Jack Harlow Hates Running In His New Balance Television Ad

Jack Harlow may have shown off his athletic prowess during the recent NBA All-Star weekend B/R Open Run, but he apparently doesn’t exactly enjoy exercise. At least, not judging from his appearance in a recent television advertisement for New Balance. He makes sure to contradict the commercial’s voiceover when it asserts that he loves running before he hits the treadmill. “I hate running,” he insists before allowing, “I love these though,” pointing down at the Fresh Foams.

Harlow, who appears in the ad with professional runners Emma Coburn and Daichi Kamino, has had a busy March. Besides helping his teammate Quavo defeat the size advantage of 2 Chainz and Lil Baby in the Bleacher Report basketball game, he’s making two major performance debuts. First, he and his band took over his living room for a soulful Tiny Desk Concert, and this weekend he’ll be appearing on late-night television with Maya Rudolph to perform on Saturday Night Live.

He’ll do well to keep up that cardio in his new New Balance running shoes as well; Lil Baby recently demanded a rematch — after a reasonable amount of time to train, of course. Maybe Jack will be kind enough to donate a pair to his would-be opponents, because last time, they looked pretty winded after a few plays.

Chicago Cubs Prospect Arrested After Being Caught With 25 Pounds Of Meth

Minor League Baseball players have struggled in the past when it comes to making money. Of course, this is because the Minor League doesn’t guarantee its players a fair salary. It is typically the guys in the Majors who make all of the bread, and there have been cases where Minor League players try to get a second job as a means of paying their bills.

For Chicago Cubs prospect Jesus Camargo-Corrales, this went a bit too far as he was recently arrested in Colorado after being found with 25 pounds of Meth and 1.2 pounds of oxycodone in his car. Camargo-Corrales eventually admitted that he was paid $500 to bring the drugs to a buyer.

Camargo-Corrales is currently still being held as a result of the arrest and it was revealed that he was charged with unlawful distribution and possession of methamphetamine and oxycodone which are massive felonies. As it stands, the Cubs know of the situation although they have yet to issue an opinion or lengthy statement on the matter.

This is one of those stories that always take fans by surprise, and it’s sad to see such a thing happen to someone who had carved out a lane for themself in the world of sports.

Roddy Ricch Calls Kanye West’s “MBDTF” The GOAT Album

It was only a few months ago when Kanye West’s magnum opus, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy turned 10-years old. It’s an album that many consider timeless and Kanye’s best work to date, including Roddy Ricch. Just a week removed from his spectacular performance at the Grammys where he debuted his new single, “Heartless,” he sat down with Complex to launch their new series, GOAT Talk. The rapper declared all-white Air Forces 1s as the GOAT shoe while showing his appreciation for the underrated movement of Rocawear, largely because of the flip.

When it came to the GOAT album, Roddy Ricch gave that credit to Kanye West’s fifth studio album. He explained that it embodies what timeless music due to the level of detail around the project. “Everything he put into the album. Just having just all the different types of elements to it and making it one body of work. That’s commendable,” he explained. “He tapped into timeless music. You can make a body of work age bad or you could make that you can listen to for years and years to come.”

Roddy segued into the time he met Kanye West without sharing too much information. For a young artist who’s business-oriented, he explained that meeting Kanye West opened his eyes to how far his music could reach. “I pulled up on him in Calabassas,” he said. “He was building things that don’t have nothin’ to do with no music… Different rooms havin’ different ideas. Just growing his own vegetables and havin’ his own place to, like, building up a choir. Really, really building empires. Like, the Empire you build with music.”

It’s unclear when this interview took place, given that just last week, he aired out Yeezy for pissing on his Grammy award. Though it didn’t necessarily seem like his frustrations were entirely directed towards ‘Ye, he clearly felt some type of way about not receiving a single award that evening, especially since Kanye won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album with Jesus Is King.

Cardi B’s “Up” Becomes Her Fifth #1 Single

Cardi B may feel, by her own admission, like the most hated artist on the planet at times — but in reality, that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, the Grammy-winning rapper is easily one of the most commercially successful artists in the game right now, to the point where she actively holds the honor of being the female rapper with the most number-one singles in history.

Today, Cardi extended her hold with another number one record for the collection, as “Up” officially secured the top position on the latest Hot 100 chart. Marking her fifth single to go number one, “Up” joins the likes of the diamond-certified “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It,” the Maroon 5-assisted “Girls Like You” and the bawdy “WAP.”

The New York artist took to Instagram to celebrate the new milestone, sharing a few spiritually-charged words in a heartfelt post. “I want God to come see me in my dreams when I take my nap today so I can kiss his feet and tell him how much I love him!!!” writes Cardi. “Yoooooo shit is amazing yoooooo. I got no words. Actually I got a lot of words but I can’t type it all.”

No matter how hated and scrutinized Cardi may sometimes feel, it’s evident that she has a dedicated and loyal following who appreciate her and her music, to the point where each release seems inevitably destined for the top of the Billboard charts. With an upcoming album in the works, don’t be surprised to see Cardi strengthen her lead when the long-awaited Invasion Of Privacy follow-up eventually drops.

Jamie Foxx Signs On To Play Mike Tyson In New TV Series

Mike Tyson is one of the most legendary boxers of all-time and his story is one of the most fascinating in the world. With this in mind, it shouldn’t be surprising that Tyson would want his story to be told through a classic medium like television. Well, according to Variety, that’s exactly what’s about to happen as a brand new television series is in development, which will center around Tyson’s life and career.

In fact, Tyson will be played by Jamie Foxx, who has played famous people before. He is the perfect actor for the role and just like Will Smith in Ali, we can probably expect Foxx to be getting jacked for this new gig. Tyson commented on the project and how much it means to him.

I look forward to collaborating with Martin, Antoine, Jamie, and the entire creative team to bring audiences a series that not only captures my professional and personal journey but also inspires and entertains.”

For now, there is no release date for the show, and based on the report, a network has yet to pick it up. This will change imminently, however, as a show of this magnitude will certainly bring forth some money-making potential.

Krispy Kreme’s New Deal: A COVID-19 Vaccination Gets You A Free Donut

Krispy Kreme is trying their hand at COVID-19 prevention. Today, the donut chain announced that customers who head to any U.S. location will receive a free glazed donut if they show their vaccination card, for the remainder of 2021.

The card must show one or two shots of any of the COVID-19 vaccines to qualify, and it must be redeemed in-store. Customers can come in any day, and at any time to claim their free pastry. No additional purchase is necessary.

“We all want to get COVID-19 behind us as fast as possible and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer.

For those who have decided against getting vaccinated or have yet to do so, there’s still a way to enjoy a glazed donut at no cost. Customers can still get a free glazed donut and a medium coffee on Mondays from March 29th to May 24th.

These promotions are all part of their “Be Sweet” initiative, meant to inspire joy and kindness.

In this effort, Krispy Kreme also plans to randomly deliver donuts to essential healthcare workers and volunteers at vaccination centers, and the chain is offering its employees an incentive to get the vaccine as well– four hours of paid time off to go get vaccinated.

Last year, the company gave away over 30 million donuts to healthcare workers, teachers, first responders, and graduating seniors at the beginning of the pandemic.

Some people already think Krispy Kreme’s COVID-19 promotion is a good idea, while others think Krispy Kreme may just be making the situation worse.

Who’s heading to Krispy Kreme now?

Cardi B’s ‘Up’ Is Now Her Fifth No. 1 Song On The Hot 100 Chart And She’s Beyond Excited

“Drivers License” has spent a lot of time at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this year, but its run is over now. Last week, Drake ended Olivia Rodrigo’s eight-week run on top with three songs in the top three spots, and yet again, there’s a new song at No. 1 this week. This time, on the Hot 100 chart dated March 27, Cardi B’s “Up” is up from its previous peak at No. 2 and has now taken the No. 1 spot for the first time.

“Up” is now Cardi’s fifth No. 1 hit, which extends her record for the most No. 1 songs by a female rapper. This also makes her the first female rapper with two No. 1 songs with no features on them (the first was “Bodak Yellow”). In the period between the week when “Bodak Yellow” went No. 1 in 2017 to now, Cardi is tied for the most No. 1 songs during that stretch, alongside Drake and Ariana Grande.

Another bit of trivia: “Up” is the second-shortest No. 1 song of all time in terms of song title length, with just two characters. The only No. 1 song shorter than it in name is Britney Spears’ “3.”

Cardi offered a quick reaction to the news, writing on Instagram, “I want God to come see me in my dreams when I take my nap today so I can kiss his feet and tell him how much I love him !!! Yoooooo sh*t is amazing yoooooo .I got no words .Actually I got a lot of words but I can’t type it all NUMBER 1!!!!!”

Ariana Grande And Saweetie Are Set To Feature On Demi Lovato’s Next Album

The last album fans got from Demi Lovato was 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me, and at the moment, the pop singer is in the midst of the largest between-albums gap of her career. She’s about to put an end to it, though, as she recently revealed that her next LP, Dancing With The Devil… The Art Of Starting Over, is set for release on April 2. There’s no tracklist yet, but Lovato has revealed a couple of big-time guests she managed to secure for the record.

A new profile on Lovato from Paper notes the album features a collaboration with Ariana Grande titled “Met Him Last Night.” Furthermore, there’s also a collab with Saweetie called “My GFs Are My BFs,” which is described as “a classic female empowerment anthem.”

In a recent livestream, Lovato explained that the album was initially titled just The Art Of Starting Over, but she later opted to add Dancing With The Devil to emphasize the importance of her upcoming documentary of the same name. Lovato said:

“If you listen to it track by track, if you follow the track listing, it’s kind of actually like the non-official soundtrack to the documentary. Because it really does follow my life over the past couple of years. When we went through the track listing and kind of mapped out how it kind of coincided with my life’s story, it made sense to add the more emotional stuff in the beginning and then transition into The Art Of Starting Over.”

Dancing With The Devil… The Art Of Starting Over is out 4/2 via Island. Pre-order it here.

Elgin Baylor Passes Away At 86

Elgin Baylor is a legendary basketball player who spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers organization. From their days in the mid-west to the west coast, Baylor was one of the most iconic players in the history of the franchise. On Monday, Baylor passed away due to natural causes as he was surrounded by his family.

The announcement was made on the Los Angeles Lakers website where his wife Elaine offered a touching tribute to the legend. Team owner Jeanie Buss also offered some kind words as she explained just how much Baylor means to the Lakers and everything they stand for as an organization.

“Elgin was THE superstar of his era – his many accolades speak to that,” Jeanie Buss wrote. “He was one of the few Lakers players whose career spanned from Minneapolis to Los Angeles. But more importantly he was a man of great integrity, even serving his country as a U.S. Army reservist, often playing for the Lakers only during his weekend pass. He is one of the all-time Lakers greats with his No. 22 jersey retired in the rafters and his statue standing guard in front of STAPLES Center. He will always be part of the Lakers legacy. On behalf of the entire Lakers family, I’d like to send my thoughts, prayers and condolences to Elaine and the Baylor family.”

While he never won a title, Baylor was able to make 10 All-NBA teams and was an all-star 11 times. He averaged 27.4 points per game throughout his career and he also notched 13.5 rebounds. He is a legendary superstar and we send our condolences to his family and friends during these difficult times.
