Tems Denies Drake Calling Her Over “Wait For U” Sample, Calls ATL Jacob’s Story “A BIG LIE”

During an upcoming appearance on The Baller Alert Show, ATL Jacob reflected on Future’s track “WAIT FOR U” with Tems and Drake, which he produced. According to him, it wasn’t easy to get Tems to clear the sample of her song “High.” He claimed that Drake had to call the Nigerian performer directly to ask, at which point she approved it. He says that still, however, he feels like she was “irritated” with the track.

“At this time, Future’s vocals on it, he’s on both verses,” he explained. “We’re trying to get it cleared [and] Tems wouldn’t clear the song. They just completely said no. [So] Future pulled in his relationship with Drake and he was like, ‘Can you get the song cleared?’”

Tems Claims She Didn’t Know Drake Was On The Song

When asked whether or not he’s spoken with Tems since, ATL Jacob shared that he chatted with her at the Grammys. “I talked to her at the Grammys. Like personally, I feel like she was a little irritated with the ‘Wait For U’ song,” he described. “I told her like, ‘You ain’t got to thank me, nothing…’ I just want to work.” Tems seems to have an entirely different account of what happened with the track, however. She recently commented on a TikTok of ATL Jacob’s claims, arguing that they couldn’t be further from the truth. According to her, Drake never called her directly, as she wasn’t even aware he was going to be on the song.

“This is a BIG LIE. I didn’t even know Drake was on the song,” she wrote, also adding a series of laughing emojis. King Harris’ New Teeth Get Roasted By T.I.

T.I. couldn’t help but clown his son, King Harris, over the latter’s new teeth. During an appearance on The Baller Alert Show, King was asked about his newly-whitened teeth. However, before he could respond, T.I. jumped in with some roasts. “Well, the tooth of the matter is…” his father said, leading to several minutes of jokes from everyone involved. Highlights included “Toothpac Shakur” and “Queen Lateethfah”. Despite this, King took it all as good fun and quickly fired off some shots of his own at the show hosts.

Of course, this is not the first time King has been razzed for getting some teeth work done. Earlier this year, social media had a field day razzing him for his new veneers. However, in that instance, his family was actually on his side. Notably, his parents said they were happy for him and excited that he had undergone the procedure.

T.I. And King Promote Upcoming Movie

Meanwhile, some mouth-based roasting is not the only thing the father-son duo have been up to. The aforementioned interview was in service of promoting T.I.’s upcoming directorial debut, Da’Partments. First announced in 2021, the film reached a distribution agreement with the freemium streaming site Tubi earlier this year. T.I. has described the show as an “unapologetic hood comedy” and hinted that his 18-year-old son King will have a role in the show. Early promotional materials also highlighted several other individuals appearing in the show. Of note are comedians Henry Welch, Arnesto Ross, and Throwed Off Juan. However, as noted by T.I., the show will also feature a number of up-and-coming, or at least under-the-radar, actors and performers from the Atlanta area.

In subsequent interviews, T.I. has said that the film explores “everyday struggles of the underprivileged and the enchantment hidden within an apartment complex.” While the film does not yet have a release date, the rapper will reportedly be talking more about it at the upcoming ComplexCon. It’s now been a year and a half since the social media personality was seen on Sean Combs’ yacht. Cameras caught them sharing a smooch while relaxing on the boat in Italy. Chavis certainly had her cheeks on display both in and out of the water while rocking a tiny bikini. Recently, Bow Wow appeared on The Baller Alert Show, at which time he addressed the situation. He confirmed having had conversations with both the mother of two and the “I’ll Be Missing You” hitmaker after their kiss to express his hurt feelings.

Bow Wow Addresses Diddy and Joie Chavis’ Romance

“She knew better,” the Like Mike actor said of Chavis’ decision to link up with Diddy. “Me and her, we had our discussion about it, trust me.” While he was bothered by seeing his baby mama boating with the producer, Combs tapping her to appear alongside him in a music video was apparently less of a stressor for Bow Wow. “Me and dude, we definitely had our rep, but I’ll keep that between us. We handled it the way we was supposed to handle it.”

According to the 36-year-old, “There’s a conduct and code men go by and everyone knows certain things are off limits.
