Aaron Gordon’s Brother And Former NBA Player Drew Gordon Has Passed Away At 33

The brother of Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon, former NBA player Drew Gordon, passed away in a Portland vehicle crash on Thursday. His age was only thirty-three. Gordon was a standout athlete in California and attended San Jose’s Archbishop Mitty High School. He was named an All-American. Drew was undrafted after averaging a double-double in college. He Spent two seasons playing collegiate ball at UCLA and the University of New Mexico. He then inked contracts with several European professional teams. Drew Gordon made his NBA debut in November 2014 with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Before retiring from the game last year, he played nine games for the Sixers and continued his career in the G League and abroad. Among other honors, Gordon played in Turkey, Serbia, Lithuania, France, and Russia, where he was named an All-Star. Although Aaron Gordon has not publicly spoken on the death, his team on Thursday sent a sincere letter to the family. “The Denver Nuggets organization is devastated to learn about the tragic passing of Drew Gordon,” the team said. “Drew was far too young to leave this world, but his legacy will forever live on through his three beautiful children and all of his loved ones.”

Aaron Gordon’s Brother Drew Gordon Has Passed Away

The Denver Nuggets statement concluded with, “Our hearts are with Aaron and the Gordon family during this extremely difficult time.” Drew Gordon His survived by his three children and his wife, Angela. According to Drew’s agent Calvin Andrews, who spoke with ESPN, the former basketball star passed away on Thursday, May 30, in an automobile accident in Portland, Oregon. Well wishes and condolences have been sent out to Aaron gordon’s family as they deal with the tragedy. 

The news has spread and many fans and have mirrored the Denver Nuggets statement. Drew last posted on Instagram on April 26. The caption read, “Did you know that Aaron Gordon’s brother was a G League star?.” The post showed him next to a picture of his brother Aaron. At 6’9″, Drew Gordon was a nightly double-double machine during his two seasons in the G. All in all, it is a sad development for Aaron and his family. Overall, we wish the Gordon family well in this troubled time.

John Legend Gets Candid Discussing The Allegations Made Against Diddy

It’s been a pretty difficult year for Diddy so far. Numerous lawsuits have been filed against the rap mogul. They’re alleging years of bad behavior with some even roping in fellow celebrities and behind-the-scenes collaborators. It’s put many of the people Diddy has worked aside in his decades-long career in an uncomfortable position. Certain figures like Yung Miami and LeBron James were silent for a surprisingly long time. Both unfollowed the rap mogul earlier this month after facing criticism for their seeming lack of acknowledgment of the accusations against him.

Now John Legend is breaking his silence on the situation. He and Diddy have collaborated musically in the past, but he didn’t do the rap mogul any favors with his candid statement. In particular, Legend discussed the controversy between Diddy and Cassie. It began last year with a lawsuit the singer filed before being escalated a few weeks ago. That came when CNN leaked a video of hotel security footage that seemed to capture one of the alleged assaults. Hear what Legend had to say when CNN asked him about it below.

John Legend’s Comments About Diddy And Cassie

“I was horrified by the descriptions that I read before the video evidence came out,” Legend began when asked about the situation. “And absolutely it’s something that needs to be brought to light when it happens. My default stance is to believe women when they make these accusations and to make sure that we do whatever we can to support women” he elaborated. In addition to many of the lawsuits filed against him Diddy is also facing a federal investigation. Earlier this week, CNN reported some information involving a male prostitute caught on camera at the rap mogul’s house. They also claim that he plays a role in the federal investigation.

The 2024 NBA Finals will feature a historic coaching matchup between Jason Kidd of the Dallas Mavericks and Joe Mazzulla of the Boston Celtics. The Mavericks are just four wins away from securing their second championship in franchise history. The last time Dallas reached the Finals was in 2011 when they triumphed over the Miami Heat. This year’s finals appearance marks a significant milestone for Jason Kidd, a key player in the Mavericks’ 2011 title run, who seeks to lead them to victory as head coach.

On the other hand, the Celtics are chasing an unprecedented 18th NBA title, which would break their tie with the Los Angeles Lakers for the most championships in league history. Boston’s storied franchise boasts a record 17-5 in their past 22 Finals appearances, but they have struggled recently, losing in 2022 to the Warriors and in 2010 to the Lakers. The Celtics haven’t lifted the Larry O’Brien Trophy since 2008, ending a 22-year drought from their previous win in 1986. A championship this year would snap their second-longest title drought in franchise history.

In addition to the historic coaching matchup, the Mavericks aim to become the first No. 5 seed to win an NBA title, following the 2020 Miami Heat as the only other fifth seed to reach the Finals. Today, Glasshaus Presents unveils Grammy-winning artist Bilal’s “All For Love,” the latest single from forthcoming album Live at Glasshaus, a mid-career retrospective featuring a supergroup of Questlove, Common, Robert Glasper, and Burniss Travis. The live record presents Bilal within an ensemble of luminaries to reimagine standouts from his classic repertoire. Live at Glasshaus, out June 14 during Black Music Month, sees Bilal at the peak of his powers, pushing the boundaries of a genre-defying catalog including 1st Born Second, Love For Sale, Airtight’s Revenge, and Common’s seminal Like Water for Chocolate.

“All for Love” was a standout track from Bilal’s shelved 2006 masterpiece Love for Sale, a project that has achieved legendary status among fans and critics alike. Despite its artistic brilliance, the album was never officially released due to a premature leak and subsequent disputes with his former label, Interscope Records. This resulted in the album becoming a cult classic and a significant part of Bilal’s musical legacy.

Jessie Reyez And Big Sean Have A Message For The Haters In Their Defiant ‘Shut Up’ Video

It has been about two years since Jessie Reyez’s last album, Yessie, and, aside from a pair of singles in 2023 with Miguel and 6lack, she hasn’t released too much new music since then. But if you thought you’d seen the last of the Canadian singer, she’s back with a two-word message for the haters, doubters, and anyone else with anything negative to say: “Shut Up,” the title of her new single featuring Big Sean.

The video for the song features cameos from singers JoJo and Nija, who help Jessie judge a f*ckboy beauty pageant alongside actress Inanna, and from Jessie’s mom Carmen, who rides along with the singer in a Ferrari. Big Sean shows up midway through the video to offer a signature, boastful verse with one colorful sex punchline, and the video ends with a short snippet of another new song, suggesting that a follow-up to Yessie is definitely in the works.

Reyez’s recent collaborative output has been some of her strongest work yet; “Jeans,” her collaboration with Miguel, and “Homicide,” her third collab with 6lack, were solid songs that highlighted her seductive new direction. Stay tuned for more from Reyez.

Luh Tyler Off-Roads And Flashes Cash In His ‘Young N****’ Video

In the video for “Young N****,” Luh Tyler rides ATVs with his friends, shows off his jewels and cash, and makes it clear he’s just as cool as ever. The Florida teen (for two more years) has been enjoying life since his song “Law & Order” took off on TikTok, and he’s just about a year removed from releasing his debut mixtape, My Vision, on Atlantic Records, so the time is ripe for a follow-up.

After his appearance on the 2023 XXL Freshman Class cover, expectations are high for the 18-year-old, who just graduated from high school last year. His 2024 has already been eventful; earlier this month, he set off on tour with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, on whose Better Off Alone Tour he’ll be opening until late June. He hasn’t announced a new album yet, but don’t be surprised if that announcement comes sooner rather than later.
