Nas previously appeared on Finding Your Roots in 2014, at which time, he found a bill of sale for his third great-grandmother. “First, I was enraged when I looked at the bill of sale. I was like, that guy that owned property owes me some cash. My people made him really wealthy, so maybe I should find his family and talk,” he said, as caught by HipHopDX. “They paid $830 for my great-great-great-grandma? I got more than that in my pocket right now. This is painful. To see that, that hurts.”

Drake Shares Dad’s Ancestry Results: “I’m A Naija Man”

Drake says that his father took an ancestry test, revealing that he’s Nigerian. The Toronto rapper shared the results of the test on Instagram, Sunday night. “This is my dad’s results, does this mean I’m a Naija man finally?” Drake asked his followers. The results show Dennis Graham with 30% for Nigeria, 28% for Cameroon, Congo, & Western Bantu Peoples, 11% for Ivory Coast & Ghana, another 8% for England & Northwestern Europe, and other small percentages for Scotland, Mali, Benin & Togo, and Germanic Europe.

When NoJumper shared the results on their Instagram page, fans had plenty of jokes in response. “Drake seem like the type to really start acting Nigerian now,” one user commented. “Ahh there goes another culture,” another joked. Some fans doubted the validity of the results. One remarked, “That’s site is a scam! It says I’m 33% Nigerian and the rest is pretty much the same as drakes findings.”
