On Friday night, a series of “chaotic” shootings transpired at the oceanfront of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Officers have since confirmed that 2 people are dead as a result of these shootings, and 8 more are seriously injured. According to Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul Neudigate, who conducted a short press hearing, shots were fired just after 11pm, and police were patrolling the area when they heard gunshots and found about 8 victims at “the original crime scene.”

While police were investigating the first shooting and transporting victims to the hospital, shots were fired about a block away, which resulted in “an individual being confronted by a uniform Virginia Beach police officer,” said Neudigate. This second shooting is supposedly related to the first and the confrontation was described as a “police intervention shooting.” 

It is unclear if the person confronted at the second crime scene was the original shooter. Additionally, a second person was shot and killed in a separate shooting nearby, which police do not believe is related to the first two. Another officer was also taken to the hospital after being hit by a car and sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. 

“What you can see is we have a very chaotic incident, a very chaotic night in the beach. Many different crime scenes,” explained Neudigate.No arrests have yet been made, but several people whose involvement is unclear are currently in police custody.

Chet Hanks has been a prominent personality on the internet, particularly for his Jamaican-accent antics that received mixed reviews from the audience. He’s remained relatively out of public scrutiny since he was confronted about the accent on Clubhouse back in December, sticking to his typical shirtless workout selfies. That changed yesterday (March 26) however, when he shared a video on his social media yesterday declaring it was going to be a “White Boy Summer,” setting off all types of reactions on Twitter.

Playing on Megan thee Stallion’s influential term “Hot Girl Summer,” the son of Oscar-award-winning actor Tom Hanks took to Instagram to offer his own take about what this summer’s slogan should be. “Hey guys, um, look I just wanted to tap in really quick, I got this feeling man” he began.

“That this summer, it’s about to be a White Boy Summer. You know, take it how you want. I’m not talking about Trump, NASCAR type white, you know,” he further explained. 

“I’m talking about you know, me, you know, Jon B, Jack Harlow type White Boy Summer. Let me know if you guys can vibe with that and you know, get ready,” he continued, referencing the Louisville rapper and the popular 90s singer. 

He finished, “Cause I am!” He penned in the caption of the video to further hone in his point, “Is it bout to be a White Boy Summer or am i trippin ??? Tag a REAL vanilla king #respectfully.”  

As you can probably already imagine, social media took no time to waste in roasting Chet. “I physically can not imagine Chet Hanks and Tom Hanks talking to each other,”  commented one user. 

Another hypothesized, “You will never convince me that Chet Hanks is anything but an elaborate prank designed by Hollywood execs to test the limits of Tom Hanks’ marketability.” Check out more reactions to Chet’s latest controversy and let us know what you think down in the comments. 

Former Washington Football Team and former LSU running back Derrius Guice has been accused of sexual assault by a 74-year-old woman by the name of Gloria Scott. In testimony on Friday, Scott harkened back to 2017 when she was doing security at a high school game that was played at the Superdome. As the story goes, Guice came up to her and grabbed at her private parts all while suggesting that they should leave and go have sex. The woman reprimanded him for his behavior and even reported him to LSU.

Scott says head coach Ed Orgeron knew about the allegations but refused to do anything about it and even tried to cover it up. As she said in the clip below, LSU hides their transgressions and to this day, she is traumatized by everything that went down.

“I had to come here today and let you all know that LSU hides a lot of things… This didn’t happen on the campus, but still it scarred me,” she said. Scott also said she was eventually transferred from her usual security spot ad that the whole ordeal was incredibly unjust.

Beyoncé has a lot to celebrate recently. The superstar-mogul became the most decorated woman in Grammy history a few weeks ago after earning her 28th award at this year’s ceremony. Additionally, the Lemonade mastermind’s Ivy Park venture with Adidas has the company banking on the hope that it will boost the company to similar heights that Kanye’s massive Yeezy collab did. Unfortunately, some overzealous thieves took it upon themselves to get into some of Queen Bey’s goldmine, making it off with $1 million worth of stolen goods.

According to TMZ, the 39-year-old Houston native’s storage units were broken into earlier this month on two separate occasions. Law enforcement officials tell the publication that Bey’s valuables were hit twice and the culprits made it off with her expensive handbags and dresses. 

The publication also reports that while the units were being rented out by her Parkwood Entertainment production company, the missing items all belonged to the powerhouse herself. 

Sources close to the situation say the thieves came back to the site within a week of their first visit and rummaged through three storage units housed in the same facility. They made it off with handbags, children’s toys, and photos belonging to one of Bey’s stylists. 

Mrs. Carter is the latest in a string of singer’s to have their storage units burglarized. The publication reports that these kinds of crimes are on the rise in the area, with thieves recently stealing clothes, family photos, and mementos from Miley Cyrus’ storage unit.

James Harden had a lot to prove this year following his exodus from the Houston Rockets. He has yet to win a title and hasn’t been back to the NBA Finals since his days with the Oklahoma City Thunder all the way back in 2012. In the end, Harden was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, who are easily one of the best teams in the league thanks to Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Over the past few games, both of these players have been out of the lineup, which has allowed Harden to truly shine. 

Last night, Harden did just that in a win against the Detroit Pistons. It was a close game but Harden was able to notch 44 points which were more than enough to secure the victory. Following the match, Harden spoke about his performance and how he deserves to be the MVP.

“Do I feel like I belong in it? I feel like I am the MVP,” James said. “I mean, it’s just that simple. I don’t want to be speaking individually on myself. I am just going to leave it at that.”

With guys like LeBron James and Kevin Durant injured, Harden is making a great case for himself and if he keeps performing like this, the NBA might just have to give him the trophy. A second MVP would certainly cement him as an all-time great.

Stipe Miocic has proven himself to be one of the best heavyweight fighters in the history of the UFC and at 38 years old, he has plenty of plans on his mind. Of course, Miocic will be fighting Francis Ngannou soon, however, it seems as though he is looking to get into the sport of boxing. While speaking to TMZ, Miocic claimed that he would be down to go up against Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury, who are set to fight each other soon.

“I would love [a boxing match w/ Fury or Joshua]. It would be just a different — get out of my comfort zone. Plus it’s a fight, anything can happen and I know I can make something happen,” Miocic said.

Miocic was asked about whether or not he would go up against Mike Tyson, although at this point, Miocic seems content with staying away from that specific challenge. Even with Tyson’s old age, Miocic isn’t looking for that kind of smoke.
