Leonard Fournette is still waiting for his next destination in his NFL career. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers spent the first three seasons of his career in Jacksonville. While the last three have been spent in Tampa Bay. During his time with the Buccaneers, Fournette was a part of the franchise’s second Super Bowl victory. As the Bucs defeated the Kansas City Chiefs behind the stellar play of then-QB Tom Brady. However, all of that seems minuscule at the moment.
On Tuesday, Fournette was involved in a horrifying incident on a Florida highway. According to the reports obtained by ‘TMZ’ Fournette’s vehicle went up in flames while the former LSU star was driving. The issue stemmed from a mechanical mishap, not from a collision. The aftermath of the incident is Fournette’s vehicle completely in ash as the flames engulfed the entire vehicle. However, the running back walked away from the incident with no injuries. Check out the photos from the incident in the tweet shared below.

In case you missed it, DaBaby has recently re-emerged following somewhat of an absence from the public light. Though he released two albums last year neither of them got a whole lot of attention. BETTER THAN YOU was a collaboration with NBA Youngboy that took a pretty harsh critical beating. Later that year he released his next solo album Baby On Baby 2 though it didn’t fare much better. Recently he’s begun popping up more and more though. His new song “SHAKE SUMN” has been a viral hit that’s hung around the back end of the Hot 100 in the month since it was released. He’s also been appearing in more and more shows, interviews, and news stories.
In a new interview recorded at the BET Awards the “ROCKSTAR” rapper claims to have beaten cancel culture. The “cancel culture” he’s referring to is the backlash to homophobic comments he made during a performance. He went on a rant during a set at Rolling Loud 2021 that critics picked apart as homophobic and in bad taste. In the following days he made comments about the rant that many saw as doubling down. Now, DaBaby is framing his return to the limelight as beating cancel culture.
Elsewhere in this interview he discusses other subjects like Boosie BadAzz’ recent arrest on federal gun charges. He also touches on J. Cole who is now a part owner of the Charlotte Hornets. Cole was part of a group that purchased DaBaby’s hometown team from previous owner Michael Jordan. The interview is brief but manages to squeeze in a variety of DaBaby’s thoughts on numerous subjects. What do you think of DaBaby’s comments on cancel culture? Let us know in the comment section below.
Little over a month ago, one of the biggest movies of 2023, The Little Mermaid, finally hit theatres, making Halle Bailey the talk of the town. As the buzz surrounding Disney’s latest live-action remake dies down, another actress is ready to step into the spotlight in her place – Margot Robbie. The blonde beauty will be bringing Barbie to life opposite Ryan Gosling as her Ken next month, and everyone’s inner child is eagerly anticipating what the two stars have in store with director Greta Gerwig.
Others cast in Barbie include Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Dua Lipa, Will Ferrell, and Simu Liu. From what we know so far, the pink-filled flick has the perfect recipe for success, including a star-studded soundtrack that’s been executive produced by Mark Ronson. The industry icon worked with names like Lizzo, Charli XCX, and Karol G to bring his vision to life, as well as Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice. The dynamic duo dropped their “Barbie World” joint effort ahead of the film’s premiere, and in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Robbie claims that she’s to thank for making the movie magic happen.
Margot Robbie Asked Barbie Director Greta Gerwig to Consider “Barbie World” for Her Movie’s Soundtrack
“I was like, ‘Together? Are you joking?!’ I just knew immediately that all my girlfriends were going to lose their minds,” The Wolf of Wall Street actress said of her reaction to Spice and Minaj’s second collab. “I was like, ‘Greta, how are we going to incorporate this song? We can’t do a Barbie movie and not have a nod to Aqua’s “Barbie Girl.” It has to be in there.’ And [Greta] was like, ‘Don’t worry, we’re going to find a cool way to incorporate it.’”
There are still a few more weeks to learn all the lyrics to “Barbie World” before Barbie hits theatres on July 21. We’ve been seeing more and more teasers from one of the most highly anticipated films of the year surfacing on social media, though plenty of surprises are still sure to come over the next few weeks. Jadakiss is opening up in interviews recently, talking about what it’s like to get up on stage after 30 years. On Hot 97‘s GOAT Talk with DJ Enuff last Wednesday, the rapper admitted to suffering from anxiety before any live performance, despite the number of shows he’s done in his career. “Facts. Every show, there’s some butterflies before you gotta go out there,” he said to DJ Enuff. This nervousness is unbiased on which stage, what the show’s caliber is, or which city Jada is touring.
DJ Enuff replied that this was a testament to how much he cares about rap, to which Jadakiss agreed. Even though this is how he feels internally every time he’s up there, he performs like it’s his last show. The dedication to his craft is what keeps Jada going. That, and the love he has for the up-and-comers entering the rap industry. (Unless they’re trying to get fights started… then he doesn’t enjoy the pageantry.)
Jadakiss knows other young rappers must feel similarly. He recently gave some props to Bay Area rapper Symba for his lyrical range and current hot streak. The two performers embraced backstage at a 2023 BET Awards event this past weekend. Video of the encounter went viral, with Jada talking Symba up over and over. Cultural icons like LeBron James and Busta Rhymes commented on the social media post, showering praise for both the old guard and the young bucks of rap.
Jadakiss is doing plenty of talk show appearances these days, giving his take on everything from rap beef to industry history. Celebrating over 31 years of musical prominence, the Yonkers, NY, native is getting introspective while still pushing himself to perform. And we can all relate to Jada; going in front of a mass of people and being vulnerable is uncomfortable. He had the gumption to do it all these years. For that, we are truly grateful. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the music world.
Snoop Dogg celebrated Death Row winning BET’s “Best Rap Crew Of All Time” tournament on Instagram, earlier this week. Commenting on the results, he thanked fans and wrote, “Wow,” with fire, prayer hands, and music notes emojis. For the win, Death Row beat out Wu-Tang Clan in the championship round. Death Row is credited with having Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Tha Dogg Pound, Warren G, DJ Quik, The Lady Of Rage, and others.
Death Row previously beat out YMCMB, TDE, N.W.A. & The Posse, and the Hieroglyphics Crew during the first four rounds to reach the final.
Fabolous also commented on the result when it was shared by The Hip-Hop Wolf on Instagram. He wrote: “Kinda a weird category comparison to me.. Wu Tang is a rap group.. . Death Row was a rap label.. and the artists were all solo artist. If its Rap Crew based it shoulda been like Death Row, Bad Boy, Cash Money, No Limit etc. Wu Tang wasn’t even all on the same labels. Not a fair comparison in my eyes. Just my thoughts.. But congrats to Tha Row.”
Other fans agreed with the rapper. “They had to put a whole record label against a rap group for them to win [laughing emojis] who’s fucking idea was this??” one wrote. Another commented: “All this time 2pac was in a group..”
In addition to celebrating the best rap group of all time, BET also recently hosted its annual awards ceremony. Tons of the biggest artists in hip-hop took home awards including Drake, Latto, Kendrick Lamar, and more.
