Klondike Explains Itself For Ending The Choco Taco

The Choco Taco, one of Klondike’s most iconic ice cream treats, is being discontinued after a 40 year run. Social media was abuzz with in memoriams for the chocolaty delicacy. “The Choco Taco is the best mass-produced ice cream product ever,” wrote one fan, Kaleb Horton, on Twitter after hearing the news. “Unacceptable. Appalling. Outrageous.”

Now, more details have come out about why the ice cream treat was discontinued. “Over the past 2 years, we have experienced an unprecedented spike in demand across our portfolio and have had to make very tough decisions to ensure availability of our full portfolio nationwide,” said a Klondike brand representative to Newsweek. “We know this may be very disappointing.”

The Choco Taco was invented back in the 1980s, and was available to buy at ice cream trucks. Later, the product started to be widely distributed by Unilever, the company which now owns Klondike. The man who invented the treat, Alan Drazen, is proud of what he had done, calling the Choco Taco a game changer. Drazen recalled how the idea came to him, saying he was “on an expedition in Mexico and got separated from my party. It was hot. I hadn’t had anything to drink. And then I saw a mirage. An ice cream taco, rising out of the distance. That’s how I got the idea.” In 1983, he started to distribute the product to wholesalers.

If you’re one of the devastated Choco Taco devotees, there is a silver lining. For now, Choco Tacos can still be found in retailers, though not for much longer. Get them while supplies last.

Kendrick Lamar Reacts To Security Guard Crying To “Love”

Kendrick Lamar addressed the recent viral video of a security guard crying during his performance of “Love” at a concert in Houston on Friday. Lamar spoke about the clip during an upcoming interview with Jazzy’s World TV.

When asked about the security guard’s reaction, Lamar confirmed that he had been shown the clip, adding, “It’s really just about the feeling of it at the end of the day. Past all the politics, past all the numbers. It’s what music makes you feel, how it makes you feel. So to see that … And shout-out to him by the way because I seen him, bro. I was like, man, I wonder what he going through? But at the end of the day that’s how you want everybody to perceive your music.”

Rolling Loud Miami 2022 Photo Gallery: Future, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert & More

Rolling Loud Miami was the place to be over the weekend. Though the festival just announced that they’re expanding to a tenth country — Thailand — the flagship event in Miami is always lit. Sure, there was a bit of anxiety after Ye pulled out from his headlining slot but every artist who popped out compensated over the course of the weekend.

Friday was a shakey evening overall, as Kid Cudi walked off stage after facing a barrage of disrespect from concertgoers. Still, he came through with a memorable performance while he was on stage. Lil Yachty also brought high energy just a few hours prior.

Saturday was packed with some incredible performances from City Girls, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. Ski Mask The Slump God also came through for his hometown and brought out Gekyume during a tribute to the late XXXTENTACION. Though bringing out Kanye West is a tough act to follow, Future managed to do it with special guest Travis Scott, who hasn’t appeared at any festival stage in the U.S. since the Astroworld Festival tragedy. Fans were certainly ecstatic.

After two huge days, Sunday maintained the same momentum to close out the festival. With Kendrick Lamar closing out the show for his first U.S. festival date in 2022, some of the hottest rappers in the game made sure to warm up the crowd. Lil Baby and Kodak Black, who came out during K.Dot’s set, shut things down.

Barack Obama’s Summer 2022 Playlist Includes Hits From Lil Yachty, Doechii, Drake & More

He may no longer be sitting in the Oval Office, but former President Barack Obama still has an undeniable amount of influence on his followers. After spending eight years as America’s leader, the 60-year-old now has a far more relaxed schedule – one that includes dropping off an annual summer playlist to catch the world up on his music taste.

On Tuesday (July 26), the Honolulu-born politician delivered his round-up for 2022, featuring an incredibly diverse range of artists and songs, both new and old, for your listening pleasure.

“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies – it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together,” he wrote in the caption, asking his 35.4M friends to drop suggestions of their own down in the comments.

At the very top of his collection, Obama included Beyoncé’s “BREAK MY SOUL” anthem from her upcoming Renaissance album. Following that, he listed “Vibe Out” by Tems, “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” by Harry Styles, and “Mighty Love” by The Spinners.

As far as the hip-hop and R&B genres go, the father of two spotlighted songs from Rosalía, Lil Yachty, Prince, Burna Boy, Doechii, Aretha Franklin, Bad Bunny, and Amber Mark, just to name a few.

Rather than selecting a song from Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind album, the 44th POTUS opted to take us back to 2016 with a selection from Views – “Too Good” featuring Rihanna – followed by D’Angelo’s “Spanish Joint” and Nina Simone’s “Do I Move You? (Version II).”

Vince Staples, Mustard, Kendrick Lamar, The Internet, Omar Apollo, Wyclef Jean, and Lauryn Hill also landed on Obama’s favourites list this summer – and don’t get us started on his annual reading list, which you can check out below.

Kate Moss Felt “Vulnerable And Scared” At Topless Shoot With Mark Wahlberg

Kate Moss recently made headlines by defending her ex-boyfriend Johnny Depp against Amber Heard’s allegations in court. Now she’s opened up about other events from her past.

In an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Moss said that the shoot for her famous 1992 Calvin Klein ad with Mark Wahlberg was deeply uncomfortable for her. The experience made her feel “vulnerable and scared,” she said to Desert Island host Lauren Laverne.

When Laverne brought up the Calvin Klein campaign, Moss said that there were “not very good memories.” According to Moss, Wahlberg was part of the problem. “He was very macho, and it was all about him,” Moss recalled. “He had a big entourage. I was just this kind of model.” Moss was a teenager at the time, and Wahlberg was in his early twenties. In some of the pictures, she posed topless, embracing Wahlberg wearing only underwear.

When asked if she felt objectified during the experience, Moss said yes, adding that she felt the team behind the shoot “played on my vulnerability.” “I was quite young and innocent, so Calvin loved that,” she said. Before the shoot, she suffered from such “severe anxiety” that a doctor had to prescribe her Valium. “I really didn’t feel well at all before the shoot,” she continued. “For like, a week or two, I couldn’t get out of bed.”

Moss has previously discussed her bad experience on the underwear campaign, and in 2020, Wahlberg addressed what the model had claimed. “I think I was probably a little rough around the edges,” he said. “Kind of doing my thing. I wasn’t very worldly, let’s say that. But I’ve seen her and said hello. I think we saw each other at a concert here and there, we said ‘hi’ and exchanged pleasantries.”

Iggy Azalea Shares New Photo Of Her & Playboi Carti’s 2-Year-Old Son, Onyx

Iggy Azalea’s little boy is growing up before her eyes.

The Australian rapper has largely kept the 2-year-old who she shares with Playboi Carti out of the spotlight, but earlier this week, she gave her 16.5M followers a look at Onyx via her Story.

“[He] is such a cutie I can’t handle it,” Azalea captioned a photo that shows the little boy posing for the camera in grey shorts, white sneakers, and a Toy Story character-covered shirt on a black and white platform while pointing his index finger toward the photographer.

As Page Six notes, the 32-year-old secretly gave birth to Onyx in April of 2020. “I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world,” she shared in a vulnerable post at the time.

“I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret & I love him beyond words.”

@thenewclassic/Instagram Story

Just a few months after their baby’s birth, the “Work” singer split from Carti and in October of 2020, the world got its first glimpse of Onyx. The next year, in February, Azalea shared some never-before-seen photos of the growing boy.

“I really can’t believe how fast time [flies],” she penned in her caption. “He looks like a toddler [nowadays]!”

Earlier this year, the mother of one showed her baby boy just how much love she has for him by getting a tattoo of Onyx as a cherub – read more about that here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.
