Cardi B Explains Why She Dropped “Hot Sh*t” Without A Music Video

Today, Cardi B is back with her first single of 2022, the Lil Durk and Kanye West-assisted “Hot Sh*t.” The hard-hitting BanBwoi and Tay Keith-produced track serves as the latest single from the Bronx native’s long-awaited second studio album, and to many fans’ surprise, “Hot Sh*t” didn’t arrive alongside a new music video.

The “WAP” and “Up” hitmaker has consistently dropped eye-catching visuals with practically every single that she has released or appeared on in recent years, but in a recent Apple Music 1 interview with Zane Lowe, Cardi B revealed that the “Hot Sh*t” music video has been delayed due to drama and CGI issues.

“Oh my goodness, I don’t want to talk about the video” Cardi explains in the interview, “because this video has brought me so much drama. So this is the first time I ever do CGI. I’m very particular on how I like my things, and I really like when things look super realistic. I like building sets, or I like to be in a place. Like if I want to do a video on a supermarket, I’m going to do the video in the supermarket. You know what I’m saying?”

“So this is my first time trying CGI, and it was something very different for me,” the Invasion of Privacy artist continues. “I couldn’t maneuver or move how I wanted to, because I was very confused. After I finished the video, I find out that this s**t takes so long. I did this video around March, and it’s still not even ready yet. And it’s just so frustrating that I’m like, ‘You know what? Just put the f***ing song out. I don’t even give a f**k anymore. I’m over it.'”

SU22 Nike MLB San Diego Padres City Connect Jersey 08 109450

The San Diego Padres will be the next team to wear a Nike City Connect jersey.

The Nike San Diego Padres City Connect Jersey honors a fusion of cultures that makes the city so special by fusing famous California images with the brilliant colors of the Baja peninsula. The shirt depicts a clear summer day with a pink and golden sunset descending behind the Pacific Ocean.

San Diegans are reminded of worn beach signs by the retro typeface that marks the specific places they value from Oceanside to Imperial Beach and everywhere in between. These beaches have seen generations of San Diegans congregate, tuning their radios to Padres games in both English and Spanish, and enjoying baseball in the sun and sand.

The new City Connect Jersey design will make its on-field premiere on Friday, July 8th, in front of some of the most fervent baseball fans. You can see the new jersey below.

Nike MLB City Connect Series will be available at Nike.com / App, MLB Flagship store (NYC), mlbshop.com and select retail locations.

Thundercat Shares A Warped Cover Of ‘Fly Like An Eagle’ For The ‘Minions 2’ Soundtrack

The soundtrack to Minions: The Rise Of Gru is out today, which has Phoebe Bridgers covering The Carpenters, HER covering Sly And The Family Stone, St. Vincent covering Lipps Inc., Kali Uchis covering Stan Getz And João Gilberto, and Tame Impala and Diana Ross contributing a new song.

Along with these gems, there’s also Thundercat taking on “Fly Like An Eagle,” originally by Steve Miller Band. The idiosyncratic musician does what one would expect — he makes the song weirder and woozier. It’s full of sparkling synths and warped bass, but his vocals are clean, guiding the track forward. It ends by slowly fading away into echoes.

Last month, he shared a collaboration with Gorillaz for “Cracker Island,” about which the Gorillaz virtual band member 2D said, “It’s nice to be back, I’m well into our new tune, it brings back weird and scary memories of stuff that hasn’t happened yet.” The narrative of the tune was explained as “the world’s biggest virtual band have relocated to Silverlake, California where it turns out that the answer to life’s question — the one truth to fix the world — is to invite fans to join ‘The Last Cult,’ with Murdoc as its self-appointed Great Leader.”

Trump Threatened Trade War Against Sweden Over A$AP Rocky’s Arrest: Report

It’s been nearly three years since A$AP Rocky was arrested in Europe after he got into an altercation in the streets of Sweden. The arrest garnered international attention before former president Donald Trump got involved. By now, it’s well-documented that Kanye and Kim Kardashian played a significant role in bringing the matter to Trump’s administration, who knew nothing of the Harlem star. However, it seems that Trump was allegedly ready to go to war over Rocky’s release.

Per TMZ, Sweden’s Justice Minister claimed that Trump threatened a trade war against the European country if they failed to release A$AP Rocky from their custody. The Justice Minister said they received a call from Trump who said that he would impose trade restrictions against Sweden. Evidently, that didn’t work out in his or Rocky’s favor.

“If you can try and do something like this against Sweden, what will you then try and do to slightly weaker countries that don’t have the European Union behind them?” the Justice Minister said, claiming that Trump used classic bullying tactics to ensure Rocky’s freedom. He also said that their response to Trump’s threats was critical to preserving democracy.

Rocky was arrested for assault in Sweden after he and his bodyguards got into an altercation with two men. Rocky and co. said they were being harassed and shared footage to back their claim of self-defense. Rocky was handed down a suspended sentence and released from custody.

Today, British Vogue unveiled new behind-the-scenes footage from the photoshoot, soundtracked by Bey’s latest single. The new video explores the many looks she showed off across the cover story and reveals Beyonce served as both the director and executive producer of the clip.

Yesterday, Beyoncé revealed the official cover artwork for his forthcoming project and shared the inspiration behind the new project. Bey explained that her intention with the project was to create “a place without judgment.”

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are,” she wrote.
