Clippers Slandered By NBA Twitter After Game 1 Loss To Mavs

Coming into the playoffs, the Los Angeles Clippers were favored to do big things. Near the end of the season, it felt like they were tanking to avoid the Los Angeles Lakers, and in the end, the strategy worked as they got the fourth seed and drew the Dallas Mavericks. Yesterday afternoon, the Clippers had an opportunity to take command of their first-round series against the Mavs and in the early going of the game, it really felt like they were going to come out on top.

However, in the second half, Luka Doncic of the Mavericks took complete control all while Kawhi Leonard was a non-factor. In the end, the Mavericks won the game and took an early series lead that should certainly concern the Clippers, moving forward.

The Clippers choked in the playoffs against the Nuggets last year and many have been wondering if they would do the same in 2021. Of course, one game does not make a series, however, fans are already getting their slander ready. NBA Twitter was an absolute minefield yesterday, with Clippers haters going off about how the team and franchise are full of frauds.

Fans love to overreact although you can’t help but laugh at some of the jokes that were made last night. These narratives surrounding the Clippers won’t go away until they start winning big games and as it stands, they have already put themselves in a hole.

Nicki Minaj Checks Cuban Doll For Butchering Her Lyrics

Last week, Nicki Minaj re-released her cherished mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty last week and the Barbz were ecstatic. For the first time ever, Nicki’s deep cuts from that project were available on streaming services but she upped the ante with an additional three tracks including “Seeing Green” ft. Lil Wayne and Drake. That song, specifically, has been the topic of conversation just off the strength of the Young Money rappers connecting on wax for the first time in a while.

Nicki sprinkled some international vibes on the project with a remix of Skillibeng’s massive hit record, “Crocodile Teeth” which has been making waves over the past few months. It certainly wasn’t the first time Nicki tapped into the dancehall market but it seems that her Patois-filled lyrics sparked confusion among her fanbase.

Cuban Doll took to Instagram where she dropped a thirst trap of sorts with a bar from Nicki’s verse “Crocodile Teeth” serving as the caption. “My type of gal wanna know da opps out,” she captioned the photo. Unfortunately, those aren’t the lyrics and Nicki caught the mistake early. The Queen rapper slid into the comment section where she corrected Cuban Doll with the correct lyrics. “Might tek a gyal man, I know da opps out,” Minaj wrote.

Cuban Doll edited the lyrics on the photo and kept it pushin’. Peep Nicki’s comment below.

J. Cole Scores Clean Jumper In Latest BAL Game: Watch

J. Cole has been playing in the newly formed Basketball Africa League over the past week and he has been making waves thanks to his spot on the Rwanda Patriots roster. He made his official debut just last week on Sunday, and in that match, he was able to get three points, three rebounds, and two assists. In his second game, Cole failed to score a single point although his defense was certainly enough to reward him with some playing time.

Last night, he got to play his third match with the team and at the end of the game, he had two points, one rebound, and one assist. Unfortunately, his team lost for the first time this season, although, in the clips below, you can see just how smooth Cole’s one and only bucket was.

Cole’s contract with the Patriots was for three to six games, although since the lower end of the deal has already passed, it seems like Cole will probably stay in Rwanda for a bit longer. The team has been adamant about giving him playing time, and so far, he’s steadily improved with each passing game.

Stay tuned for more updates from the world of hip-hop and basketball, as we will be sure to keep you informed.

Pooh Shiesty Mobs Out In Memphis On “See Me Comin”

It’s still Shiesty Season. The 1017 rapper became one of the most exciting new rappers in the game and his debut project certainly cemented that even further. On Friday, the rapper boosted the album with an additional four songs for the “spring deluxe.” Though Baby and Herbo both make appearances on the deluxe, some of the best moments are when Pooh Shiesty is on his own. On “See Me Comin,” Pooh Shiesty locks in over Bandplay and TP808’s glossy production with personal tales from the streets. At one point, Shiesty reflects on an incident where he was shot and Big 30 rushed him to the hospital.

The four new tracks on Shiesty Season (Deluxe) will definitely be keeping Shiesty in rotation in the months to come. What’s your favorite track off of the deluxe?

Quotable Lyrics
Cool to be runnin’ with them until you get caught out of bounds
I even got glue on my hands, I still can’t put these choppers down
These n***as backdoor on they man, remember that body, don’t even count
No you can’t relate to my pockets unless you broke ‘fore money counter

Kevin Durant Speaks On His First Playoff Game In Two Years

Back in 2019, Kevin Durant had an opportunity to win his third-straight NBA title with the Golden State Warriors. Unfortunately, injuries kept Durant out of the lineup, and despite returning to the NBA Finals in Game 5 against the Raptors, KD went down with an Achilles injury with left him out of basketball for a full year. In 2021, Durant returned to the Brooklyn Nets and he has been nothing short of amazing as his team is now favored to win it all.

Last night, the Nets made their playoffs debut against the Boston Celtics, and in the end, it was the Nets who came out on top despite a slow start. KD scored 32 points and 12 rebounds in the game, and it’s clear he was the first star. After the game, KD told reporters what it felt like to be back in the postseason.

“It’s always great playing this time of year… it felt great to be back out there among the best,” Durant explained. This Nets team boasts some of the best players in the NBA and for now, they seem like the clear favorites to come out of the East. If Durant continues to play this way, then there is no doubt that they will do just that.

Lamar Odom Taunts Aaron Carter Ahead Of Upcoming Fight

With celebrity boxing matches surging in popularity as of late, it’s no surprise that we are seeing some fights that truly have no business going down. Recently, the match many people have their eyes on is the one between Lamar Odom and Aaron Carter. Odom is the clear favorite in this fight as he has the obvious size advantage, while also having the luxury of being a former professional athlete. Meanwhile, Carter seems way overmatched here as he is a relatively small guy.

Regardless, both men are committed to making this fight happen and Odom is confident that it’s going to be some quick and easy money. In a short interview with TMZ, Odom noted that he has plans to finish the fight early and that at the end of the day, Carter does not stand a chance.

“It ain’t gon’ be a fight,” Odom said. “Probably, I would say the first minute,” Odom added when asked how long the fight would take. If you’re a betting man, putting your money on Odom seems like the smart thing to do although figuring out which round to bet on is probably going to be the hardest part.

Either way, the fight goes down on June 12th, just six days after Floyd Mayweather Vs. Logan Paul. If you’re in need of a boxing fix, June seems like a good month.
