Ron Suno Swags Out On His Haters On “YA MANS”

The sound of Brooklyn drill has influenced the rap game at large over the past few years but it’s no longer limited to the borough. Outside of Brooklyn, there are other pockets of New York City who’ve adapted the sound to their own success. Ron Suno, for example, is a Bronx native but his own strain of drill music has been steadily picking up over the months and soon, he’ll be unleashing his new project.

On Friday, the rapper unveiled another banger titled, “YA MANS.” The rapper’s emerges with sheer confidence over the eerie production that sits behind him while he talks his sh*t and flexes on his haters.

The latest offering from Ron Suno arrives after the release of his collaboration with Sheff G, “WINNERS.”

Quotable Lyrics
Money gon’ come at the first of the month
How could I lack when I purchase this gun?
I’m in the booth, make her work for the fun

Gucci Mane Introduces The New 1017 Signee

Gucci Mane’s 1017 label has been on a tear of late, with signees Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, and Big Scarr steadily delivering quality music. In Shiesty’s case, his recent Sheisty Season mixtape helped catapult him into mainstream stardom, with the Lil Durk-assisted “Back In Blood” standing out as one of the year’s definitive cut.

While a less ambitious mogul might have decided to ease off the gas for a moment, Gucci Mane is instead looking to double down and solidify his reign. Over the weekend, Big Guwop has come through to introduce the label’s new signee — Mississippi rapper BigWalkDog. “I just signed the hardest young ni*ga in Mississippi all my supporters welcome him and follow him now @bigwalkdog1,” captions Gucci, sharing a slip of the moment BigWalkDog received his official 1017 chain.

“If you support me follow my new artist @bigwalkdog1 he gone be a superstar,” added Guwop, alongside a picture of himself and his signee, who happens to be proudly sporting a “New 1017” t-shirt.

BigWalkDog shared a few words of his own, captioning “Guwop got me out the Trenches, 1017 the Pendent” on an IG post alongside his label boss. Keyshia Ka’oir also welcomed him to the label, while Timbaland appeared particularly enthused about the news; perhaps we’ll see Timbo reaching out to work with BigWalkDog in the future.

Should you be curious to check out what the rapper is all about, look no further than his recent single “Tyson” below. It should be exciting to see how this new chapter of his journey plays out, as all signs point to him being a welcome addition to Guwop’s impressive roster.

Deshaun Watson To Skip Texans’ OTAs, Still Plans On Being Traded

Deshaun Watson will not attend the Houston Texans’ organized team activities, which are scheduled to commence, Monday, and be held for the following three weeks. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Watson is still hoping to be trading from the organization despite pending lawsuits from dozens of women for sexual misconduct.

“#Texans star QB Deshaun Watson won’t attend OTAs and still wants to be traded, per sources,” Pelissero wrote Monday. “Watson has denied wrongdoing related to recent lawsuits, which have slowed the process of sorting out his future. But his position hasn’t changed: Watson wants out of Houston.”

ESPN’s Adam Schefter has previously reported that “people in league circles” do not expect Watson to play at all this season.

In the wake of Watson’s unclear future, the Texans drafted Stanford quarterback Davis Mills in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, this offseason.

As for potential punishment with regard to the sexual misconduct allegations, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell spoke about the league’s plans ahead of the draft: “We’re obviously following that and looking at that ourselves. There are important steps that we will be taking as part of out personal conduct policy. When we get to that point we will certainly make a decision.”

Asian Doll Is Now Being Managed By Polo G’s Mom

The career of Asian Doll has been at a standstill over the past few years. She inked a deal with Gucci Mane’s 1017 imprint that didn’t go as planned and in the past few years, she became more of a trending topic due to antics rather than music. However, it looks like she’s planning on changing that in the near future now that she’s enlisted a brand new manager with a familiar client.

Iconic XXXTentacion Portrait To Be Released As An NFT

New York photographer Aimos is releasing his iconic photograph of the late XXXTentacion as an NFT that will be sold at auction on May 25th. X uploaded the portrait to his Instagram in 2018.

The highly-coveted NFT will be released on the Blockparty marketplace.

“NFTs are a very exciting new medium for photographers,” Aimos said. “We now can create additional resources for young photographers and for those who aren’t as well-informed, and moving forward, we’re creating a system to give artists more opportunities. The end goal would be for photographers to be able to handle their business and to not be afraid of the threat of copyright or credit. NFTs solve this issue, and I’m thrilled to start this off by releasing my work on Blockparty.”

A portion of the proceeds from the auction will support #HalfTheStory, a non-profit organization that seeks to improve young people’s relationship with social media, through advocacy, education, and providing access to resources. It also supports the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

NFT’s have seen a boom in popularity in recent months with rap mogul Jay-Z recently making a massive $19 million investment into the movement. A series of unreleased XXXTentacion songs from SoundCloud have also been made into NFTs.

Charlamagne Tha God Apologizes To Kwame Brown

Charlamagne Tha God found himself receiving some heavy backlash in the past few days following comments that he made on Kwame Brown’s family. The controversial radio host attempted to come to Kwame Brown’s defense by sharing information on the former NBA star’s family on a nationally syndicated radio show. Kwame went off on Charlamagne on social media before Funk Flex and Kevin Hunter piled on.

Charlamagne went on The Breakfast Club this morning where he issued an apology to Kwame Brown and his family for “unintentionally triggering trauma.” “I want to apologize to Kwame Brown and Kwame Brown’s family. I want to apologize to his father Bill Brown and the family of Bill Brown,” he said after giving himself Donkey Of The Day. “Last week on the radio, in my attempt to defend a Charleston, South Carolina brother like myself, I revealed too much information about that man’s family.”

“Some things just don’t need to be said on the radio and they definitely don’t need to be said by me. When I look back on the way I communicated that, I communicated it all wrong,” he said. “And I unintentionally triggered trauma in a lot of folks I grew up with who I genuinely love. I’m sure I caused a lot of pain for not only Kwame Brown, but his family, especially his family in my hometown of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. You know how I know? Because I spoke to them.”

Check out Charlamagne’s apology below.
