50 Cent’s “Many Men” Returns To The Charts After Donald Trump Survives Assassination Attempt

50 Cent’s iconic song, “Many Men,” has reportedly returned to the iTunes charts in the wake of Donald Trump surviving an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday. 50 acknowledged the situation on X (formerly Twitter) by sharing an edit of his Get Rich or Die Tryin’ cover featuring the former president’s face on his body. “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending,” he captioned the image. The lyrics to the song famously reference 50 surviving being shot 9 times in 2000.

Plenty of Trump’s supporters popped up in the replies to his post to celebrate the moment. “Trump is unstoppable, not even bullet can stop him. He is winning this for us Americana! Build the statue NOW!!” one user wrote. Another added: “If you would walk out on stage with him next appearance it would cause pandemonium.”

Donald Trump Survives Shooting During Pennsylvania Rally

The morning newspapers on display at a shop in Sydney on July 15, 2024, show the headlines and photos following the assassination attempt on former US president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024. Trump was hit in the ear in an apparent assassination attempt by a gunman at a campaign rally on July 13, in a chaotic and shocking incident that will fuel fears of instability ahead of the 2024 US presidential election. The 78-year-old former president was rushed off stage with blood smeared across his face after the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, while the gunman and a bystander were killed and two spectators critically injured. As for the shooting, Trump happened to turn his face slightly to the right just before a gun was fired in his direction, causing the bullet to only nick his ear. “I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead,” Trump told the New York Post afterward. “I’m supposed to be dead. The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle.”

J Cole’s “Might Delete Later” Misses No. 1 Debut, Beyonce’s “COWBOY CARTER” Takes Top Spot

With his last six album releases, J Cole has confidently held onto the Billboard 200 album chart’s No. 1 spot. When it came time to drop his Might Delete Later project earlier this month, however, he had some serious competition from Beyonce, whose dive into country is continuing to do numbers even after its first week out. Upon arriving on DSPs, COWBOY CARTER became the best-selling record of 2024 so far, moving upwards of 400K units.

Though it was initially expected to come in at No. 2, it looks like Queen B has nabbed the top spot on the chart again this week, bumping Cole’s work down to second. As HipHopDX notes, the surprise mixtape brought in 115K album equivalent units over the past few days, which is still impressive, even if it ends his over 10-year streak. 2011’s Cole World: The Sideline Story was the first of the MC’s LP’s to go No. 1, and 2021’s The Off-Season marks the last time he achieved the accolade. Besides his solo efforts, the Dreamville compilation tape, Revenge of the Dreamers III became a chart-topper in 2019, making it the label head’s seventh overall.

J Cole Was Heading for Billboard’s No. 1, but Bey Ultimately Beat Him

The loss is likely tough for the father of two, but he and Bey have previously collaborated so we’re hoping there’s no bad blood. In 2011, Cole joined the Houston native to remix “Party,” which he revealed he was initially supposed to be on the original version of. “Just the fact to even be on the song with her and shoot the video with her and just be in her presence. She’s such a hard-working, incredible artist,” he said on the Rise & Grind Morning Show last year.

The men of hip-hop have been feuding non-stop in recent weeks, and though he’s usually a peaceful person, even J Cole found himself in the middle of Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s drama. However, after coming for K-Dot on “7 Minute Drill,” the North Carolina native ultimately left the diss track off his Might Delete Later project, though it still landed on the Billboard Hot 100. Read all about that at the link below, and check back later for more music/pop culture news updates.

Cardi B’s “Invasion Of Privacy” Charts Following Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2” Release

Today, Nicki Minaj unveiled her eagerly-anticipated new album, Pink Friday 2. The LP boasts various high-profile features from the likes of J. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Lil Wayne, and more. So far, the Barbz are satisfied with what Nicki’s come through with after months of teasing, however, it also seems to have invoked the fanbase of one of her longtime rivals, Cardi B.

Shortly after Nicki released her new album, Cardi B’s album Invasion of Privacy began to climb the charts once again. Her 2018 debut is surely a fan favorite, however, this appears to be less than coincidental. Their fanbases are known to go head-to-head regularly, and Cardi’s supporters may be trying to bolster her amid the success of Nicki’s latest project.

Invasion Of Privacy Going Head To Head With Pink Friday 2

This wouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as the Barbz have already been speculating that Cardi was trying to sabotage her release with faux relationship drama. Earlier this week, both Cardi B and her husband Offset posted vague references to trust in relationships, leading to speculation that they’ve gone their separate ways. They’ve yet to confirm this. “You know sometimes you just outgrow relationships,” Cardi wrote. “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings… I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.”

Offset went on to post a clip from Scarface, which shows Al Pacino’s character saying, “Hey, f*ck you, man! Who put this thing together? Me. That’s who. Who do I trust? Me.” Almost immediately, fans started speculating that the whole thing was a hoax to distract from “Nicki week.” What do you think of Cardi B’s 2018 debut album Invasion of Privacy reentering the charts following the release of Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2? How are you liking Nicki’s new album so far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

DJ Khaled Claims He & Tyler, The Creator Are On Great Terms Despite Previous Beef

DJ Khaled and Tyler, The Creator infamously got into some beef back in 2019. Father Of Asahd and Igor came out the same week, and while most thought Khaled would win the sales war, it was Tyler who ended up victorious. Following the success of Igor, Khaled called Tyler “mysterious.” Furthermore, he said that his own music was played in cars and barbershops. Meanwhile, you couldn’t go outside and hear a single Tyler track. Overall, these were low blows that Tyler countered in full force.

During an interview with Hot 97, Tyler went off on Khaled, noting that losing the sales war really hurt the super producer. Tyler continued to take shots at Khaled here and there, although Khaled himself largely forgot the beef. Well, now it seems like things have been completely squashed. In a new interview with Jeff Ihaza of Rolling Stone, Khaled made the claim that he would love to work with Tyler. He even went so far as to say that the two are now on good terms with one another.

DJ Khaled With An Interesting Comment

“He also tells me he’d like to work with Tems and, surprisingly, Tyler, the Creator, with whom he says he has a good rapport, despite a social media tussle when Father of Asahd was beaten out by Tyler’s Igor on the charts in 2019. (He says they chopped it up at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation brunch earlier this year.)” Ihaza wrote. It feels unlikely that such a collab would ever happen. However, it could certainly prove to be an interesting one.
