Tristan Thompson Seeks $100K Judgment Against Woman Claiming Paternity

He may have admitted to wrongdoing in the past, but Tristan Thompson is willing to spend whatever is necessary to make sure his name is cleared this time around. The basketball star’s relationship with girlfriend Khloé Kardashian has been on the mend over the last two years following the Jordyn Woods scandal, but Thompson has recently been hit with a series of new allegations.

A new woman claims that she’s been with him, sexually, while he’s been in a relationship with Kardashian, and another woman, Kimberly Alexander, has been consistently calling him out online with claims that he’s the father of her son.

We’ve previously reported on Alexander stating that Thompson fathered her child, but he argues that he took a paternity test and it proved he didn’t. According to TMZ, last year, Thompson sued Alexander for libel and now, the sports star has filed court documents asking a judge to issue a default judgment against his accuser to the tune of $100K. It’s also reported that Thompson wants Alexander to be held responsible for “additional costs,” citing that she “seriously hurt his reputation.”

Thompson told the courts that Alexander’s allegations have not only disrupted his personal life but his professional one, as well. Because brands believed him to be a problematic athlete, some reportedly decided against working with him. Thompson has previously admitted that he did have a sexual encounter with Alexander, but it was allegedly many years ago before he was even in a relationship with Kardashian.

Alexander responded on Instagram by writing: “Bd you have a whole other scandal out here!!! But I wrecked ur pay!?? 80 mill doesn’t sound like I did[crying laughing emoji] Anyways @khloekardashian Please get ur man to take that second test his team kept denying [pouring tears crying emojis] What’s done in the dark will come to light[praying hands emoji].”

TMZ claims that Thompson’s default judgment request was denied because there were “issues” that needed to be fixed. Check out Alexander’s post below.

Erica Mena Threatened With Lawsuit By Woman She Says Has Her Stolen Items

A woman is denying claims that she was involved in the robbery that reportedly occurred at the home of Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena. Earlier today (May 18), we reported that Mena shared an image of the alleged thief holding up the recently purchased custom chain that Safaree designed of their daughter, Safire

“Unfortunately over the weekend my house was robbed,” the reality star wrote in the caption of her post. “There is now a $20,000 cash reward to anyone who can lead us in arresting all those involved. You can remain anonymous please DM me or Safaree.”

Later, Mena shared a photo of a woman she identified the woman as “Christy Mahone” and accused her of not only wearing her jewelry but having several of Mena’s stolen purses in her possession. Christy has denied the claims and now says she doesn’t feel safe at work after being called out online.

“All i have is my watch i just bought [eye roll emoji] & cheap as Tiffany jewelry,” wrote Christy on her Instagram Story. “[And] her purses [eye roll emoji] I have like 8purses [eye roll emoji] If we just paid 10k for the mansion and owe this man 7k for party damages what we look like stealing or me wearing any of your things , I DONT EVEN FOLLOW YOU OR YO DUDE . IM NOT INTO YALL LIFESTYLES , i HAVE MY OWN.”

Christy then threatened to take Mena to court and posted a video that showed she was on the phone with her attorney, “Lawyer Arie.” Meanwhile, the man who was reportedly flashing the stolen goods has been identified as Charles Garrett, or Charlee Famous, and while he reportedly denied being involved, Mena shared screenshots of posts he made admitting to the crime.

DJ Khaled Drops “Body In Motion” Video Ft. Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch & Bryson Tiller

DJ Khaled is fresh off of the release of his latest album, KHALED KHALED that brings a slew of stars together for a Blockbuster affair. Since it dropped in time for the summer, it only made sense that at least one of the music videos would find him in a silk shirt on a yacht somewhere.

Earlier today, DJ Khaled unveiled the official music video for “BODY IN MOTION.” While the song was practically created for the sake of being another summer anthem in Khaled’s catalog, the music video hones into the feeling even further. Khaled, Bryson Tiller, Lil Baby, and Roddy Ricch are warmed by bikini-clad models on a yacht. Joseph Khan, once again, directs the latest visual off of Khaled Khaled with stunning shots of Miami Beach and luxurious promotional shots of Ciroc.

Ruff Ryders Are Hosting A March To Honor DMX And Support The George Floyd Justice In Policing Act

The unexpected passing of DMX has led to a whole host of projects cropping up in his memory. Not only is his label releasing a guest-packed posthumous album, Exodus, later this month, but his crew the Ruff Ryders have been active about organizing, too. Ruff Ryders to The Rescue organized a march in Houston called Ryde4Lyfe that will honor his memory, as well collaborate with the Philonise and Keeta Floyd Institution, founded by the brother of George Floyd’s brother, to commemorate the life of George Floyd.

Additionally, the event hopes to raise awareness for the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act that’s before Congress. If you’re in Houston and able to attend the march, it will start this Saturday, May 22 in McGregor Park at 8 AM CST and finish at the Jack Yates High School.

Check out more information on the march in an Instagram post shared to the Ruff Ryders To The Rescue account:

Ruff Ryders 2 The Rescue is joining forces with Philonese & Keeta Floyd ‘Institute For Social Change for a game-changing ride event. Come out and support a monumental humanitarian cause! We are asking that everyone reach out to your local congressmen to ensure the vote to pass the “George Floyd Justice In Policing Act” In Congress. Our ride honors George Floyd & The Late Great DMX. For years, X has been the voice of strength, hope, and courage in the streets throughout the black community. Over the past decade, most of the Black culture has suffered behind police brutality without justice. We’ve watched countless viral videos of sisters and brothers senselessly beaten and gunned down by law enforcement. It’s time to end this cycle. We’re striving for the passing of this bill to help end police brutality in our culture and begin to hold law enforcement accountable. The ride out will take place on Saturday May 22nd at 8am CST in Houston and start at 5225 Calhoun Road and end at 3650 Alabama Street. The proceeds of the t-shirt will be donated to our campaign to end police brutality. Gear up, join us, and support a monumental humanitarian cause!

Drake Invests Into Plant-Based Chicken Company

Plant-based meat alternatives have been growing in popularity over the past few years, though it’s been largely beef alternatives that have been dominating. However, a company called Daring Foods Inc. that produces faux chicken is getting ready to make its own impact in vegetarian-friendly kitchens.

Daring Foods Inc. has raised $40M in its series B funding round which was led by D1 Capital Partners. Another more prominent figure among this round’s investors is Drake who is reportedly a vegetarian. The new round of funding will allow Daring to triple their distribution which already includes Costco and Krogers.

Drake’s business moves have been making headlines in recent times. Prior to the recent announcement of his backing of Daring Foods Inc., the rapper had reportedly invested in sports and entertainment start-up Overtime. Additionally, it was revealed that the rapper’s invested in an online Canadian financial app that was valued at $8B.

In related news, the rapper was recently announced as the recipient of Billboard’s Artist Of The Decade Award at the 2021 BBMA’s. In the last decade of his career, Drake has won 27 awards at the BBMAs and currently has the most awards out of any other artist in history. Needless to say, the honor is well-deserved. Hopefully, the award somehow leads to the release of his highly-anticipated next album Certified Lover Boy.

J. Cole’s “Amari” Samples A Lost Timbaland Beat From A Twitch Stream

J. Cole easily dropped off one of the best hip-hop albums of the year with his latest opus The Off-Season. The 12-track body of work is unlike his other offerings in many ways but it was his desire to work outside of his comfort zone that truly helped him take the project to another level. He enlisted heavy-hitting producers, along with top-tier rappers, to flesh out The Off-Season.

Among the many highlights on the project, it’s “Amari” that’s likely going to maintain a steady rotation in the coming months. Timbaland does have co-production credits but his involvement on the track was unconventional, to say the least. Apparently, J. Cole frequently seeks inspiration in Timbo’s Twitch streams which end up on YouTube. One particular video caught Cole’s attention but he was reluctant to reach out to Timbaland to ask for the beat, in case he never ended up using it.

“So I looped up the YouTube lil’ rip, made a whole song on this shit. I spent the next two days writing and recording the song, and right when I was 90% through writin’ it, I was like, I should probably call him now and get the real file,” Cole explained. “And I hit ’em. I was like, ‘Can you send me that beat you played on Twitch?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll send it to you. Which one?’ And I played him the beat and he was like, ‘I didn’t save that one.'”

Ultimately, he got Timbaland to remake it. Peep the clip below.

Jake Paul Wants To Fight 6ix9ine But Doesn’t Think He’d Show Up In Ring

Jake Paul has turned from YouTuber (I think) to internet celebrity infamy, with a controversial bump or two in the road along the way, as the man has focused his attention solely to the celebrity fighting circuit.

After knocking out Nate Robinson, Jake Paul returned to the ring recently to take another W, in his fight against Ben Askren, which ended in surprisingly fast manner. During all this time, there has been plenty of discussion, as well as suggestions, as to who Paul should fight next. Even Logan Paul, Jake Paul’s brother, has been thrown around as a suggestion. His brother is also due to fight Floyd Mayweather in June, and that’s yet another name that seems not entirely out of the question for the latter Paul to fight as welldespite (or perhaps in spite) the “gotcha hat” incident.

Nonetheless, Jake Paul’s next match has yet to be set, and thus, the general public, as well as fellow celebs, have been sending suggestions his way. Among the recent contenders, The Game put his own hat in the ring when he suggested that they square off in a street fight. At first, Jake responded with a confirmation that he would indeed knock The Game out if required, however, in his IG stories today, he’s shelved this potential fight, at least for now. When asked by fans whether he’d fight The Game, the boxer replied, “No I don’t assault grandpas like McGregor.”

Another proposed fight though, with 6ix9ine, found Jake Paul deliver a more elaborate answer as to why it might not happen, despite his clear desire to do so.

In response to the question “Do you fight 6ix9ine” (spelling errors have been removed, however poor language remains), Jake Paul replied:

“I want to because he deserves to get his ass beat and I want to do it for all the people he’s disrespected but honestly would be too easy and a 30 second fight and he wouldn’t show up in the ring on the day of the fight but yes I would love to knock him out.”

What do you think? Who should Jake Paul fight next? Take a look at our top five suggestions here.

Young Thug Says He Won $5,000 From Another Rapper Betting That Tekashi 69 Would Snitch

During Young Thug’s recent second appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, the Atlanta trap mad scientist covered a lot of topics, from clearing the air regarding his Jay-Z Verzuz comments to recalling a bet he made with a peer over whether the notorious Tekashi 69 would testify against his former comrades in the Nine Trey Bloods set.

It turns out, it was a pretty safe, “friendly” bet (in Young Thug’s words), as Tekashi did eventually end up testifying for a reduced sentence — a move that benefitted him personally, but left him essentially persona non grata among rap peers who believe he violated street code. Although Thug himself doesn’t subscribe to this belief, he said he simply believes in loyalty and was brought up not to spill his friends’ secrets.

Detailing the bet itself, Thug refused to share who it was with (see above), but still shared enough to back up the story. “I can’t say his name, but I bet another rapper,” he recalled. “I don’t know where he from. I think the West Coast…. bet another rapper that 6ix9ine [would] tell before he told. I’m like, ‘He gon’ tell.’ Me and him bet a friendly $5,000…. I bet $5,000 that he’d tell and he bet $5,000 that nothing is gonna happen to him. I bet $5,000 that something was gonna happen to him, too. I don’t know why I had that belief. I really believed he gon’ think he gangsta, he gon’ try to step out, and somebody gon’ do somethin’. Even if it’s on some humble sh*t.”

Of course, to date, nothing serious has happened to Tekashi, although he’s kept up his trollish antics. Part of that may be due to the pandemic that shut down most public life over the past year and part of it may be due to the security guards he seemingly has around him at all times, but either way, it looks like Thug only gets to collect on half that bet for the time being. Considering he recently claimed to have lost nearly a million dollars in one night in Vegas, maybe he should consider leaving the gambling to the professionals.

Young Thug is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
