Big Sean Discusses The Importance Of Mental Health & Wellness With Ebro Darden

After dropping the incredible Detroit 2 album last year and recently collaborating with Sada Baby on “Little While,” Big Sean definitely appears to be experiencing a high point in his storied music career, yet the Detroit artist also isn’t afraid to put his music to the side in order to discuss important issues.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Sean and his mother Myra Anderson recently launched a wellness video series that has already covered topics such as mindset, sleep/circadian rhythms, meditation, diet/exercise, and the emotional freedom technique (EFT). Continuing to advocate for positive mental health practices, Big Sean also recently stopped by Ebro Darden’s Apple Music series The Message to discuss a myriad of related topics. Check out some of the most noteworthy quotes below.

On the mental health and wellness video series that he produces with his mother:

I’ve been doing that with my mom. It was actually her idea because she been with me throughout the whole pandemic at my crib, and she sees the stuff that I have applied to my everyday life that helps me get through and helps me stay productive, stay inspired, stay active. Some of the stuff she’s taught me, some of the stuff I’ve learned on my own. But she was just like “Yo you gotta put people onto this, you gotta use your platform for not just music and all of that. She kept bugging me about it, it just made me be like… let’s just do it. Might as well just put the information out there for the people that can use it.

On the intentionality in his music:

I ain’t the same as I was when I was 21 and 22 putting out my first album. It’s a whole decade later, so if you stay the same and you ain’t changed, you ain’t growed, and that’s just kind of weird. I embraced the growth and all of that, but I also don’t want people to get it f***ed up that I really can, that the bars are still 100% there. I don’t want people playing with my name for sure. From 2017 to 2020 I was doing a lot of stuff for myself so my last album was me getting back into my groove. I don’t think I need a longer break like that anymore. I’m gonna keep going with the music and like I said we have some new music on the way now. But it’s a different level of just… consciousness to it… that’s all.

On the importance of learning positive mental health practices at a young age:

It’s really just health, bro. It really needs to be just like how they teach us about STDs and sex in health class, they need to make sure they teach us about how to deal with anxiety or how to breathe properly and all of that. It all should be together, because it’s all connected. It’s not like the head is separate from anything, it’s all together.

The Detroit 2 artist also speaks on topics such as meditation, manifestation, breathing, and DMX’s authenticity, so check out Big Sean’s full The Message appearance below.

50 Cent’s GF Cuban Link Shades Vivica A. Fox: “Respect Our Elders”

Vivica A. Fox called 50 Cent the “love of her life” during an interview this week with VladTV, which elicited reactions from the rap legend’s current girlfriend. Sarcastically posting a violin emoji in response to the claims, Cuban Link had more to say after the world-renowned actress continued to flaunt her past relationship with Fiddy, sharing a Flashback Friday picture with him.

“TGIF Dawlings! #FBF moments,” wrote Vivica as the caption to her post, rewinding to her past relationship with the gangster rapper. Much like with her previous snarky reply, Cuban Link went off after seeing the pictures, speaking out on Twitter.

“It’s giving menopause,” she wrote, joking that Vivica A. Fox must be feeling a little out of sorts today. “Y’all, how that Pooh shiesty song go again? .. My momma always told me stay outta grown folk business [face-palm emoji] see what I done started .. [violin emoji] smh.”

She wasn’t done there, loading up for a second round and queuing up another song on her speakers.

“Aye Maybach, play Maybach ft Future,” she added. “Leave me alone y’all. Stop y’all, let’s respect our elders!” She concluded by clarifying, “it’s all love.”

Some people are confused about why Cuban Link chose to age-shame Vivica A. Fox, especially considering her boyfriend is only ten years younger than Fox. Regardless, it seems like Cuban is having some fun with this. She’s clearly not concerned about losing her man. Do you think she’s solid with 50 Cent?

Air Jordan 4 Golf “Military Blue” Set To Drop Soon: Details

Michael Jordan has always been known for being an avid golfer and whenever he is on the course, you can be sure he is engaging in some friendly wagers. With the amount of time he spends on the course, it should come as no surprise that Jordan Brand has turned some of his most iconic shoes into sneakers made specifically for the course. Over the last couple of years, we have seen a large uptick in these models and the trend won’t be stopping anytime soon.

The latest iconic Jordan shoe to get the golf treatment is the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue.” This particular colorway was one of four OG Jordan 4 models and as you can see in the photoshop rendering from @zsneakerheadz, it looks pretty amazing. With its white upper and blue highlights, this is a shoe that will look great out on the golf course, and with the classy Jordan 4 aesthetics, you will definitely get a few looks from fellow golfers.

Of course, these are fairly niche although previous models have demonstrated that there is a significant demand for them. For now, this shoe is slated to release on September 3rd although this is subject to change. Keep it locked to HNHH for all of the latest updates from the sneaker world.

Russ Returns With New Song “Private” Featuring Rexx Life Raj

Keeping his weekly release campaign alive, Russ is back today with his 4th song in as many weeks. Following up last week’s “3:15 (Breathe)” release, the ATL rapper decides to come through today and share his latest offering “Private” featuring Rexx Life Raj.

Speaking on the track, the Atlanta based rapper revealed that he’s had this song for a long time and was planning to drop it after “Best on Earth” back in October 2019 but held off because that single blew up unexpectedly, thanks particularly to Rihanna. “this was the song I was gonna drop after Best On Earth but then it went nuts so I never got around to it…special one!!” he tweeted out along with the song.

The slow tempo record finds Russ showing off his versatility and switching up his flows & cadence over production from !llmind. Take a close listen and let us know what you think! Look for more music to be on the way.

Quotable Lyrics:

This is for me, it’s been one week, and I’m in love

We ain’t even flicked up, we be movin’ Harriett

Air Jordan 6 “Bordeaux” Rumored Release Date Revealed

One of the best decades for sneakers and fashion was the 90s. The early years of the decade were filled with colorful geometric shapes that made any outfit stand out. This was a look that was present on various Air Jordan models of the era, including the Air Jordan 7. One of the more popular colorways of that particular shoe was the “Bordeaux” offering which was known for its grey, black, and purple aesthetics. There were even some extra flourishes throughout the shoe, which gave it that 90s feel.

Now, the “Bordeaux” color scheme is coming to the Air Jordan 6, which in many respects is among the best Jordan silhouettes ever. As you can see in the Photoshop rendering below, the sneaker has the exact same look except this time around, it is simply transplanted onto a different silhouette. Everything about the original is here and if you are a longtime collector or just a fan of these colors, then you will certainly have to cop these.

As for the release date, these are rumored to be dropping on September 4th of this year in men’s and grade school sizes. Let us know what you think of this new model, in the comments below.

Did JAY-Z & Beyoncé Just Buy This $28 Million Car?

JAY-Z and Beyoncé already have a pretty snazzy car collection and it looks like they may have added the world’s most expensive automobile to their fleet. According to several sources, including Page Six, Daily Mail, and others, the ultra-wealthy couple is rumored to have commissioned a $28 million car from Rolls-Royce, which would be the world’s most expensive car.

This week, Rolls-Royce unveiled their most ambitious project to date, showing off the $28 million Boat Tail convertible. The vehicle was commissioned for a client that clearly enjoys some of the finer things in life, including chilled champagne and impromptu picnics, facilitating all that with a double refrigerator that quickly cools bottles to six degrees. The car is detailed in blue, which may be a nod to Hov and Bey’s daughter Blue Ivy. It was reportedly built for the Mediterranian backroads of the French Riviera, which is a popular destination for the Carters. The new whip also features two-sided his and hers timepieces.

The rumor mill is heating up with many suggesting that Beyoncé and JAY-Z scooped up this custom car. Considering the fact that this vehicle seems perfect for them, that may be true. However, they have not confirmed ownership of the car.

42 Dugg Reportedly Set To Take Plea Deal In Federal Gun Possession Case

It looks like 42 Dugg is on the verge of taking a plea deal for his gun possession case. According to DJ Vlad, the Detroit rapper is currently in negotiations with federal prosecutors in Georgia to work out a plea deal.

42 Dugg’s attorney confirmed the plea negotiations and added, “both parties are still hopeful that a resolution can be reached in the near future.” DJ Vlad added that Dugg, whose real name is Dion Hayes, will most likely be pleading guilty to a federal offense.

A evidentiary hearing was scheduled for May 24, but was postponed amid the plea agreement negotiations.

The charges stem from Dugg going to a gun range in November 2019, which earned him a federal charge of possessing a firearm as a felon. That charge could cost the rapper up to 10 years in federal prison.

Dugg remains on pre-trial release, which allows him to travel for business purposes. Typically in federal plea deals, a judge has the final say in determining his sentences, but prosecutors agree not to seek more than a pre-agreed prison term.

We’ll continue to keep you posted on this case moving forward. In the meantime, revisit his latest album, Free Dem Boyz, featuring Lil Durk, Future, Roddy Ricch and more.

Chris Paul’s Twitter Gets Hacked Leading To Obscene Messages

Chris Paul is one of the best players in the NBA and considering he is in the midst of a playoff run, there are a lot of eyes on him right now. Unfortunately, this can also lead to some compromising positions, especially when it comes to social media. In the past, we have seen numerous players get their Twitter accounts hacked and Paul was no exception on Thursday night as one person was able to get a hold of his page.

In the screengrabs shown below via Clutch Points, you can see some of the obscene tweets that were written throughout the hack. The hacker even tweeted out that CP3 owns “ADisney and LeMickey” which, of course, are nicknames for LeBron James and Anthony Davis. That tweet was fairly tame compared to the rest of the messages although it goes to show the ridiculousness that went on.

Eventually, the tweets stopped and now they seem to have been deleted. The only thing that remains from the hack is a couple of retweets that have yet to be undone by Paul or his social media team. Regardless, this is not what you want to be dealing with right now, especially after a devastating loss in Game 3, which now has the Lakers up 2-1 in the series.

Hopefully, Paul has changed his password to something truly indecipherable.

DMX Fans React To His Final Album With Celebratory Tweets

Today, DMX’s final album Exodus posthumously arrived nearly two months after his tragic death on April 7. To say that the Grand Champ was one of the most beloved figures in Hip-Hop is an understatement, and in the wake of his passing last month, every one from his family and close collaborators to longtime fans has expressed how difficult it has been to accept that X is gone.

However, with the release of Exodus today, it appears that DMX’s posthumous release has sparked a celebration of the late rapper’s unignorable talents.

Executive produced by Swizz Beatz, the 13-track record features legendary Hip-Hop artists such Nas, Jay-Z, and The LOX, as well as some of the best rappers currently out, including Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, and Moneybagg Yo. In addition to all of those high-profile collaborations, DMX’s son Exodus Simmons is also featured on the project, and in true DMX fashion, Exodus concludes with a passionate and moving prayer.

As previously mentioned, DMX fans seem to be thoroughly enjoying Exodus, so take a look at some of their Twitter reactions below.

Rest in peace, DMX!

Silk Sonic Bring Their Throwback Hit ‘Leave The Door Open’ To The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Currently, Silk Sonic (the duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) has just one song, “Leave The Door Open.” (Well, two if you count the minute-long “Silk Sonic Intro.”) So far, though, that’s all they’ve needed: The song has peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a height the single achieved again a couple weeks ago. So, at least for the moment, Silk Sonic is a one-trick pony, but what a trick it is. They trotted it out again last night for a performance at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards and the song still makes an impact: Silk Sonic was trending on Twitter following their performance, even still the morning after.

Last night’s performance was similar in nature to their previous live renditions of the tune, featuring .Paak and Mars accompanied by backing singers as they all bust out soulful throwback vibes.

Although the duo currently only has one single, they’ve actually performed more than just “Leave The Door Open” live: At the Grammys in March, .Paak and Mars performed a medley of Little Richard songs in honor of the late legend.
