Jeremy Lin’s Post On Racism Sparks Investigation

“I applaud Jeremy for his words and echo his sentiments regarding racism against the Asian American community,” Kerr said in regards to Lin’s Facebook post. “It’s just so ridiculous and obviously spawned by many people, including our former president, as it relates to the coronavirus originating in China. It’s just shocking.”

House Passes $1.9 Trillion COVID-19 Relief Bill

People have never been more anxious for another stimulus check. More than half a million lives have now been lost to the Coronavirus, and most people have gone months without any kind of government support. Those who normally work full-time in-person are still struggling to stay afloat after the COVID-19 pandemic has left them quarantined and unemployed. On Friday, the first step in a new coronavirus relief package moved forward, with a $1.9 trillion relief bill being passed by the House of Representatives.

The bill aims to infuse cash to struggling individuals and stimulate the economy, providing citizens with some form of assistance in paying for rent, food, and other bills. Many Republican representatives opposed the bill, saying it was too expensive and not enough money was going to be sent to immediately reopen schools.

“I am a happy camper tonight,” Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., said Friday. “This is what America needs. Republicans, you ought to be a part of this. But if you’re not, we’re going without you.”

The goals of the bill are to provide $1,400 relief checks to individuals, increase tax credits for children, and extend emergency unemployment until August. The bill also uses billions of dollars to support schools, local government, COVID-19 vaccines and testing, and offer relief to struggling industries such as restaurants, bars, and airlines. The bill will now move to the Senate.

Eddie Murphy Offers His Side Of Hilarious Prince Basketball Game Story

If you were a fan of “Chappelle’s Show” back in the day, then you certainly remember the Charlie Murphy Hollywood Stories in which he would recount hilarious tales about his time in the entertainment industry. While the Rick James story is easily the most quotable, the Prince basketball game may very well be the funnier of the two. In the story, Murphy assumes that Prince and his crew aren’t very good at sports but in the end, he is proven wrong as the Murphy brothers got decimated by a team full of men in blouses.

During an appearance on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Eddie Murphy gave his side of the story and as it turns out, the late Charlie Murphy told it extremely accurately. Perhaps the only fact he omitted is when Prince actually gave his teammate some kicks that were three sizes too small.

“My brother was like, ‘Okay, it’s going to be shirts against blouses,’” Murphy explained. “The blouses won, they beat the s–– out of us. We had one dude on our squad Larry who could play and he didn’t have no shoes so Prince gave him some sneakers. And Prince wore like two, three sizes smaller than Larry, but Larry was so excited to have Prince’s sneakers on, he put those tiny sneakers on his feet and he couldn’t do his game right. So we lost. The one dude who could play, Prince’s shoes had him shutdown.”

It was great to hear Eddie add some credence to the original story, which will forever be a classic segment on “Chappelle’s Show.” If you want to see the original story told by Charlie, you can check that out down below.

Big Sean Flexes His Gains In Shirtless Workout Photos

Forced quarantine as the COVID-19 pandemic roars on has freed up a lot of time for many as they’re pushed to spend much more time at home than usual. Some people picked up new hobbies, while some used the increased free time to work on getting their post-quarantine body just right. Big Sean seemed to be keeping busy with the latter, debuting his impressive new quarantine body in a series of shirtless photos on the Gram.

He shared the photos on Friday (February 26) to his Instagram account, wearing nothing but blue workout shorts as he posed, resembling an action-figure. He penned in the caption of the post, “Had to start catching up to my potential…Last pic a reminder to myself to keep this shit up,” with an arm flexing and laughing emoji.

He attached a photo at the end of the set at the start of the Detroit rapper’s career, notably way less swole than he is now. As many pointed out, the rapper has accentuated the “Big” in his stage name with his new muscular build. Comedian Marlon Wayans joked that Sean had got so buff that it looked like he had just been released from an extended prison stint.

“N*gga looking like he just got released from a 10 year bid #jailbuff,” commented Wayans. Another follower simply added, “Bigger Sean”

Big Sean recently celebrated the sixth anniversary of his third studio album Dark Sky Paradise, which featured hits like “I Don’t Fuck With You,” “Blessings,” and “Play No Games.”

Drake’s Unreleased Song “What’s Next” Surfaces

We’re almost at the end of February and there’s still no sign of whether we’ll be seeing Certified Lover Boy any time soon. The album was expected to drop in January and as the month came to an end, Drake said that it would not be dropping. Fans were saddened by the news, especially since he never mentioned exactly when we could expect it. However, he’s working hard and he’s made a concerted effort to remind us all of this.

Even with a guarded vault filled with unreleased gems, Drake’s unreleased catalog continues to get breached to this day. An unreleased record was unearthed this weekend titled, “What’s Next.” Drizzy’s on his rapping shit this time around, cutting through the grungy trap production with grandiose flexes that only he could relate to.

There’s some familiarity with the latest leak. Just a few weeks ago, an unreleased collaboration with Young Thug titled, “What A Time To Be A Slime” hit the web. It was quite unpolished but many hoped that it would land on either CLB or whatever Thug has coming next. There are a few bars from his collab with Thugger that are heard on “What’s Next.” It’s unclear whether either of those tracks will be seeing a release date in the future.

We’re hoping that we’ll be getting a new single from Drake in the near future. Most recently, his long-awaited collaboration with Drakeo The Ruler on “Talk To Me” was finally released on Drakeo’s The Truth Hurts

We can’t post the new Drake leak here but it shouldn’t be too hard to find. Are you excited about Certified Lover Boy?

Kash Doll’s Provocative Tweet Unintentionally Applies To Kevin Durant And Fans Are Reacting

Back in October, City Girls’ JT and Yung Miami joined DaBaby for a sizzling remix of Moneybagg Yo’s “Said Sum” remix. The song would birth one of JT’s most popular verses, as well as one of the most popular verses of 2020. Kash Doll is definitely a fan of the verse as she recently tweeted a lyric from the line with a slight change, writing, “All these n****s wanna f*ck KD.”

While it’s clear Kash was referring to herself as “KD,” there’s already a celebrity who goes by KD, and that would be Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant. As a result, one fan replied with a meme of what Durant’s reaction to the tweet might be.

Kash held her ground and responded to them saying, “We argue all the time…. he know I’m the REAL KD.” Durant eventually caught wind of the tweet and issued a light-hearted warning to the rapper.

“You did not have to use those initials to get this tweet off,” he said. “U have to relax with the KD talk, your name is KASHDOLL.” The Detroit rapper seemed uninterested in Durant’s complaints as she replied, “I’m the real KD…. your name Kevin Durant act accordingly (red heart).”

Fans of both Kash and Durant caught wind of the exchange and shared a bunch of hilarious responses to it. You can read some of them below.

Tekashi 69 Sued By A Miami Stripper For Aggravated Battery Following A Club Fight

Tekashi 69 has been involved in a decent amount of controversy over the past couple of weeks, but the latest report finds the rapper in some legal trouble. According to TMZ, he was recently sued for aggravated battery by a Miami stripper following a club fight on February 20.

The victim, Alexis Salaberrios, and her lawyer David M. Tarlow told the publication that an altercation at the city’s Gold Rush Cabaret began after someone called the rapper out for snitching. During the ensuing fight, he tried to throw a champagne bottle at the individual, but he unfortunately missed and struck the stripper in the head.

Salaberrios reveals that the incident forced her to go to the ER where she received several staples to close a cut on her head. In the suit, she claims he threw the “deadly object with intent to commit serious bodily injury.” In addition to the rapper, Salaberrios is also suing the club for their lack of security around Tekashi despite knowing he has a “propensity for violence.” She claims that club employees removed him from the club after she was hit with the bottle and tried to convince her to not call the police. Tarlow says she refused their request and reported the incident to officers.

The rapper’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, said his client was not involved in the club fight. “There are video cameras in the establishment. It’s an attempt to shake him down,” he said. “If he is served properly, we will immediately move to have it dismissed.”

Thunder & Hawks Confuse Fans After Wearing Clashing Uniforms

Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma City Thunder fans were thrown into a sea of confusion last night as the two teams wore similar jerseys during their game. The Hawks only brought red jerseys on their road trip, despite being told by the Thunder that the home team would be wearing orange when they played each other. As a result, both teams were stuck and fans were left extremely confused as the teams looked exactly the same out on the court.

Fans immediately caught on to what was going on which led to a variety of complaints on social media. Eventually, the Thunder decided to suck it up and change into their white jerseys, which they had on hand as backups. The second half was much easier to watch and the crisis was averted.

Despite having to change their jerseys, everything worked out in the Thunder’s favor as they went on to win their game by a score of 118-109. As for the Hawks, they will continue to wear their red jerseys for the remainder of their road trip, and opposing teams can use last night’s events as a fair warning of what to wear in the future.

While this is typically a rare occurrence in the NBA, it is still a pretty funny one.

Safaree Thinks Potato Head Being Gender-Neutral “Is Reaching”

Safaree Samuels is not afraid to speak his mind, no matter how head-turning or side-eye worthy it might be. At the beginning of the year, he suggested he wasn’t interested in having more children with his estranged wife Erica Mena because she got “too fat” during her pregnancy with the couple’s first child. In the latest Safaree social media antic, the Love & Hip Hop star questioned the purpose of Hasbro dropping the ‘Mr.’ title from their Potato Head toy line Thursday (February 25) to instead be gender-neutral.

On Friday, the “Paradise” artist tweeted out his disdain with the news, suggesting that the brand was “reaching.” “Mr potato head is reaching. your a potato nigga what the helll you mean your gender neutral,” he penned on Twitter.

“who the hell be coming up with these ideas 30 years later,” he continued. After a fan pointed out that the toy itself is made of plastic, he added in a second tweet, “That makes it even dumber they really had a meeting on a plastic potato.”

Although they removed the “Mr.” title from the toy, Hasbro explained they will be keeping the toy as is in appearance.

“Launching this fall, the Create Your Potato Head Family is a celebration of the many faces of families allowing kids to imagine and create their own Potato Head family with two large potato bodies, one small potato body and 42 accessories,” Hasbro wrote in a statement. “The possibilities to create your own families are endless with mixing and mashing all the parts and pieces.”

Safaree is known to give his controversial hot takes on social media. In addition to the Erica Mena fat-shaming comment, he also claimed getting married to her was one of the biggest mistakes of his life.

“I mean this from the bottom of my heart getting married was 1 of my BIGGEST mistakes and it will never happen again,” he said on the platform Tuesday (Feb. 23). “I’m walking away before I end up in jail over some dumb shit. Nobody is worth my freedom!!!”

Kobe Bryant’s Daughter Capri Adorably Tries On Oversized Kobe 6s

Throughout the last year, Vanessa Bryant has continuously helped keep Kobe’s memory alive by posting wonderful tributes to the late basketball star and their daughter and Gianna. Vanessa has also posted photos and videos of her other kids, who have also been doing little things that remind us all of their dad.

The most recent example of this happened yesterday as Bryant posted a video of her youngest child Capri, wearing some oversized Nike Kobe 6s. These shoes actually belonged to Vanessa and are a size 7 men’s. Of course, they were way too big for Capri although she didn’t seem to care as she trotted around in the shoes with a big smile on her face.

The colorway in the clips above is the “All-Star” model which is one of the more recent offerings to be unveiled. Nike has been dropping a ton of new Kobe sneakers over the past few months, and it’s good to see that Vanessa has been receiving these pairs. If there is anyone who deserves to have them, it would certainly be her.

As for Capri, she is already taking a huge liking to sneakers, and we can only imagine what her collection is going to look like over the coming years.
