Alina Baraz Drops Intimate “Alone With You”

R&B singer Alina Baraz made waves in 2020 with the release of her debut album It Was Divine, featuring collaborations with Nas, Smino, 6LACK, and Khalid. The emerging singer certainly proved herself as a force to be reckoned with, though largely stayed out of the spotlight this year. However, after linking up with UnitedMasters and becoming an independent artist, Baraz has finally treated fans to a new track with the passionate “Alone with You.”

“Alone with You” feels as intimate as the title suggests, with lush production and a gentle lead melody from Baraz. The track finds Baraz in the peak of a carefree relationship, finding that she’s “home with you,/ no matter the place.” Whether they’re just going for a drive or dancing, there’s no place Baraz would rather be.

Baraz’s voice is definitely a showstopper on the track as well with it’s airiness and pleasant tone. Whether you’re in a similar relationship or seeking one, “Alone With You” is certain to set the mood.

Alone with you
That’s all that it take
I’m home with you

Warriors Superstars Reportedly Pushing For Bradley Beal Trade

These past couple of years have been incredibly difficult for the Golden State Warriors as their team has faced significant injuries to its best players. Klay Thompson has been particularly dealt a rough hand as he tore his ACL in the 2019 Finals and even tore his Achilles in training camp prior to the 2020-2021 season. As a result, the Warriors haven’t seen the postseason since 2019 and fans are starting to get worried about the future of the franchise.

Thompson is expected to be back this season although it appears as though the Warriors aren’t happy with keeping the roster the same. There have been rumors that the Warriors want to get rid of guys like James Wiseman and that they even want to shop their seventh overall pick in the draft.

In a new report from The Athletic, it was revealed that Steph Curry, Thompson, and even Draymond Green are urging the Warriors front office to make a trade for Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal, as they believe he could fix a lot of their problems.

Per The Athletic:

“The Warriors’ trio of stars — Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson — have made it clear to management they want the franchise to focus on the pursuit of a championship, even to consider using their two lottery picks to get someone who can help immediately, sources confirmed. Warriors general manager Bob Myers said their goal this offseason is to add more of a veteran presence.

Should the Warriors go that route, Beal, the Washington Wizards’ guard who made third-team All-NBA, is deemed to be the best player and best fit for the Warriors among the players who could potentially be available this offseason.”

Acquiring a player like Beal isn’t going to be easy, especially when you consider how the star has yet to announce any sort of ill will towards the Wizards franchise. As it stands, Beal wants to remain a Wizard and until that changes, the Warriors can forget adding him to the roster in any capacity.

With the NBA offseason just around the corner, keep it locked to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest news and updates.

Russ Takes His Girl Around The World On “Lake Como”

It seems like every week Russ fans are surprised by the singer/rapper’s relentless grind, and every following week that same feeling of amazement returns. “Lake Como,” today’s release, marks the 12th weekly single in a row that Russ has dropped. While the string of releases stretch all the way back to early May, it seems Russ has been prioritizing both quantity and quality, and “Lake Como” is no exception to this rule. The atmospheric love song is a slow vibe and finds Russ more relaxed than the more aggressive singles he’s released recently.

The instrumental on “Lake Como” introduces the track and becomes a highlight throughout the song. Russ’s production has improved significantly over the years and the gentle, yet spacey layers on “Lake Como” exhibit this talent.

Russ breaks out his singing voice on the new track with some pretty impressive melodies and refrains. Though some of his vocal sounds can sound strained or muffled, his overall performance is compelling as he sings about taking his girl around the world.

Do you think “Lake Como” is a standout among Russ’ new releases? Hopefully, next week will bring a second helping.

Check the song out below.

Quotable Lyrics

Let’s go shop in Paris this ain’t SoHo
I know it’s your dream to come with me and see Lake Como
I’mma make it happen
Villa on the water we relaxin’
I might be in love with you

Ransom & Big Ghost LTD Unite For “Heavy Is The Head”

Ransom is shaping up to be one of 2021’s lyrical MVPs, having already laid some clever conceptual groundwork on the sinful Se7en project. Now, the bar-spitter has returned with another new album, Heavy Is The Head, this time teaming up with producer Big Ghost LTD for the entire run. Insofar as guest appearances, we’re looking at Mickey Factz, RJ Payne, Ill Bill, Vinnie Paz, Rome Streetz, and more.

Evidently, Ransom isn’t the only artist on a hot streak; earlier this year, Big Ghost provided a solid backdrop for Conway The Machine’s If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed, a grimy highlight that might have slipped your radar. He’s back in fine form here, buying into Ransom’s Game Of Thrones-inspired penmanship and blessing him with some thoroughly filthy production backdrops. For those with an ear to the streets, perhaps there’s even a case to be made that Big Ghost is putting in some of the underground circuit’s best work — what do you think?

Lyrically, Ransom has always ensured that his bars are his primary draw. Here, he transports listeners directly to the world of Westeros for a trial by combat, delivered with the visceral intensity of The Hound’s scrap with Brienne Of Tarth. Many of the song’s titles — “Red Wedding,” “Lord Stark,” and “Blackwater” among others — are direct allusions to George R.R. Martin’s beloved series.

While Ransom’s intellectual mind does give his bars a literary quality, his battle-ready delivery that he’s more soldier than scholar. Any fan of bars should queue this one up post haste, and sound off in the comments with your thoughts below.

Yung Bleu & H.E.R. Stun On Romantic “Tired Of You”

Yung Bleu’s versatility have made him a force to be reckoned with in 2020 and 2021. R&B cuts like “You’re Mines Still” featuring Drake and trap bangers like “Angels Never Cry” with Moneybagg Yo and Kodak Black have proved he can manifest whichever vibe he chooses. Well, the Alabama singer/rapper has outdone himself again with “Tired of You” featuring H.E.R. off of his new Moon Boy album. With the direction of H.E.R.’s beautiful voice and elegant melody, the duo secure themselves and romantic slow jam for the Summer.

H.E.R. dominates as her verse and chorus introduce the song. Her passionate and expressive hook makes the track instantly catchy while retaining the intimate ties the song gives off. The track finds H.E.R in an exacerbated state– trying separately to stop returning to an old lover, yet failing.

The track truly highlights the two singer’s vocal riffs with only a repeating guitar loop in the background. Yung Bleu proves himself as a worthy collaborator with the contemporary Queen of R&B with his own pleasant interpolation of her flow. He takes a more sensual approach to his lyrics, adding to the intimacy and passion of the track.

“Tired of You” is certainly a powerhouse of an R&B song, and a highlight of Moon Boy and Yung Bleu’s slower tracks thus far. With H.E.R’s R&B know-how and Yung Bleu’s versatility, the song will certainly make rounds on couple’s and lonely hearts playlists this Summer.

Cleveland MLB Team Unveils New Name And Logo, Fans React

Over the last few years, there has been a heavy discourse in the sports world about certain nicknames that impact the Native American community. Names like the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians have been labeled as racist and insensitive, which has led these respective teams to denounce their names and make a change. While the Washington Football Team is still taking its time to announce a new name, the Cleveland Indians have been proactive with their hunt for a new and improved nickname.

Fans have been waiting to see the new name and logo for quite some time, and today, the team came through as it posted a video to Twitter with the new name and various logos that fans can expect to see once the 2022 season comes into effect.

As you can see down below, the new name of the team is the “Guardians.” There are four distinct logos to be found here although the most significant one is a G with wings and a baseball in the midst of it. Overall, it is a unique design and it is a name that isn’t currently being used by any other professional sports teams.

In typical Twitter fashion, the responses to the new name and logos have been mixed, although there are quite a few people who are impressed with the new direction. Amid the positivity, there are still those who feel like the name change wasn’t necessary. In the grand scheme of things, the name change is a positive one for the franchise, and it is certainly appreciated by the communities harmed by the previous name.

Let us know what you think of the new name and logo, in the poll and comments below.

Leon Bridges Busts A Move In A Slick New Video For ‘Steam’

Leon Bridges‘ third album Gold-Diggers Sound is out today, and to celebrate, the Texas soul luminary is releasing a video for album single “Steam.” On top of being a silky-smooth song, “Steam” has Bridges in full-on groove mode.
