Nardo Wick Announces The Release Date Of ‘Who Is Nardo Wick? 2’

Weeks after joining the 2022 XXL Freshman Class, Florida rapper Nardo Wick has announced the release date for the follow-up to his breakthrough project, Who Is Nardo Wick? The sequel, Who Is Nardo Wick? 2, is due on Friday, July 22, according to Nardo’s Instagram.

The announcement came as something of a surprise, given Nardo has only released two new tracks since his debut. In April, he dropped the video for “Krazy Krazy,” following up in June with “Riot.” However, he didn’t exactly give any indication that either track was part of a new compilation, only hinting that Who Is Nardo Wick? 2 was in the works earlier this year. Despite their relative lack of promotion, both songs performed well enough — “Krazy Krazy” has crossed the 3 million views threshold on YouTube, while its successor is rapidly approaching that benchmark itself.

As for features and the like, Nardo is remaining pretty tight-lipped. Fans can probably look forward to high-profile names, though; his debut featured appearances from the likes of Future and Lil Baby on “Me Or Sum,” and the remix of his breakthrough single “Who Want Smoke??” featured 21 Savage, G Herbo, and Lil Durk, despite Nardo being relatively unknown when the songs dropped. All we have for now is the album cover, which Nardo shared on Instagram and features a remake of the first album’s cover photo with a different pose in front of the same building. Joe Budden Recalls Jay-Z Charging Him $250k For “Pump It Up” Verse

Joe Budden claims that Jay-Z charged him $250,000 for the verse he lent to the remix of Budden’s 2003 hit, “Pump It Up.” While Budden says that the unusually large fee was unrelated to any personal issues between the two artists, the comments come just days after Jay-Z told Kevin Hart that he’s never charged for a feature.

“I don’t think that was a big number, I think that was his number,” Budden explained on a recent episode of the FlipDaScript podcast. “‘That’s my number to rap on this new artist’s remix.’ It was just big in my world, but it wasn’t a big number.”

He continued to say that he didn’t know any better at the time: “Listen, I’m super young in that moment. I wasn’t in the studio when [Jay and Budden’s A&R Skane] had the conversation. I knew that they had some type of relationship. It was a Just Blaze beat, and I was green behind the ears. I just thought that it would get done.”

“I didn’t know anything about the business and how things like that are supposed to go. That was par the course…It was big to me because it was unattainable… but the blessing was that he gave a number,” Budden said.

“Pump It Up” was released on March 24, 2003, as the lead single from his self-titled debut album. The remix of the song featuring Jay-Z was included in the deluxe edition of The Hits Collection Vol. 1.

Jay-Z had remarked during an interview with Kevin Hart, last week, that he never charges for a verse and that it’s instead about “relationships.”

“Law & Order: Organized Crime” Parking Enforcement Officer Shot & Killed On Set

A parking enforcement officer named Johnny Pizarro was shot and killed on the set of NBC’s Law & Order: Organized Crime on Tuesday. The 31-year-old father of three had been sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was saving a parking space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn when a man opened the door and shot him.

A co-worker of the victim told the New York Post that they had worked the same job for six years.

“We put up the fliers, cones and park the trucks. We come 24 hours in advance to start clearing out the parking. We park in our trucks, and we wait for the stars to come out,” he explained. “He was a great guy, always laughing or making somebody laugh, you know?”

After the shooting, NBC shut down production for the remainder of the day.

“We were terribly saddened and shocked to hear that one of our crew members was the victim of a crime early this morning and has died as a result,” the company said in a statement. “We are working with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate. Our hearts go out to his family and friends, and we ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”

The series is a spin-off of the iconic Law & Order franchise. The show stars Christopher Meloni, Danielle Mone Truitt, and Ainsley Seiger and is in its third season.

While Milli will be handling titles like “Conceited,” “Pretty Girls,” “On My Nerves,” and “Big Steppa” on her own, she tapped New York’s own Tiffany Pollard to assist her with the intro, and Babyface Ray will come through with a verse or two on the fourth title, “Hottie.”

The only other feature on the album actually comes from Rico on “Pay Day,” meaning she’ll have double to celebrate this weekend what with her own arrival and this sure-fire collaboration. The rap divas have linked up on the beat in the past, also spitting about dollar bills on “Money.”

You Still Here, Ho? follows Milli’s 2020 Ho, why is you here ? mixtape which includes hits like “Beef FloMix,” “In The Party,” and “Not Friendly.”

NYC Bodega Worker Jose Alba Has Murder Charges Against Him Dropped Following Amiri Stabbing

Earlier this month, word of a fatal stabbing at a New York City bodega took the world by storm after 61-year-old employee Jose Alba was charged with murder in the death of 35-year-old Austin Simon.

In case you missed it, the younger man entered the shop on July 1, just minutes after his girlfriend had left due to not being able to pay for a bag of chips. A new report from the New York Post reveals that, at the time of the altercation, the woman told Alba that her boyfriend was going to “come down here right now and f*ck [him] up.”

Simon did come indeed, and proceeded to throw Alba up against a wall, corner him, and grab his collar – generally inspiring a deep fear within the employee as to what could be next for him.

As the younger man (who had a criminal history) continued to berate and attack Alba, the 61-year-old took action to defend himself, eventually fatally stabbing Simon before he got too out of control.

Motions related to the case revealed earlier today state, “It is a crime in New York to use physical force to intentionally restrict a person’s movements by moving him from one place to another or by confining him.”

“If Alba reasonably believed that Simon was committing or attempting to commit a burglary of an occupied building, then Alba was permitted to use deadly physical force upon Simon if Alba reasonably believed it to be necessary to prevent or terminate the commission of the burglary.”

After he was released on a lowered bail of $50K, the District Attorney’s office has since decided to drop the charges against Alba, seeing as “a homicide case could not be proven at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Both NY Mayor Eric Adams and the Hamilton Heights Grocery store owner were pleased with today’s verdict. “I think in this case we had an innocent, hard-working New Yorker that was doing his job and someone was extremely aggressive towards him. I believe that after the DA’s review, the DA, in my opinion, made the right decision,” the former said.

Domi & JD Beck And Anderson .Paak Played The Shimmering ‘Take A Chance’ On ‘Kimmel’

Are you paying attention? Because if you haven’t been hipped to the sounds of Domi & JD Beck yet, it’s time to get on board. Anderson .Paak is here to tell you the same and in fact, he sat-in with the jazz beat prodigies on stage last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as the three of them performed their song, “Take A Chance.”

The track was introduced by Garth Alger himself (guest host Dana Carvey) and .Paak, wearing a fuzzy bucket hat and over-sized two-toned shades, was perched in front of Domi on keys and Beck on drums. The talented instrumentalists elevated .Paak’s vocal stylings on the new tune, which is on their upcoming debut album, Not Tight, out July 29th on .Paak’s own Apeshit Records label and Blue Note.

Domi & JD Beck have made a name for themselves as not only prodigious jazz musicians who have sat in with Herbie Hancock and Thundercat, but also masterful hip-hop beat conductors. They flashed their vocal chops on the “Take A Chance” performance, singing back-up for Paak on the song’s hook while not skipping a beat on their respective instruments. As the song comes to a close, .Paak looks out at the crowd and says, “Ladies and gentlemen, Domi & JD Beck!” The two then proceed to play as dexterously as humanly possible into the song’s outro and the only response we’re left with amazement at their skills. The future is here.

Anderson .Paak is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

50 Cent Reacts To GOP Bill Proposing Child Support For Unborn Children

50 Cent reacted on Instagram to a bill proposed by Republican senators Marco Rubio and Kevin Cramer that would allow mothers to begin collecting child support at conception. The Unborn Child Support Act comes after the Supreme Court’s recent controversial ruling on Roe v. Wade, which stripped away federal protections for abortion rights.

The bill would amend the Social Security Act “to ensure that child support for unborn children is collected and distributed under the child support enforcement program.”

“Ok [fuck] this I quit,” 50 Cent said, sharing a screenshot of an article covering the bill.

Cramer defended the bill in a statement on his website: “Caring for the well-being of our children begins long before a baby is born. It begins at the first moment of life — conception — and fathers have obligations, financial and otherwise, during pregnancy.”

Even more Republican senators are co-sponsoring the bill, including Steve Daines (R-Mont.), Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), James Lankford (R-Okla.) and Roger Wicker (R-Miss.).

50 Cent is no stranger to paying child support. In 2017, he even threw a “Child Support Release Party” when he completed all his payments. 50’s son, Marquise Jackson, called him out over the joke.
