Elon Musk Takes Fan Pitches For Sketches To Air On His “SNL” Episode

Founder of SpaceX and CEO of Tesla Elon Musk is set to host next weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live and the tech magnate fielded ideas for potential sketches on Twitter, Saturday.

“Throwing out some skit ideas for SNL. What should I do?” Musk wrote to his followers.

Ideas from Musk included “Irony Man” who “defeats villains using the power of irony.”

Another one of his ideas was “Baby Shark & Shark Tank merge to form Baby Shark Tank.”

One fan recommended “Summin about The DOGEFATHER,” to which Musk replied, “Definitely.”

“Woke James Bond” is another idea Musk flirted with.

Last week, the SpaceX founder discussed his ambitions for colonizing Mars but admitted that many people will likely die in the process.

“You might die, it’s going to be uncomfortable and probably won’t have good food,” Musk said. He added that it will be an “arduous and dangerous journey where you may not come back alive.”

“Honestly, a bunch of people will probably die in the beginning,” he continued, but insisted it would also be “a glorious adventure and it will be an amazing experience.”

Musk’s SNL episode is set to air on May 8th.

Jack Harlow Was Just Feet Away From A Deadly Louisville Nightclub Shooting

While coronavirus remains a top issue in the United States, the threat of deadly gun violence has been another problem the country faces amid a number of deadly shootings over the past couple of months, especially at public events. A recent example of this came on Friday at a Lousiville nightclub that rapper Jack Harlow was attending. Harlow was just feet away from a deadly shooting at the venue, an incident that was captured through a video provided by TMZ.

Harlow, who is from the Louisville area, stopped by the city’s Ultra Lounge to attend a party in honor of the Kentucky Derby. In the video, the rapper can be seen near the stage seemingly enjoying the night when a fight breaks out not too far from him. What started as a vocal dispute quickly turned physical and a short moment later, a gunshot could be heard which sparks immediate chaos as attendees — including Harlow — make a run for safety. Luckily for the Louisville rapper, he made it out of the venue untouched but the incident unfortunately left one woman dead and sent another man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This happened a week after a shooting occurred at Lil Durk’s Smurkchella concert in Pheonix, AZ. This incident left one woman injured after a bullet grazed her leg. To watch TMZ’s video of the Louisville shooting, click here.

Jack Harlow is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Brian Tyree Henry Discusses Filming “Atlanta” For First Time In 3 Years

Atlanta star Brian Tyree Henry discussed filming season 3 of the beloved FX series in London, three years after the last time the crew shot together, during an interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

“You know, we haven’t shot together in almost three years, so all of us have gone and branched off and done our own things, but we’ve always stayed in touch,” Henry said. “Like nonstop, we check in on one another. But to finally be back together, and to be back in the shoes of these characters, is just completely— it’s like a weird ‘Twilight Zone’ episode, because you’re like, ‘Do I still remember what Alfred went through?’ You’re just finding it out together.”

Donald Glover recently revealed that season 3 of the series had begun filming with a cast photo on Instagram, which he captioned “‘Day 0’ S3 ATL.”

Henry also spoke about how the cast has stayed in touch with a group chat they set up when the show first began filming. They recently joked about LaKeith Stanfield’s jumpsuit at the Oscars.

“The jumpsuit that saved the world,” Henry said. “And we just are always on there talking to each other and checking in. In that aspect, it felt like we had never parted.”

Henry has appeared in a number of new roles since the last time Atlanta was on air including JokerIf Beale Street Could TalkWidows, and more.

Irv Gotti has apologized after facing a wave of backlash for saying that DMX died from an overdose on “bad crack,” during an interview with Chicago’s WCGI. The co-founder of Murder Inc. discussed his love for the late rapper with a lengthy statement on Instagram.

“1st off. Let me say again. How much I love my n***a X. The fact that this is coming into Question is the only reason why I feel the need to address the bullshit,” Gotti wrote in his post. “I love X and love him Unconditionally and that won’t change til I die. Dog Love.”

He continued:

Now Everything I said. Had already been reported in the media. If you look back at @balleralert and @theshaderoom and other media outlets. everything I said had been out there already. I did not break anything I said. But you know what. I understand. No one wanted to hear it from me. And for that I am truly sorry.

Even 50 Cent came out to admonish Gotti for his comments, calling him an “idiot.”

“Again. I apologize for talking out of turn,” Gotti added. “In my defense. I honestly thought I wasn’t saying anything that everyone didn’t hear already. If anyone thinks the love I have for X is nothing but genuine unconditional love. Just look at our history. Really look at it. And there is no way you can think that. Love you X. Until I die and see you again. “

LeBron James Admits He May Never Return To 100% After Ankle Injury

Lakers star LeBron James admitted that he is worried he will never return to 100 percent in his career, after suffering an ankle injury back in March and returning to the court, Friday night.

“It’s been urgency for me to get back ever since I got injured. So, that’s just who I am,” James told reporters. “You guys could have seen the logging of the minutes and hours per day that I was doing as far as rehab and treatment; it was a lot more than I slept. So, over the last six weeks, that’s all I’ve been doing, is having an urgency to get back and play.”

He added: “I knew I wasn’t going to get back to 100 percent. It’s impossible. I don’t think I will ever get back to 100 percent in my career.”

James performed well in his highly anticipated return, recording 16 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds in a 110-106 loss to the Sacramento Kings.

James’ superstar teammate, Anthony Davis, who was out for considerable time with a calf injury, returned to the Lakers’ lineup on April 22nd.

The Lakers are currently 36-27 and in fifth place in the Western Conference Standings. The return of both James and Davis will be a big help as they finish out the regular season.

DMX sat down with our team and was completely UNCENSORED. We have one hour with the late rapper in his own words. For DMX to be with us just three weeks before God called him home, I believe it’s truly divine intervention. I thank Nikki from SWIRL films for staying the course because he kept telling her ‘no’, but thankfully we were able to make it happen. His family, fan club, friends, and supporters will be happy with the way he told his story for the last time. The two-part special will air directly before the annual Urban One Honors. I’m particularly excited because I feel like this will be the biggest night in TV One History.

Conservative media outlet Newsmax has issued a lengthy statement apologizing to Dominion Voting Systems and their security director, Eric Coomer, for their coverage of the 2020 Presidential Election, the results of which they routinely questioned the legitimacy of. Newsmax added that they have “found no evidence” that any of the previous allegations were true.

“Newsmax has found no evidence that Dr. Coomer interfered with Dominion voting machines or voting software in any way, nor that Dr. Coomer ever claimed to have done so,” the outlet said in a statement. “Nor has Newsmax found any evidence that Dr. Coomer ever participated in any conversation with members of ‘Antifa,’ nor that he was directly involved with any partisan political organization.”

“Newsmax would like to clarify its coverage of Dr. Coomer and note that while Newsmax initially covered claims by President Trump’s lawyers, supporters and others that Dr. Coomer played a role in manipulating Dominion voting machines, Dominion voting software, and the final vote counts in the 2020 presidential election, Newsmax subsequently found no evidence that such allegations were true,” they continued.

In the wake of the statement, Coomer has removed Newsmax from a defamation suit which also names the Trump Campaign, Rudy Giuliani, Sydney Powell, One America News Network, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, and others.

“Many of the states whose results were contested by the Trump campaign after the November 2020 election have conducted extensive recounts and audits, and each of these states certified the results as legal and final.”

“People In League Circles” Say Deshaun Watson Will Not Play In 2021: Report

Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson is unlikely to play this season, “people in league circles” have told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Watson is currently facing allegations of sexual assault and misconduct from 22 different women who have all filed civil lawsuits in recent months.

“There are people in league circles who believe Deshaun Watson will not play this season,” Schefter reported Saturday. “There are people who believe his career in Houston is over.”

In wake of the situation regarding Watson, the Texans used their third round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft to acquire Stanford quarterback Davis Mills, Friday.

“We’re obviously following that and looking at that ourselves,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said ahead of the Draft. “There are important steps that we will be taking as part of out personal conduct policy. When we get to that point we will certainly make a decision.”

In addition to the sexual misconduct allegations, Watson previously requested a trade back in January. Despite leading the league in passing yards with 4,823, Watson could only carry the Texans to a 4-12 record. Additionally, Will Fuller V and JJ Watt moved on from the organization after the season.

Veteran QB Tyrod Taylor also joined the Texans on a one-year deal in March.
