GloRilla & Lil Durk Tear Up The Club On “Ex’s (PHATNALL Remix)”

GloRilla and Lil Durk might be the duo that we never know we needed. Though they’ve yet to properly collaborate with each other, they both appeared on Don Toliver’s “Leave The Club,”  though on two separate beats. However, the two returned this week with the release of their latest record, “Ex’s.” Glo initially teased the record on Tuesday on social media where she previewed Durk’s verse, leaving fans in a state of anticipation for the muddy banger.

Finally, the song arrives in its entirety as GloRilla unveiled the official bonus edition of Anyways, Life’s Great. GloRilla and Lil Durk slide over Kokurcho’s piano-laden production that strikes with the bounce of Memphis and the vicious intensity of Chicago’s drill sound. The two rappers connect to address their ex’s on the record. Glo delivers animated bars as she dismisses her ex (“Tell him throw the neck back for this p**sy, boy, it’s Fentanyl) with a gritty, sprightly flow. However, it’s Lil Durk’s verse that already had people talking.

Lil Durk Says He Went Through India Royale’s Phone On GloRilla Song

Since it is a song about their exes, it only made sense that Durk would hop on the record to address his woes with India Royale. It couldn’t come at a better time since the Chicago rapper’s made it his mission to try and win her back publicly. Durk comes through with a lengthy verse where he dives into his trouble with women but more specifically, his trust issues in relationships. “This the first person I cared about, I’m going through phones here,” he raps on the song. It didn’t take long for fans to suspect that he was discussing his break-up with India Royale.

Though this marks their first collaboration together, GloRilla and Lil Durk have flawless chemistry on this record. While Durk himself is working on his follow-up to 7220, perhaps we’ll hear more from them in the near future. Glo found an excellent record that brings out some of the best in Durk and simultaneously proves that she crafts hit records with little effort. Trench bitches, they don’t care ’bout lashes they want ski masks
