Fans Accuse Aoki Simmons Of Snubbing Her Dad Russell In Graduation Post

Last week Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons’ youngest daughter broke records as one of the youngest Harvard University graduates. This week fans noticed that her famous father did not attend Aoki’s or Ming’s graduations in New York this month. Social media users also noticed Russell no longer follows Aoki on Instagram.

In a post shared on Instagram Aoki thanks and mentions everyone that contributed to her success in school except Russell..

Aoki writes:

20 years old and we out!✌🏽*inhale* Congratulations to my Mom, my Grandma, my great grandma, my sister (a fellow baddie with a BRAIN nobody how lowkey she is about it!) to the international network of aunties, sisters, and friends, the Evelyns, Kyokos and Kimoras, the women who could not always get their degrees right away but who made damn sure we got ours, This one’s for you, I must dedicate this degree to all the leading ladies in my life, because who am I If not their daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend? Who am I without who came before and beside? We go TOGETHER. Women, period.
Thank you for being here with me, crying tears of exhaustion anxiety and joy with me, congratulations, thank you so much, & in the immortal words of Jay-Z, we on to the next one! 😉🤎🤍🤎🤍

Aoki Lee Simmons Becomes One Of Harvard University’s Youngest Graduates

Aoki Lee Simmons has made history as one of Harvard University’s youngest graduates after finishing school one year early. Her mother, model/entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons posted video and photos on her Instagram page crying tears of joy.

The proud mom wrote:

My baby girl is a HARVARD GRADUATE!!! AND with a double major! AND one of the youngest in recent history to do so at only 20 years young! This is CRAZYY! IM SO SO SOO PROUD! AND all the while carrying a full time job modeling! But YOU DID IT!-WE DID IT! Mama loves you soooo much my brainy beauty! These are hard fought tears anyone who knows us will know! 😭❤❤ #harvard2023

Aoki has been very vocal about social issues and never holds her tongue about hard to discuss topics. She told PEOPLE magazine following her graduation, “I feel grateful, proud and relieved — in that order! It’s a surreal feeling to be done with something that was such a huge part of my life. Now, like every other graduate, I’m on to the next chapter. I’m so thankful for the village of people that spurred me along and helped keep me focused. My mom, my sister, my little brothers back at home. It took a whole tribe, trust me!”

Aoki Lee Simmons Calls Out Vogue for Snubbing Her Mom From Their Karl Lagerfeld Tribute Cover

Kimora Lee Simmons’ 20-year-old daughter Aoki Lee Simmons called out Vogue Magazine after her mom was left off of the cover celebrating late designer Karl Lagerfeld. Kimora definitely hit the scene as one of Lagerfeld’s legendary muse’s. She signed an exclusive contract with Chanel at just 13-years-old and went on to close his haute couture show in 1989.

Recently, Vogue posted their May 2023 issue announcing it is a celebration of Karl Lagerfeld and the models ‘he loved the most’.

For the cover story, shot at Paris’s @le_grand_palais amid a sweeping renovation, we asked ten designers inspired by Lagerfeld’s visionary work to interpret it anew. Their creations appear on ten of the models that Lagerfeld loved most: Anok Yai, Shalom Harlow, Kendall Jenner, Liu Wen, Adut Akech, Natalia Vodianova, Naomi Campbell, Amber Valletta, Gigi Hadid, and Devon Aoki.

Kimora’s daughter Aoki then responded on her social media defending her mom and her legacy.

Aoki Lee Simmons Under Fire After Revealing Her Boyfriend On Social Media

Aoki Lee Simmons has been under fire after revealing her boyfriend on social media. Commenters attacked Aoki’s decision to date white and questioned if she ever experienced dating her own race. Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons’ youngest daughter decided to curb her social media activity after an influx of nasty comments following her Valentines Day post.

The drama began after Aoki did a ‘hard launch’ of her boyfriend after hiding his identity. They’ve been together for over a year and she’s shared pictures of him before but only his feet. This was the first time anyone saw his face or skin color.

After countless racially charged comments calling her beau old and ugly, Aoki decided to respond.

It’s genuinely so awful. How is any young person supposed to have a normal well adjusted life if this is what happens over a Godamn tagless valentines day post?!
And I had no idea because within my page it’s mild and mostly positive.
(Thank you guys for that) but I guess outside of it the world, people I haven’t done anything to or harmed at all, are just horrendously bitter and racist.
Anyway. I need to reconsider how/ if I use this platform and what I share.
Which sucks because l’m an open person but this can’t happen to people I care about

I understand the public figure/you knew it was going to happen ec… argument. Sure I guess I knew the world was stuck in 1950 and would have some recessive & to say about something as simple as an interracial relationship…….
Like that’s truly sad, especially from people of color, but it was expected
