Diddy’s Lawyers Want His Shackles Removed For Next Court Hearing

Diddy’s legal team has filed a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian requesting that authorities remove the shackles from the Bad Boy mogul ahead of his court hearing on Tuesday. They argue that the restraints will influence possible jurors into being biased against him ahead of trial. The hearing is to discuss accusations from the defense that prosecutors unlawfully seized materials from Diddy’s jail cell.

“Given the press attention on the pretrial proceedings in this case, there is a substantial risk that potential jurors will learn about the shackling through the media and develop such a bias,” Diddy’s team wrote in the letter. They concluded: “Because there is absolutely no reason to shackle Mr. Combs during court proceedings, and because such shackling prejudices the potential jury pool, undermines his presumption of innocence, interferes with his ability to communicate with counsel, and offends the dignity and decorum of the proceedings, we respectfully request that the Court direct the U.S. Marshals Service to remove his shackles before bringing him into the courtroom.”

As for the alleged raid on Diddy’s prison cell, his team labeled it “outrageous government conduct amounting to a substantive due process violation.” It allegedly allowed prosecutors to view “privileged notes to his lawyers concerning defense witnesses and defense strategies.” Diddy’s been staying at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York since his arrest on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering, having been denied bail on multiple occasions.

Diddy will appear in court at 3:00 PM, ET on Tuesday to discuss the recent raid on his prison cell. He has pleaded not guilty and repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in the case. Check out the letter from Diddy’s legal team below.

Tony Buzbee Is Livid Following Recent Extortion Allegations From Diddy Affiliate

It sounds like the “high profile individual” poked the bear earlier today, so to speak. According to an update from TMZ, Tony Buzbee is firing back following a recent lawsuit against him. This unknown person claims to have been close with Diddy for years. This individual sent in a suit to the L.A. County Superior Court Monday morning against Buzbee for alleged extortion. Whether or not these allegations turn out to be true will come with time, but the Doe’s legal documents arrived a fishy time.

In Tubi’s recent documentary surrounding Diddy’s arrest, Buzbee said he was looking to expose many big names outside of the mogul. The Houston lawyer claimed to have already sent out demand letters looking for money. But if these Diddy affiliates don’t respond then lawsuits are coming. This Jane Doe seems to either trying to get under Buzbee’s skin, or he has an actual case against him. Those results will come later. For now, though, the man representing over 120 alleged victims of Diddy’s is ticked off and then some.

Buzbee spoke with TMZ, and he’s making sure he nor his clients will be silenced. “We won’t allow the powerful and their high-dollar lawyers to intimidate or silence sexual assault survivors.” Overall, he feels that this person’s suit is a joke and that they are taking blatant advantage of the system. In addition, he’s dismissing the “high profile individual’s” extortion allegations.

Buzbee says that he did send in a demand letter to a lawyer in NY representing the Jane Doe “seeking a confidential settlement on behalf of 2 clients instead of a lawsuit.” However, he affirms that no money requests nor threats were made on his behalf. Buzbee then capped off his feelings about the suit, emphatically stating, “I am a U.S. Marine. I won’t be silenced or intimidated. Neither will my clients.” Lastly, things may be taking a major turn as he has also seriously considering sharing more information the demand letters.

Diddy Accused Of Paying To Use Other Inmates’ Phone Accounts For Unmonitored Calls

It goes without saying that it’s just the beginning of a long and difficult legal battle for Diddy. The Bad Boy mogul is currently in prison in New York, facing charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. His trial is expected to begin in May of next year, and he’s being held without bond. His fifth bond hearing is scheduled for November 22. He’s additionally facing various lawsuits from men and women accusing him of sexual assault, abuse, and more.

Now, in a new court filing, prosecutors allege that he’s used other inmates’ phone accounts to make unmonitored calls. They accuse him of allegedly evading federal regulations by doing so. They also claim this allegedly makes him untrustworthy in establishing he could follow release conditions if granted bond.

This is far from all prosecutors are accusing Diddy of, however. They also believe he allegedly paid Kalenna Harper to come to his defense amid Dawn Richard’s lawsuit against him. Their filing points to 128 total alleged communications leading up to Harper’s public response to the lawsuit, which she posted in September of this year.

They also accuse Diddy of organizing a social media campaign with his family to allegedly sway jurors with a birthday video. “The defendant has shown repeatedly — even while in custody — that he will flagrantly and repeatedly flout rules in order to improperly impact the outcome of his case,” they allege. “[Combs] explicitly discussed with his family how to ensure that the video had his desired effect on potential jury members in this case.” Diddy’s latest bail proposal includes $50 million in bail, as well as constant surveillance and no contact with anyone besides his lawyers.

Soulja Boy Goes Off On “Broke-A**” Plies For Suing Him

Earlier this month, Plies hit various fellow rappers with a lawsuit for alleged copyright infringement, according to TMZ Hip Hop. This includes Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Cardi B, and Soulja Boy. He alleges that they’ve used his “Me & My Goons” beat for their own songs “Wanna Be” and “Pretty Boy Swag.” On top of the artists themselves, Plies has listed Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Productions, Soulja Boy’s former imprint Collipark Productions, Universal Music Group, Collective Music Group, and Interscope as defendants. He’s seeking unspecified damages.

Recently, Soulja Boy hopped on Instagram Live to share his thoughts on the suit, making it clear that he’s not at all pleased. “Plies, if you don’t sit your broke a** down somewhere,” he began. “‘Pretty Boy Swag’ is not your beat.” He went on, accusing Plies of being a snitch and insisting that his beat is original. He also theorized that Plies is just suing him for financial gain.

Soulja Boy isn’t the only person who has a problem with Plies’ lawsuit, however. Shortly after he filed, Megan Thee Stallion’s producer LilJuMadeDaBeat fired back on X. He claimed that the song “Wanna Be” credits its sample to Big E, the original producer. “My Dougie came it in 2006, Me & My Goons came it in 2008. Big E the producer of ‘My Dougie’ is credited on Wanna Be,” he wrote. “For the Record Pretty Boy Swag is a remake of My Dougie as well. Soulja Boy is on the My Dougie Remix. Me & My Goons literally not even the single for that Plies album.”

Plies has received additional backlash for the lawsuit on social media, as users accused him of going after Black women in particular. “This lawsuit isn’t a strategically timed attack against Black women,” his lawyer Aaron J. Thornton said in response. “Plies has said a lot of meaningful and important things in support of Black women.”

Kanye West’s Former Employee Details Alleged “Antisemitic Tirades” Involving Kim Kardashian

Recently, Kanye West was hit with yet another lawsuit from a former Yeezy employee, Murphy Aficionado. He accuses the Chicago artist of discrimination, creating a hostile work environment, wrongful termination, failure to pay wages, and labor code violations. Aficionado also claimed that Ye’s alleged “antisemitic tirades” were a “daily occurrence,” according to Rolling Stone. Moreover, he said that these alleged tirades often involved the Kardashians.

“The Jews are out to get me. They froze my bank account. The Jews got Kim [Kardashian] and my kids. The Jews convinced Kim [Kardashian]. She has Jewish masters,” he recalled Ye allegedly saying at one point in the suit. “Ye’s antisemitic tirades and conspiracies were a daily occurrence. Often, these outbursts involved how Jews controlled the Kardashians. Other times, Ye recounted how Jews were going after him and his money.”

These are far from the only allegations in Aficionado’s lawsuit, however. He also accuses Ye of inappropriate conduct with his wife Bianca Censori in the workplace, according to TMZ. Allegedly, the performer told him to meet him at a Beverly Hills hotel room back in 2022. When he arrived, Aficionado claimed that it was apparent Ye and Censori had been having sex, as she was allegedly topless and his pants were unbuttoned.

He says he was instructed to stay put while Ye went to the room Censori was in, and proceeded to hear “loud moaning and clapping.” Allegedly, he came out a few minutes later wearing a t-shirt with a swastika on it and showed him nude photos of Kim Kardashian. At the time of writing, Ye has yet to publicly address the lawsuit.

Diddy Accused Of Paying Kalenna Harper To Defend Him Amid Dawn Richard Lawsuit

In September of this year, Diddy was hit with a lawsuit from Dawn Richard. She accused him of sexual and emotional abuse and alleged that she witnessed him assault his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. “It’s unfortunate that Ms. Richard has cast their 20-year friendship aside to try and get money from him, but Mr. Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court,” Diddy’s lawyer Erica Wolff said in a statement in response to the lawsuit.

Shortly after news of Richard’s lawsuit went public, another member of Diddy-Dirty Money broke her silence. Kalenna Harper took to her Instagram Story to deny ever seeing Diddy engage in this kind of behavior. “While I fully respect Dawn’s right to recount her experiences, I want to emphasize that her account reflects her personal perspective and should not be interpreted as a universal truth applicable to everyone involved,” her statement read in part.

Megan Thee Stallion Wants Ex-Cameraman’s Legal Team To Pay For Missing Court

Earlier this year, Megan Thee Stallion’s former cameraman Emilio Garcia hit her with some shocking allegations. He sued the “Hiss” performer for alleged harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and more. In Garcia’s suit, he accuses Meg of sleeping with a woman in front of him, fat-shaming him, and more. According to NBC News, he’s seeking six figures in allegedly “unpaid wages, as well as interest on the unpaid wages, unpaid overtime wages and other employee benefits at the legal rate.”

This week, journalist Meghann Cuniff reported that lawyers representing Garcia failed to show up for a pre-trial conference in Manhattan. This means they could be sanctioned. The judge also reportedly issued an order asking them to explain why they shouldn’t be. Now, per a new post by Cuniff on X, Meg’s team wants him sanctioned $6K. Moreover, they’re asking that the lawsuit be dismissed without prejudice and refiled once Garcia’s lawyer finds counsel in New York.

Reportedly, the next pre-trial conference is scheduled for November 18. Garcia’s allegations are far from the only ones Meg’s been hit with throughout her career, however. Earlier this month, for example, Jason Lee accused her of getting into a fight with Winnie Harlow at one of Michael Rubin’s white parties. Loren Lorosa later alleged that this had something to do with Tory Lanez, who famously shot Meg in the foot in 2020.

During his recent appearance on The Jamal Bryant Podcast, Ray J got vulnerable and opened up about battling suicidal thoughts. According to him, he’s attempted in the past while on a roof in Mexico. “I’ve thought about suicide a lot but that was when I attempted it,” he explained. “And I really didn’t want to do it but I really did want to do it… Because it’s like when you have a bad dream and then you think it’s real, it feels real. Then you wake up… I be feeling like that life really happened, and so whatever dimension I popped into is where I’m at now.”

Ray J continued, describing himself as a “liar” for being unable to expose the truths he claims to know. “I’ve lied about my whole life, I’m a liar. Unless I say ‘These people did this to me, the very bad people, and they’ve been controlling me this whole time.’ Just like the National Syndicate […] They’ll come kill me, bro,” he alleged.

Baka Not Nice Proves He’s Still Around By Posing For Photo With Drake

It’s been several months since Kendrick Lamar unleashed his hit Drake diss, “Not Like Us.” In it, he accuses the Toronto rapper and his associates of being predators. Famously, he even called one of them out by name, Baka Not Nice. “Baka got a weird case, why is he around? / Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles,” he raps.

Baka is a former bodyguard and longtime friend of Drake’s. He was arrested for allegedly forcing a woman into prostitution in 2014, according to Complex. He pleaded guilty to assaulting the same woman in 2015. Procuring for prostitution and human trafficking charges against him were reportedly dropped because the woman decided not to testify. He was sentenced to six months behind bars. Amid Drake’s viral feud with Kendrick, Baka has stuck by the OVO Sound co-founder’s side. Last night, he even took to his Instagram Story to share a new photo alongside Drake.

Of course, Instagram users in 2cool2bl0g‘s comments section are hard at work trolling the OVO signee. “Why is he around ,” one of them asks. “Don’t he got a weird case?” another wonders. Despite all the clowning, it’s clear that Baka and Drake are on good terms. Suge Knight Accuses Diddy Of Molesting Justin Bieber & Usher

Diddy has been hit with countless disturbing allegations in recent months, and recently, Suge Knight added even more to the list. During a new interview with Michael Franzese from prison, the Death Row co-founder accused the Bad Boy mogul of sexually abusing both Usher and Justin Bieber. According to him, the alleged sexual abuse wasn’t a secret either, as he accuses several of Diddy’s associates of being involved.

“Everybody knows what Puffy did. There’s not one person that didn’t know that Puffy was f*cking Usher. It was the saddest thing in the world what they did to Justin Bieber […] They had sex with him. I hate to say that because I really like Justin Bieber. I feel bad for Justin Bieber,” he alleged. Knight continued, providing more details of Diddy’s allegedly inappropriate relationship with Bieber.

Knight then switched his focus back to Usher, alleging that Diddy molested the artist when he was a teenager. “Usher spent the night with him and Puffy being in the same bed when they did an album,” he alleged. “They never put out one song at that time.” These are far from the only accusations Diddy’s been hit with as of late, however. During a recent appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Shyne also accused him of setting him up to be the “fall guy” in a 1999 nightclub shooting. A rep for Diddy responded on his behalf yesterday, calling the allegations “unequivocally false.”
