Rubi Rose Exposes DDG: “He Wants To Chase Prostitutes”

We’ve seen lots of high-profile toxic relationships this year already. This past weekend, Saweetie called out Quavo for allegedly cheating on her with multiple women. Yaya Mayweather has also been running around for months, claiming Youngboy Never Broke Again despite the rapper seemingly wanting nothing to do with her anymore. But Rubi Rose and DDG might have taken the cake as the most toxic couple of 2021.

After admitting that they had a “whole situation” going on in January, DDG declared himself “single” on Valentine’s Day, eliciting a “Yikes” reaction from Rubi Rose. The status of their relationship has been unclear since then but, following the release of DDG’s collaborative project with OG Parker, Rubi felt like exposing the rapper for allegedly posting some videos and photos on her account to make it seem as though they were still together.

This week, Rubi Rose posted a picture of her holding hands with DDG, along with a video of them cuddling, in which she admitted that she “misses” DDG. According to Rubi’s tweets though, DDG was actually the person that posted the cringe-worthy content, accusing him of taking her phone and locking himself in a room to upload the pictures.

“This n***a mad I don’t wanna be with him and took my phone and posted that weird sh*t. Literally locked himself in a room and took my phone,” tweeted Rubi Rose in a series of since-deleted posts. “I loved him fr, but it’s just too much now. He deserves to be happy and so do I. He wants to chase prostitutes, I’m not the one for him. Literally blocks every rapper in the industry who dms me… like damn I just wanna make music smh. Idgaf how another n***a feel about me.”

Notorious B.I.G. Asked The Important Questions On “What’s Beef?”

The Notorious B.I.G is widely hailed as one of the greatest rappers of all time, a distinction that would elicit few arguments from the hip-hop community. Yet sadly, the long-hailed king of New York only has two studio albums to his name — his 1994 debut Ready To Die and his 1997 double-album Life After Death, recorded during his lifetime but released sixteen days following his murder.

Though the album spawned some of Biggie’s major hits, including “Mo Money Mo Problems” and “Hypnotize,” it also contained some of his signature darker cuts — including the brutal and introspective “What’s Beef,” a track that many still hold as one of Biggie’s crowning achievements. Featuring some truly disturbing lyricism that would never fly in today’s climate, Biggie held nothing back as he examined the consequences of engaging in real street warfare. “Man, listen, straight torture, look what that slick shit bought ya,” he spits, in the climactic third verse. “A first-class ticket to Lucifer, real name Christopher.”

A disturbing examination into the twisted mind of one of rap’s greatest lyricists, “What’s Beef” remains an integral piece of the hip-hop canon to this day. Twenty-fours years removed from the initial release of Biggie’s sophomore album Life After Death, revisit one of the most influential tracks to emerge from his deep and storied catalog.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Man, listen, straight torture
Look what that slick shit bought ya
A first-class ticket to Lucifer, real name Christopher
Here lies your demise, close your eyes
Think good thoughts, die while your skin start to glisten
Pale blue hands get cold, your soul’s risen

Derrick Jaxn’s Wife Defends Her Appearance In Her Husband’s Viral IG Confession

Even after Derrick Jaxn’s cringy Instagram confessional went viral earlier this week, the story about the relationship expert’s cheating scandal continues to develop. While several people focused on Derrick Jaxn’s antics throughout the confessional video, which was awkwardly titled “Did I Cheat In My Marriage? #TheTruth,” countless other social media users were focused entirely on his wife Da’Naia Jackson. Many people commented on the fact that she was wearing a bonnet, while others joked about how uncomfortable she appeared throughout the video’s nearly eight-minute runtime. Now, rather than letting the jokes run rampant or the rumor mill start churning about any perceived abuse in their relationship, Da’Naia Jackson has stepped forward with a few videos of her own.

In her first Instagram post touching on the cheating scandal involving her husband, Da’Naia answers a serious concern that many social media users have been hinting at since Derrick released his cringy confessional. In regards to the rumor that Derrick has been allegedly beating her and forcing her to publicly support him amidst the drama, Da’Naia quells all allegations of abuse and reassures her followers that she and Derrick are in the process of healing.

Da’Naia’s most recent Instagram video, however, handles a much more light-hearted matter — her appearance in Derrick’s viral Instagram video. Dressed in camo and a thick black bonnet, Jaxn’s wife reveals that she’s battle-ready and prepared to go to war to save her marriage with Derrick. Simply captioned, “Let’s talk Bonnet,” Da’Naia’s latest post does just that, as she offers religious clap backs at social media users who were critical of her casual, bonnet-sporting look in Jaxn’s original video.

“You see a bonnet. I see the helmet of salvation,” Da’Naia proclaims around the two-minute mark of the video. “You see an army green shirt. I see the breastplate of righteousness…I’ve come to the battleground, covered in the blood of Jesus, to proclaim victory over sin.”

Judging by her recent Instagram posts, Da’Naia Jackson is confident in her pursuit to maintain her relationship with Derrick Jaxn, even despite his recent antics and embarassing videos.

Do you think that she should leave Derrick or is that none of our business?

Tobias Harris Forced To Recite J. Cole Lyrics In Awkward Post-Game Interview

Following his 25-point outing in a win against the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris had an awkward moment on the NBA on TNT post-game show with co-host Adam Lefkoe.

For years, Tobias Harris has heard that he looks like rapper J. Cole on social media. The comparisons are frequent and they’ve never seemed to bother the hoops star. After this week, the 28-year-old Sixers star is likely hoping that he never hears about his rap lookalike again because, during his post-game interview, he was awkwardly asked to recite some of Cole’s lyrics, which he reluctantly did without even realizing what he was being put up for.

“Tobias, before I let you go, I have one request. Can you say, ‘No such thing as a life that’s better than yours,'” asked Adam Lefkoe before signing off with Harris. The baller obliged, but he looked embarrassed to be doing it. Later that night on Twitter, Harris confirmed that he had no clue what he was being asked to do.

“Nah no lie I thought I was repeating lines for an ad, because I said ‘no such thing as a LIFE VEST better than yours,'” said #12 on the Sixers.

On social media, people are teasing Tobias for sounding like J. Cole, as well as looking like the rapper. Do you think he looks and sounds like the North Carolina-based artist?

Ja Rule Sold A Painting Of The Fyre Festival Logo As An NFT For Over $120K

Crypto-art is currently beyond big business as the non-fungible token trading craze continues. The latest high-profile celebrity to get in on the bubble before it bursts is Ja Rule, who bragged of recently selling a painting of the Fyre Festival logo for over $120,000 on the Flipkick market. It was painted by Tripp Derrick Barnes for the company’s New York office but Ja kept it after the disastrous festival weekend.

Although Fyre Festival creator Billy McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison for fraud, investor Ja Rule was cleared of similar charges after a judge determined he didn’t know about the behind-the-scenes logistical failures that turned the luxury festival into a documentary-worthy fiasco. In an interview with Forbes about selling the painting, Ja explained that he really wanted to get rid of the painting because he felt it brought him “bad luck.” Initially commissioning the painting for just $2,000, he originally thought about selling it on eBay but a friend convinced him to get in on the NFT trend.

And while $120,000 seems like a tremendous profit on the $2,000 painting, it’s a big step down from his original asking price of $600,000. I guess people weren’t willing to go in that deeply on something Ja Rule’s selling.

Bono Enlisted An All-Star Cast For The Animated Series ‘Pandemica’ In An Effort To Stop Vaccine Hoarding

The last time a bunch of celebrities got together to try and “help” with the pandemic, it resulted in the dreaded “Imagine” video, which even its participants have admitted was probably not the best idea. We can safely say the new animated series, Pandemica, is definitely not that.

Produced by the Bono-founded ONE organization, which will stream the series for free across its social media channels, Pandemica boasts a stellar cast and centers on a fictional world that’s a “never-ending pandemic purgatory, where COVID-19 never goes away and no one is sure how long they will be stuck there or if they can ever leave.” The series aims to raise awareness about the importance of everyone in the world getting vaccinated to end the pandemic, and the dangers of wealthy nations hoarding the much-needed shots. Via THR:

“Pandemica’s animated world animates a simple truth — that where you live shouldn’t determine whether you get these life-saving shots,” said U2 frontman Bono, co-founder of ONE and (RED). “Even while many of us still wait our turn, we need to commit to making sure that billions of people around the world aren’t left at the back of the line. It’s the right thing to do, obviously, but it’s also the only way out of this pandemic for all of us. If the vaccine isn’t everywhere, this pandemic isn’t going anywhere.”

Here’s the full cast list: Patrick Adams, Samuel Arnold, Bono, Connie Britton, Penélope Cruz, Meg Donnelly, Danai Gurira, Nick Kroll, Laura Marano, Kumail Nanjiani, David Oyelowo, Phoebe Robinson, Michael Sheen, Wanda Sykes and Calum Worthy.

Pandemica premieres March 25 on ONE.

Trippie Redd & Lil Durk Have A Banger On The Way

Trippie Redd has always been an artist comfortable with pushing boundaries, embracing versatility and exploring genres like emo, pop, and rock. In February, Trippie delivered his melodic Pegasus Vs Neon Shark project, which featured guest appearances from Machine Gun Kelly, Blackbear, and Travis Barker. Despite having only recently released a substantial body of work, it would appear that Trippie is already setting his sights on the future.

Today, the artist has taken to Instagram to share a glimpse at an upcoming track featuring Lil Durk, who happens to be in the midst of an incredible run. It’s likely this one will serve as a continuation of said run, as it sounds like both parties are bringing their A-game for the occasion.

Over a sweltering synth-driven banger that’s almost industrial in nature, Trippie catches a slick pocket with an infectious, melodic, and cocky flow. Tempting though it may have been for Durk to follow suit, he opts for a different approach as the beat shifts and adapts to his style. “Trenches muthafucka, I can’t switch this shit,” he raps, as pianos join the arrangement. “I’m a cocky muthafucka from 300, got my bitch a bitch / grew up watching BMF take over, free Big Meech in this.”

The snippet cuts off before the beat can return, but this early glimpse certainly sounds like a promising collaboration — we look forward to catching it upon its release, whenever that might be. Check it out for yourself below, and sound off if you like what you hear from this new effort from Trippie Redd and Lil Durk.
