Lil Uzi Vert & JT Continue Their Strange Love Story

For months, people have been confused about the nature of Lil Uzi Vert and JT’s relationship. Are the two rappers dating? Or are they just trolling us into believing they are? They’ve had some strange moments on the internet, insulting each other before seemingly making up on multiple occasions. On Thursday, Uzi sent off a tweet about how he allegedly bought the rapper’s first-ever Birkin bag, which she later denied wasn’t shade, despite her fans thinking it was. That prompted a heated exchange between JT and her fans on Twitter before she closed out the night with another back-and-forth with her rumored beau.

“Turnt a hoe to a house wife,” wrote Uzi Vert in a since-deleted tweet. “Turnt a trick to my husband,” said JT, mirroring the post and keeping hers up. People reacted negatively to the posts, which got her to address the elephant in the room.

“Y’all use to be in the comments calling him adorable y’all just don’t like me or feel he suppose to be with a weirdo or white girl but nah he with me,” proudly declared JT. “A ghetto b*tch getting that rock Star check f*ck what y’all gotta say! Honestly.”

Do you think JT and Uzi make a nice couple? The world hasn’t seen much of them together, only paying attention when they’re bickering on social media, but they definitely seem to like each other.

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib Drop Off “Piñata Deluxe”

When it comes to the best albums of the past decade, it’s not uncommon to see Freddie Gibbs and Madlib’s collaboration album Piñata, originally released in 2014 and featuring appearances from Raekwon, Ab-Soul, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Meechy Darko, and many more. Now, with Gibbs’ acclaim and recognition at an all-time high, the rapper has come through with a substantial revisitation of the project with a five-disc Deluxe Edition.

While there isn’t exactly much in the way of new material, Piñata Deluxe features Freddie’s remix of Kanye West’s “No More Parties In L.A,” appropriately retitled as “Cocaine Parties.” In addition, disc two features bonus cuts and their instrumentals, disc three features an entirely instrumental version of Piñata, disc four includes the album as remixed by Alex Goose, and disc five features another dose of Alex Goose remixes. Not exactly new territory for Gibbs purists, but widening the scope of an artist’s streaming discography is never a bad thing. Should you be looking to revisit a modern classic, consider Piñata Deluxe as the perfect opportunity.

Lil Yachty On The Verge Of Tears After Quavo Plays Him New Migos Music

Three years have passed since the release of Culture II, and Migos fans are more than ready for the next installment in the acclaimed Culture trilogy. Culture III has recently been teased heavily by Offset and Quavo, but a concrete release date has yet to be given to fans. A few weeks ago, Quavo did go on record saying that the highly-anticipated album would be dropping in less than a month and a half, leaving fans hyped to hear new Migos, anxious about their next sonic direction, or somewhere in between.

In the early hours of this morning, it appears that Lil Yachty was actually getting an exclusive preview of new Migos music, and according to his early review, the extreme hype for Culture III is absolutely warranted. At 1:31 am, Lil Boat took to Twitter mid-listening session and expressed his excitement, saying, “Quavo is playing me new migos music and I could cry tears I’m so excited for there next album.”

Yachty being on the verge of tears due to sheer excitement is undoubtedly a great sign for the quality and sonic direction of Culture III. Does Lil Boat’s tweet make you any more excited for Migos’ impending album?

Tee Grizzley Continues The Saga With “Robbery Part 2”

Tee Grizzley is a man of many talents, and one of the most impressive tools in his kit remains his underrated storytelling ability. In fact, it’s part of what drew Timbaland to collaborate with the Detroit emcee in the first place. Today, Grizzley has come through to continue a prior saga with his new single “Robbery Part Two,” an explosive vignette that places the rapper directly in the midst of a bloody fray.

Insofar as a moral compass is concerned, Tee has no time for neither honor nor virtue. Instead, he uses brute force and intimidation to achieve his goals, yet his undeniable charisma makes it difficult to root against him. Even amidst the carnage, Tee Grizzley’s playful sense of macabre humor still shines through, though not at the expense of the tale’s urgency. What makes “Robbery Part 2” so enthralling is the fact that Tee isn’t speaking as an omniscient narrator, but rather the one directly driving the action.

Check out “Robbery Part Two” now.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Bitch get the fuck up and stop screaming, shut the fuck up
Where that n***a that you close to, you lie to me I’ma smoke you
Matter fact we bout to get the fuck on, I pulled up thought it was him and hit that boy in his dome

I’m like listen I know, but there’s somebody that you know that’s gotta go

Bobby Shmurda Admits He Only Started Caring About Music While In Prison

Bobby Shmurda is fresh out of the pen and he’s getting acclimated to his new reality as a free man. The New York rapper spent the last six years locked up on gang charges but, on Tuesday morning, he was released ten months earlier than expected, marking an incredible moment for hip-hop fans that have waited on his arrival for years

Now that he’s out, Bobby has been spending his time with his godchildren, his rapper peers Rowdy Rebel and Quavo, and of course, with the ladies. He shared his first twenty-four hours out with GQ’s Frazier Tharpe, telling the journalist about his experience in prison, his plans now that he’s out, and much more.

According to Thorpe’s recollection of the day, Bobby was joking in nature, laughing about how long his showers could be. “How long I got in the shower?” he asked his friends, no longer sure of how real-life worked. Most important, and much like he was while locked up, he’s in high spirits. “My spirit’s always gon’ be up. I used to sleep next to people who had 40 to life,” detailed Bobby. “People who’ve been in there for 30 years and haven’t laughed—I’d have them crying all day. When you got good energy, no matter where you at, you can bring a smile to someone’s face.”

While in jail, he learned how to get the best treatment. “I’m not saying jail is not going to break anybody. But usually, jail sh*t I don’t really care about,” he said. “Even though I’m locked up all the time, I still live good in jail. Since [I was] 12. You get the best treatment in jail when you get a job. Wanna shower five times a week instead of three? Get a job. Eat better? Get a job. More phone time? Get a job. But they kept firing my ass when they realized I was just doing it to stay on the phone.”

According to Bobby, he only realized how important music was to him while he was locked up, which begs the question how he was feeling when “Hot N***a” blew up. “I didn’t really care too much for it until I went to jail and I seen how the fans were loyal,” he said. “I can’t name a week that I didn’t see at least 10 [pieces] of fan mail, throughout the whole bid.” When asked what he was focused on pre-prison, Bobby admits that “money and b*tches” held a lot of importance to him.
