Rick Ross Admits To Passing Out During Sex Back When He Was Drinking Lean

Prior to getting his health in order, Rick Ross suffered scares that left his loved ones, and fans, concerned.  In 2018, it was reported that Ross had a seizure on a flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis, causing the pilot to issue an emergency landing. In his memoir Hurricanes, Ross recalled that his abuse of Lean caused him to lose some of his faculties, even defecating on himself while in bed with a woman. The rapper has gotten himself into the gym and has spoken about changing his habits in order to improve his health, but a story he shared with Big Boy’s Neighborhood in 2019 has resurfaced where the rapper spoke about passing out during sex.

In the clip, Ross and Big Boy speak about the rapper quitting lean because it was affecting his health. “I got to a point where I couldn’t do it no more,” said Rozay. “I had started falling asleep at the red light. I was having sex before, I woke up and the girl was like [screaming and crying],” he said while everyone laughed as Rozay imitated the frightened woman. He added that she was panicked because she believed he died in the middle of the act.

Everyone was able to make light of it as they imagined how the woman would tell her friends that she took out Rozay in bed. Revisit the 2019 interview below and check out the specific clip around the 26-minute mark.

Benny The Butcher Says He Jumped On A Plane For Potential Jay-Z Collab

Fresh off of the release of The Plugs I Met 2, Benny The Butcher still has fans itching for more music, whether it’s in the form of a new project or guest verses. The rapper recently revealed that the Drake collaboration is still set to be released in the future, though he didn’t specify when. The Roc Nation signee has previously revealed his desire to work with Jay-Z which nearly came to fruition.

The rapper paid a visit to Bootleg Kev’s podcast where he discussed the possibilities of working with Jay-Z in the future. Kev described the potential collaboration as “inevitable” before adding that a verse from Hov isn’t something that everyone gets. “I asked him, though,” Benny admitted, “but that’s nothing you can really ask for, though.” He explained that Jay-Z is regularly available to him, and even if he doesn’t get a 16 from Hov, there’s always knowledge to be soaked up. “That deal at the NFL, I knew that before it happened. I was in the Roc Nation building. Someone said, ‘Watch what happens on Thursday.’ And then that Square shit happened,” he explained, revealing that his contract was signed just before Jay-Z announced the deal with the NFL.

“His door is open, you know what I’m sayin’? So, it’s a lot to be gained. I don’t want him to be feeling that… that type, ‘I just want the song’ ’cause it ain’t like that,” he continued, revealing that he reached out to Emory about getting the Jay-Z verse. “What did he say? What did Hov tell me? I think he was going out of town,” he said. “One time I flew out here. He had an idea of a song that he wanted to do with me and I flew out here to do a song with him but he was movin’ around and doin’ shit, you know what I’m sayin’? That’s the fuckin’ president times 10.”

Benny explained that he ended up missing Jay and never found out what the concept for the song would be but he said he’s honored that Hov even kept him in mind for a track. “If Hov get on a song with me, he gon’ give you an aesthetic of what he feel like the people want to hear on some street shit, I believe,” he said, explaining that he would want Jay-Z to come through with a verse similar to what he’d offer someone like Pusha T or Jeezy.

Roddy Ricch Shares Details On Next Album

“The Box” took over the globe, propelling Roddy Ricch to become hip-hop’s latest star. The success of the single, as well as his debut album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, made him Compton’s next-up, and he’s been carrying the torch with pride. However, the release of “Heartless” that he debuted at the Grammys offered a promising glimpse into his sophomore release.

During a recent interview with Complex, the rapper went into detail about the direction he’s heading next that he describes as “more vulnerable” than his previous work. “I’m going to bring fans into my world more,” he said of the project. “I’m learning the balance. Like, OK, I’m not on Instagram, so I feel like I’ve got to bring them into my life more so they can feel me a little more.”

He added that he’s striving to bring it “back to the basics.” “There are all the old fans I had when I first started rapping, and these new fans that I got since the big album and Grammys and everything. So I want to bridge the gap between my old fans and my new fans. That’s what I’m on a mission to do with this next situation that I’m working on,” he said.

He didn’t confirm whether the next project is a continuation of the Feed The Streets series, even though he and his team have been teasing the third installment as his next release. “I feel like when the streets is hungry, you just feed them,” he said about details on his next project.

Burna Boy Advocates For The Power Of Self-Belief In His Inspirational ’23’ Video

After being shut out at last year’s Grammy Awards, Nigerian superstar Burna Boy is officially a Grammy Award winner after taking home the statue for Best Global Music Album (Twice As Tall) at the 2021 63rd Annual Grammy Awards earlier this month. To celebrate, he has released the inspirational video for his Twice As Tall standout “23.”

Naturally taking inspiration from its iconic namesake, much of the “23” video revolves around the sport of basketball, as seen through the eyes of athletes who are ordinarily invisible: Black women. One of the players the video chooses to highlight is wheelchair-bound, but poses in front of a full case of trophies.

Other women who appear in the video are dancers, designers, and music producers — all fields where Black women are underrepresented — while Burna’s performance sequences play out before projected images of his own accomplishments. “The music make me feel I be Jordan,” he croons on the chorus, encouraging listeners to be the best they can through the life-changing power of self-belief. “Now I understand why them say aiye po gan” — “Now I understand why they say there’s enough space” — he says, highlighting how there is room for everyone to be successful.

Kodak Black Deletes His Instagram

Despite having been previously active on Instagram following his release from prison, it would appear that Kodak Black has since deleted his page entirely.

What initially began as a purge of all activity, as captured by a post from Akademiks, currently leads to a complete absence of Kodak’s IG page. It’s unclear as to what drove the young artist, who has been growing increasingly frustrated at a perceived lack of credit, to delete one of his most-frequented platforms.

Of course, Instagram alteration often tends to coincide with the release of new music, and many have been eagerly anticipating a new project from Kodak; his last release arrived in late 2018 with Dying To Live, a project that received acclaim upon its release. It’s also possible that he simply sought to escape from the public eye following the arrest of NBA YoungBoy, which happened to be among the last topics he discussed on his former page.

Though many will likely speculate on Kodak’s decision, it’s likely we’ll have to wait and see until the Floridian resurfaces. We can only hope that he’s turning his focus to the music, as many have been eager to see him picking up where he left off prior to his last incarceration. Stay tuned for further updates on Kodak’s mysterious Instagram deletion as the situation unfolds.
