Nike LeBron 18 Low “LeBronold Palmer” Unveiled: Photos

LeBron James’ sneaker legacy continues to build with every season and just like with Michael Jordan, he will probably receive new silhouettes well after his retirement. As of right now, Nike has been making the most noise with the LeBron 18 Low, which has been receiving a steady stream of new colorways as of late. The latest of these models to be revealed has been dubbed “LeBronold Palmer” which is an obvious reference to the golfer Arnold Palmer.

As you can see in the images below, this shoe has a heavy tropical influence to it that could even remind you of Tommy Vercetti from GTA Vice City. With a neon yellow base, these kicks have some palm tree aesthetics underneath the surface, all while neon green and pink are also found throughout. Overall, this makes for a dope colorful shoe that will be perfect for anyone who wants to go out and flex on the basketball court this summer.

For now, the drop date for these is unknown, so be sure to keep it locked to HNHH as we will bring you all of the latest information. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the color scheme, in the comments below.

Lil Nas X Throws It Back In The New Video Game “Twerk Hero”

Earlier this week, Billboard revealed that Lil Nas X‘s new single “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” scored big in its first week, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Overtaking huge records like Justin Bieber’s Daniel Ceasar and Giveon-assisted “Peaches,” Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open,” and Cardi B’s “Up,” was no easy feat, but the controversy surrounding the demonic video for Lil Nas X’s new single as well as his controversial “Satan Shoes” collaboration with MSCHF likely helped propel the song to the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100.

In an effort to keep the momentum of “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” going, Lil Nas X has shared a new video game that’s inspired by the single’s music video. The virtual game, titled Twerk Hero, takes design cues from the popular Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution gaming franchises, but instead of pressing buttons or keys to advance throughout the game, users are tasked with making Lil Nas X twerk.

According to Uproxx, players are instructed to “grab the booty and hit the incoming temptations,” and throughout the gameplay, they will control a 3D model of Lil Nas X, facing backwards with his hands on his knees, in full twerk position. The better that you can make Lil Nas X shake his butt, the further you will advance in Twerk Hero.

Rod Wave Plays A Toned-Down Rendition Of ‘Tombstone’ On ‘The Tonight Show’

It’s been a strong week of firsts for Florida rapper Rod Wave. Earlier this week, Billboard confirmed his first No. 1 album, SoulFly, and Wednesday night, he made his late-night debut on The Tonight Show performing the emotive album single “Tombstone.”

The pre-recorded performance appears to take place at a boathouse on the Everglades, which provides a sparkling background as Rod and his band play a stripped-down, moody rendition of the reflective track. With just a piano and a trio of backup singers, Rod wrings every last drop of emotion from the heart-swelling single, wisely letting his voice — the true star of SoulFly — take center stage.

SoulFly — Rod’s third album after Ghetto Gospel and Pray 4 Love — reached No. 1 behind a massive streaming push, which included singles “Street Runner,” “Tombstone,” and the Polo G-featuring “Richer,” which accumulated the bulk of the streams on the album. Another likely factor was his placement on XXL’s 2020 Freshmen cover, exposing him to the wider audience that helped him make the jump from Pray 4 Love‘s No. 4 debut to SoulFly‘s chart-topping first week. One thing’s for sure: Rod Wave is now a bona fide star.

Lebron James & Maverick Carter To Produce “House Party” Reboot

Later this summer, the 1996 classic Space Jam starring Michael Jordan will get be the reboot treatment 25 years later, when the Lebron James-led Space Jam: A New Legacy hits theatres and HBO Max on July 16. However, Space Jam isn’t the only beloved film property that Lebron will be reviving. According to Deadline, Lebron James and Maverick Carter are set to produce a reboot of yet another classic 90s comedy.

The Spring Hill company, which is one of the video-production companies created by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, will be producing a new version of 1990’s House Party. The original film notably featured popular Hip-Hop groups like as Kid ‘n Play and Full Force, and it also starred now-reverred actors such as Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, and John Witherspoon.

According to Deadline, rising actors Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and Tosin Cole are in negotiations to lead the upcoming House Party reboot, and Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori, the Emmy-nominated writing duo behind FX’s sensational show Atlanta, have already written the script. Following in the footsteps of the original House Party, this reboot reportedly aims to find rising Hollywood stars to put front and center.

Not much else was revealed about the Lebron James and Maverick Carter-produced House Party reboot, but hopefully, Hip-Hop groups like Migos will have a chance to shine in the movie and, possibly, give Kid n’ Play’s iconic dance scene a run for its money. Stay tuned for details.

Tristan Thompson Puts Journalist From The Ringer On Blast

Throughout the course of an NBA season, it is always common for certain players to be the victims of pieces that paint them in a bad light. For instance, Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer recently came out and said that Tristan Thompson was no longer popular in the Celtics locker room and that his teammates weren’t really fans of him. This led to quite a bit of backlash on social media as numerous Celtics players came out and defended their new squad member.

Recently, Thompson was asked by reporters about O’Connor’s piece, and as you can imagine, he wasn’t a fan. Thompson was adamant that he has a great relationship with all of his teammates and that throughout his career, he has built himself a solid reputation.

“That guy, Kevin O’Connor — I don’t know if I should mention his name or not, because he doesn’t deserve my two cents, but I remember every name because I am like an elephant,” Thompson said. “So, with him saying I’m not liked in the locker room, that was funny, because that’s not the case. Why not mention my name? Especially with our team going through and up-and-down season like everyone is trying to say. So it makes sense to point out one of the better guys. But [Jaylen Brown] and Kemba [Walker] came in and had their tweet. Kemba doesn’t ever tweet and he tweeted that, and JB came and did the same thing. That guy just wanted clickbaits. You’re welcome, Kevin O’Connor, for using my name. Got you some more hits and some retweets.”

With the Celtics struggling at times this season, it shouldn’t be surprising that this kind of reporting was done. When a team has issues, a scapegoat is usually sought out, and in this instance, it just so happened to be Thompson.

Killer Mike Fondly Reminisces On DMX’s Legacy

With DMX remaining in the hospital as of this morning — his family has yet to issue a statement on his current health situation — many of his hip-hop peers have continued to celebrate the rapper’s incredible presence. Eminem, Busta Rhymes, The Ruff Ryders, and many more stepped up to offer words of encouragement, and today, TMZ caught up with Killer Mike for a few words on DMX’s legacy.

“His greatest legacy are his fifteen children,” begins Mike, acknowledging and praising DMX’s role as a father. “Musically, he has been an amazing man. I met DMX personally myself, me and my cousin. We gambled for like, eight grand. My cousin Jimmy skipped him for about five grand, I was on the side making his manager bet me for about three.” Judging from his tone and the glimmer in his eye, it’s clear that night is one on which he looks back fondly.

“The last time I saw him, he was singing Christmas Carols to a table in a Waffle House making everyone very happy,” continues Mike, sparking universal thoughts about DMX’s classic rendition of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. “He taught people that you can love through suffering. He taught people there is no shame in addiction because he was always honest about being in that place. And he taught people that there was no shame in being sensitive and vulnerable. He showed people publically that he loved God, and he has fifteen amazing beautiful people. I hope their father survives this, and travels a long journey with them.”

JT Gushes Over How Much Lil Uzi Vert Spoils Her: “Treating Me Like A Queen”

Despite the drama that the two can’t seem to fully escape from, JT and Lil Uzi Vert appear to be enjoying a loving relationship ever since they made things official earlier this year. The couple recently stepped out together, and although people have been dragging JT’s fashion choices and claiming that she has changed while dating Uzi, the City Girls rapper’s latest post proves that she is perfectly satisfied with her relationship nonetheless.

In her most recent post to Instagram, JT shows off a striking Louis Vuitton bag that Uzi gifted her, and she also left a long caption that expresses her appreciation for the Eternal Atake artist.

“Thanks for spoiling me,” the City Girls rapper writes, “treating me like a queen, the consistency, the things behind the scenes! You always doing your big one for me! Making it harder for the next exclusive lurkin.”

In response to JT’s gushy post, Lil Uzi Vert left a heartfelt comment in return, writing, “Your friendship and love is worth more than ALL THIS STUFF…Thank you . just thank you.”

Yung Miami also left a comment on JT’s post, dispelling any rumors that there are any issues or disagreements threatening the City Girls’ chemistry. Although Yung Miami’s response to the post simply consisted of two fire emojis, it showed that she is still supportive of her fellow City Girl.

Trippie Redd Flaunts The Lil Nas X “Satan Shoes”

The sale of Lil Nas X’s “Satan Shoe” collaboration with MSCHF may have been temporarily blocked by Nike, which has gone to great lengths to disassociate itself from the Satanic-inspired sneakers. The shoes have been the talk of the town for a few weeks. They were released as a promotional tool to push Lil Nas X’s new single “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)”, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The song’s video features a scene where the rapper twerks on the devil’s lap, which angered the masses on Twitter. The sneakers arguably caused even more rage though.

It’s pretty difficult for the average consumer to get their hands on a pair of the highly sought-after “Satan Shoes”, which retailed for over $1,000. However, a few celebrities have been showing off their pairs, including Miley Cyrus and Trippie Redd. Miley flexed with the kicks, which feature a single drop of human blood in the air bubble and lots of Satanic imagery, sharing pictures on Instagram and making way for Trippie Redd to slide through in them.

“On my wavy sh*t, you know what I’m sayin’?” exclaimed Trippie Redd on Instagram, wearing a black hoodie with devil horns on the hood and pairing them with the much-discussed “Satan Shoes”. “Shout out gang, though,” he added, focusing on his kicks. “Shout out Nas, my n***a. #1 gang.”

Trippie Redd has previously sported inverted crosses and the number “666”, sparking rumors that he might also be a Satanist. With that said, it’s not all too surprising that the rapper has a pair of these shoes in his closet. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert, two other rappers that have brought on similar controversies, pop up wearing these eventually.

Do you think Trippie wears them well?

Logic Hints At Coming Out Of Retirement On A New Song, ‘Tired In Malibu’

Last summer, Logic released No Pressure, which ended up being his final album before he announced his retirement from music and his pivot to streaming on Twitch. Now, though, the (former?) rapper suggests that he might make a return to music on a short new song he shared yesterday, “Tired In Malibu.”

The song runs for just a minute, and after some lines about Elon Musk, Animorphs, and wrestling, he concludes, “Retired for a minute, but I guess I’m back, man.”

Back in July, Logic explained why he decided to retire, saying, “I just wanted to retire because I’m over it man. Not even in a negative way, I’m just over it. I love music and I’m gonna continue to make music on my own. I can’t not just make music. It’s a journal for me. It’s how I express myself. It’s how I heal, but with Logic, I’m stepping away. And the thing is, too, I’m not trying to make it this big show like, ‘Oh my God,’ because it’s not that deep. You either believe me or you don’t man. I don’t give a sh*t. I’m over here doing my thing.”
