Doja Cat Explains Her Shaved Head And Calls Britney Spears Comparisons ‘Incredibly Disrespectful’

Doja Cat’s antics are plentiful, but when she shaved her head and eyebrows last year it really wasn’t the big deal many people made it out to be. “I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life, which is very strange,” she said at the time, despite comments of concern from haters.

In a new interview with Variety, she addressed that situation again, specifically in regards to comparisons people were making to when Britney Spears controversially shaved her head in 2007.

“It’s so incredibly disrespectful for people to be minimizing what Britney went through and make a joke out of something that was very serious and a big deal in her life,” the rapper told the outlet. “Every time I see a comment like that, I can’t compute what’s happening, other than it’s just an awful thing.”

She continued: “But other than that, when I shaved my eyebrows off and I shaved my head, I remember thinking, ‘Get this sh*t off of me,’ because I needed to change something. I wasn’t working out and wasn’t really taking care of myself in the way that I wanted to. I was like, ‘I need to do something,’ so I just chopped it all off. And I could see the shape of my head. I could see my whole face. I can see my ears, now that I don’t have a wig that’s glued to my forehead.”

Doja is fresh off turning heads in Paris with fashion statements involving 30,000 Swarovski crystals and strategically placed fake eyelashes.

Diddy’s Daughter Love Combs Enjoys A Baby Massage

When you’re the child of a superstar like Sean “Diddy” Combs, you’re afforded luxuries that only a few can buy. The world was shocked with Diddy shared that he welcomed another child into the world. Quickly, internet sleuths deduced that the mother was a woman named Dana Tran, and since that time, the media mogul has been sharing small bits of his time with his baby girl, Love.

On Instagram, Diddy shared an adorable video of his youngest, and it looked as if she was with her mother. “I’m at the chiropractor,” the woman said in the clip. Love was getting some special treatment as the physician worked on her lower back, but it didn’t seem to bother her any.

Yung Bleu Announces New Album “Love Scars 2”

Yung Bleu remains a force to be reckoned with and he clearly has no intention of slowing down. In the past three years, he delivered a steady stream of music to satisfy his fanbase. It’s only been a few months since his last studio album, and Bleu is already gearing up to have the summer on smash. The artist hit Instagram this morning where he announced his upcoming project, Love Scars 2. We have no doubt that Bleu’s new project will have a grip on this spring since its set for an April 14th release date.

In addition to the release date, he also shared the cover art for the album. The artwork includes an X-ray of his chest with several chains dangling from his neck. Bleu hasn’t dropped a new single to lead the official rollout but it seems like it could be coming soon.

Love Scars 2 will undoubtedly set up a big year ahead for him, as he’s already riding high off of the release of TANTRA. The rapper’s follow-up to Moon Boy dropped in November, which boasted plenty of star power. Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, ZAYN, Kelly Rowland, and French Montana all appeared on the tracklist. The album also included “What Type Of Games” which sampled DMX’s “How It’s Goin’ Down.” Unfortunately, Bleu faced backlash for his attempt at paying homage.

“I understand that’s such a great song and it will never be duplicated no matter what by any artist! Classic! I’m paying homage!” he said in response to the hate he received.

Bleu released the first installment of Love Scars in 2020. The project, subtitled The 5 Stages Of Emotions, helped propel him to stardom. Love Scars: The 5 Stages Of Emotions included the original version of “You’re Mines Still.” Eventually, the song landed in Drake’s lap who remixed it, which Bleu re-released and included on Moon Boy.

Stephen Jackson Criticizes Al Sharpton’s Tyre Nichols Eulogy: “All For Political Gain”

Today (February 1), the public funeral for Tyre Nichols was livestreamed for the world. The 29-year-old was killed earlier this month by a mob of police officers who savagely beat him. Three days later, Nichols, a father of a four-year-old, succumbed to his injuries. Several political figures and celebrities gathered for Nichols’s homegoing, and Rev. Al Sharpton was responsible for delivering the eulogy.

“The tape speaks for itself. They started beating an unarmed man,” said Sharpton. “In the city where the dreamer laid down and shed his blood, you have the unmitigated gall to beat your brother.” The display is being talked about across social media platforms, and Stephen Jackson chimed in with a hot take.

On January 7th, 29-year-old Nichols was violently beaten for three minutes by Memphis police officers at a traffic stop and died of his injuries. Five Black Memphis Police officers have been fired after an internal investigation found them to be directly responsible for the beating and have been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, two charges of aggravated kidnapping, two charges of official misconduct and one charge of official oppression. On Instagram, The Shade Room posted about Sharpton’s appearance at Nichols’s funeral. It wasn’t a sight that impressed Jackson, who worked alongside activists when George Floyd was killed by officers in Minnesota. The former NBA giant called out purported leaders who he suggested have ulterior motives.

“Y’all keep letting these folk fool y’all,” Jackson commented. “Same scene Al sharpton and Crump Crew. All for political gain. They pray on people’s pain.” He also said, “Seeen it first hand with G Floyd. If it’s not a national media case u won’t see them. Yet we getting killed everywhere by police. Free game.”

Attorney Ben Crump, who was also at the Nichols funeral, is well-known as a representative for families of police violence. Sharpton has a long history of activism, although his methods have often been criticized by all sides.

It is further reported that five Memphis police officers were fired, all Black men, and another two were relieved of their duties. Additionally, the Memphis Fire Department also made some changes. A lieutenant and two emergency responders were also fired following an investigation. It was stated that they did not adequately administer aid to Nichols following the attack.
