as he had to be taken to the hospital and administered Narcan. Things were looking dire at the time, and he almost died. It was sad news, especially knowing the various issues West has had in the past.
Subsequently, more news is coming out about West today. As you can see in the clip below, West could be seen on camera roaming around a parking lot in Virginia. Throughout the clip, he seems to be strung out on some sort of drug. It’s a heartbreaking clip to watch as West has been dealing with drug and mental health issues for many years. Although he went to rehab a few years ago at the behest of Mark Cuban, he has been unable to maintain sobriety.
Many in West’s life have attempted to get him help, although he isn’t easy to contact. Moreover, the person needs to accept the help, in the first place. Being an addict is a disease and a lifelong battle. Having said that, it is important to give West grace and empathy during this difficult time. We also hope people stop filming him, moving forward. The ballplayer deserves more dignity than that.
Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section down below. We hope that West is able to get the help he needs. It seems as though the system has let him down, and we can only hope that someday he is able to find peace. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sports world. Overall, Bronny James had a difficult season at USC. Of course, much of this stemmed from the cardiac arrest he suffered in training camp. Although he returned to the team throughout the season, he was simply not the same player. His statistics suffered and analysts agreed he was not being utilized properly. However, Bronny declared for the NBA Draft anyway which goes down on June 26-27. Based on projections, he will likely be taking in the second round, on Day Two.
There are two teams, in particular, that Bronny has agreed to workout with. Those two teams are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns. Fans know LeBron wants to play with son, so the Lakers aren’t surprising. Meanwhile, the Suns have a team with lots of talent, albeit little depth, and the concept of luring LeBron there is certainly unique. That said, in the clip below, you can see that Bronny already had his workout with the Lakers.
The Lakers hold the 55th pick in the draft, and many believe that is where he will be taken. Whether or not he actually plays any games, remains to be seen. Moreover, there is a sense he could be sent to the G League to develop. He has plenty of potential, but he is undersized at 6’1 and that has led to some debates about his NBA viability. Only time will tell whether or not he can swing it once he gets to the pros.
Let us know where you think Bronny James should go, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that he deserves to be drafted into the NBA? Do you believe the Lakers will use the 55th pick in the draft on Bronny, or will someone else take him first? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world. We will always keep you informed on all of your favorite athletes.
