JuJu Smith-Schuster “Likely” To Leave Steelers: Report

JuJu Smith-Schuster has been with the Pittsburgh Steelers for four seasons now and this time has been filled with some massive highs and some horrendous lows. In his first two seasons, Schuster proved to be a wide receiver with elite written all over him. He was the highest-performing wide receiver for the Steelers back in 2018, which led to a huge falling out between him and Antonio Brown. In 2019 Smith-Schuster had a career-low 552 receiving yards, which was improved upon last season as he got 831 yards.

Now, JuJu has a massive decision to make as he is officially a free agent who can go wherever he wants. According to NFL reporter Mike Garafolo, Smith-Schuster has apparently been telling his teammates that he will be gone soon and will sign elsewhere. Needless to say, this does not bode well for the Steelers.

The Steelers had a promising start last season although they quickly faltered and eventually lost in the playoffs of the Cleveland Browns. With Ben Roethlisberger on the decline, it makes sense that JuJu would want to go elsewhere, and catch passes from a quarterback who is still considered elite.

A decision will most likely be made soon, so keep it locked to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates from the NFL.

We can’t wait for this second release to hit our loyal 19 Crimes fan base and see how they Rosé with Snoop Cali Rosé. This is 19 Crimes’ first California rosé and we are already seeing high demand from our retail partners to get it in store as soon as we possibly can.”

Southside Was Arrested For Gun Possession After Being Pulled Over In Miami

808 Mafia producer Southside (real name Joshua Luellen) was arrested in Miami on firearms charges on Sunday, according to NBC Miami. He also received a charge of knowingly driving with a suspended license, which had been suspended since 2019.

Miami police reportedly noticed the “heavily tinted windshield” on his Mercedes-Benz SUV, pulling him over and discovering that the Georgia driver’s license he presented had been suspended for almost two years. The officers also saw two loaded handguns, for which he said he had a concealed carry license. However, concealed carry regulations require firearms to be inside the glovebox or a lockbox inside a vehicle, putting Southside in violation.

The arresting officer is noted as informing Southside of this, saying, “I advised Joshua that he was in violation of his CCW permit by having the firearms within reach and not secured in the glove box or encased in a box inside the vehicle.” A records check showed that this license was also suspended. Southside was booked into Miami-Dade Corrections Center and released on bond for $5,500.

Last week, Southside said that he was “throwing the towel in” on production after the next 808 Mafia project, saying that he wanted to focus on giving opportunities to young, up-and-coming producers instead.

Megan Thee Stallion Shuts Down Rumors That The Grammys Are ‘Rigged’

Megan Thee Stallion — who came away with a Best New Artist win at last night’s Grammys ceremony — doesn’t believe that the awards show is inherently rigged. While some stars, like The Weeknd and Lil Wayne, spent the last several weeks railing against the Recording Academy’s “unfair” selection practices, Megan had a far more philosophical outlook on the results of the voting. Stopped by TMZ at some point over the course of the evening, Megan gave a straightforward response to their question about whether she had advanced awareness of the results.

“I didn’t know sh*t,” she replied. “Hell no, the Grammys ain’t rigged. Bitch, you win some, you lose some.” Asked about the importance of the wins for women, she just threw out her standard response: “Real Hot Girl Sh*t!”

The Grammys’ “snub” of artists like The Weeknd in multiple categories — and the singer’s reactive boycott of last night’s ceremony — have only contributed to the feeling that the Grammys have become more of a “popularity contest” in recent years, despite efforts to become more inclusive. However, as Cardi B pointed out, plenty of artists were nominated despite lack of mainstream recognition.

While it’s easy for artists who miss out to chalk their losses up to conspiracies and agendas, the truth is, a voting body comprised of such a broad variety of music industry professionals can hardly be expected to agree on anything, even if more efforts are made to include atypical entries on ballots and shortlists — and artists, who by nature are “sensitive about our sh*t,” to paraphrase Erykah Badu, are exactly the type of folks to take their ommissions personally and resort so using social media to publicize their sour grapes.

You can watch the video of Megan responding to the question of whether the Grammys are rigged here.

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Fredo Bang Talks Staying Out Of Trouble & “Top” Remix With Lil Durk On “BagFuel”

Louisiana native Fredo Bang appeared on BagFuel, in the second of two episodes released todayto discuss his upcoming project in April, getting out of the streets, the “Top” remix with Lil Durk, and more.

The Southern hip-hop star rose to fame in 2018 with his debut single “Oouuh,” and signed to Def Jam records in 2019. The rapper’s debut album Most Hated, released in 2020, peaked at number 110 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Prior to his success, Fredo was often running legal trouble and served two years in jail on a second-degree murder charge. However, the rapper managed to reinvent himself, with his career fueling his new-found focus.

“I just rap. I do shows and I rap,” Fredo said of how he stays out of trouble these days. He continued letting everyone know that he has moved his focus to music and doing shows because he has nothing to prove to anyone anymore, in terms of being from the streets. In fact, he moved out of his hometown Baton Rouge and relocated to Miami to start his new life.

“I moved out of the city. I’m making legit money. I got goals and stuff to live for,” Fredo said in regards to his personal growth.

In light of these new goals and successful career moves, E$SO asked Fredo what’s next for the Def Jam signee, and the rapper said he is pushing to drop his album in the first month of April. He admitted the album was actually supposed to come out in March.

“This is probably gonna be the best project I’ve ever did,” Bang said. “From flows to just every part of my album, I always give something different.”

Recently, Fredo Bang dropped a remix of “Top” with Lil Durk, which he describes as a special song.

“As long as you’ve been through something and try to prevail, this song’s for you,” Fredo added.

The rapper revealed that his label pushed him to do a remix on the record, although he was originally apprehensive because he didn’t feel anyone else was right for the remix.

“The song is authentic, there’s real facts in there and I didn’t want to take away from the music,” Fredo said. “It’s always about the music first.”

However, one night Durk happened to be in the same area as him, so they went out to the club, and later that night both rappers wound up in the studio, the stars aligned, and Durk hopped on the “Top” remix.

“I feel like he had something to say, something to get off of his chest,” Fredo said of the session. “That was the only person I felt could deliver on that project.”

A-Rod Visits J. Lo In Dominican Republic Following Break-Up Rumors

After a weekend filled with back-and-forth rumors about the relationship status of A-Rod and Jennifer Lopez, it’s possible that things are looking up for the two. Rodriguez took to Instagram on Monday morning to show his location and leave a subliminal tag, both of which point directly to J. Lo.

A-Rod reportedly flew to the Dominican Republic where Jennifer Lopez is shooting a movie, and has been doing so for the past couple of weeks, despite breakup rumors. On his IG story A-Rod wrote, “Happy Monday. New week. New day. Onward. Upward,” while he panned over the surrounding pool and palm trees. In the bottom right corner, Rodriguez also apparently tried to hide J-Lo’s tag by only displaying the “at” symbol on the screen.

On Friday, rumors began to circulate that the power couple had split up after being engaged for two years.  Sources said the rumors stemmed from the two being in a bad place in their relationship.

On Saturday however, those rumors were denied by both A-Rod and J-Lo. Rodriguez was caught going into the gym by TMZ and told the media outlet, “I’m not single.” Lopez shut down the gossip with a video showing pictures of herself along with other headlines to Saweetie’s “Sweet B—- Freestyle.” J-Lo ends the video saying “dumb” eluding all the reports are false.

According to TMZ, the pair’s relationship issues does not involve a third person, after a cheating scandal broke out in February involving A-Rod and Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy.

The two look to be repairing their relationship amidst all the drama. Do you think they’ll patch things up?

Though he claimed that he had a permit to carry a concealed weapon, though the report indicates that it too was suspended. He was eventually arrested only to be released on a $5,500 bond. At this moment, it’s uncertain as to whether or not these new charges will bear any serious ramifications for the prolific 808 Mafia producer.

In other Southside news unrelated to legal matters — Sizzle recently teased his retirement from hip-hop following the release of the upcoming 808 Mafia album. “AFTER THIS 808mafia ALBUM IM DONE IM WHERE I WANNA BE IN LIFE AS A PRODUCER IM DONE JUST KNO THIS ALBUM IS GOING TO BE GREAT,” he wrote, in an Instagram announcement. “IM STILL GONE LEAD FOR THE CULTURE IM STILL GONE TRY TO PUT NEW PRODUCERS ON BUT AS A PRODUCER IM THROWING THE TOWEL IN AFTER THIS ALBUM I’m done.”
