Adam Sandler appeared on Good Morning America on Monday with a noticeable black eye, which he attributed to a “bad accident” with his cell phone. Sandler was promoting his new Netflix film, Hustle.

“This is something I have to discuss, right?” Sandler began, pointing to the injured eye.

He explained that he kicked off his bed sheets in the middle of the night while sleeping and sent his cell phone “flying” into the air, where it plummeted down onto his face. Too tired to care, he went back to sleep without treating the injury.

“I refused to acknowledge it,” he explained. “I felt blood and said, ‘Ah, there’s something going on, but I got to sleep.’ Kept sleeping, woke up …”

After GMA co-anchor George Stephanopoulos remarked that it was the “most elaborate black-eye story” he’s ever heard, Sandler joked: “There’s nothing cool about this thing. It looks so cool. When I’m on the streets of New York, like, I see people going, ‘Oh, OK. He likes to fight, that guy.’ I’m like, ‘Ah, it was a bad accident.’”

Somehow, this is now the third unrelated time that Sandler has gone on a live talk show with a black eye. The first time came in 2014 while on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, while the second was in 2015 on Jimmy Kimmel’s NBA Finals “Game Night” show.

In his new film, Hustle, Sandler stars as a basketball scout trying to recruit a player from overseas to play in the NBA. The movie also stars  Queen Latifah, Ben Foster, Juancho Hernangómez, and Robert Duvall.

Adrien Broner has been through a lot in his boxing career. From disappointing championship matches to arrests, there are a lot of reasons to think Broner won’t be able to ever become a champion again. Fortunately for Broner, things are starting to look a lot better for the boxing star. For instance, he won a fight last year and in July of 2022, he is going to take on Omar Figueroa. 

Recently, Broner took to his Instagram account where he professed that he has been working extremely hard in the ring. He is committed to being a top-tier boxer again and in his eyes, there is no doubt that he can become a champion again. In fact, he is even taking shots at his fake fans, noting that they will see just how good he is once he puts a belt back on his body.

“I’ve been working my ass off and I see a lot of people left me and think I won’t be champion again I’ve been in camp for 2 and a half months training by myself working my ass off alone when usually it’s 15-20 plus people on the side of me while I’m training no matter if they holding water or Powerade for me or holding the bag while I working out or they just there encouraging me to push myself now it’s just me @coachmikestafford and @vithecutman and I wanna keep it this way ain’t no hard feelings to nobody but just keep the same energy when I’m back CHAMPION!!!!!!! It remains to be seen how this comeback will go for Broner, however, if there is one thing for sure, it’s that he is going to bring the entertainment factor.

Just when you thought your iPhone couldn’t get any better, Apple comes through with a new update to solve (almost) all of your problems. Earlier today (June 6) the tech giant kicked off its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), where CEO Tim Cook spoke about what users can expect to see from the company in the coming months.

The Apple head honcho began by saying that he believes in supporting developers, which is why “we just opened our brand new developer center across from Apple Park, where developers can engage with engineers.”

Craig Federighi then took to the stage to introduce iOS 16, which “brings [the] biggest-ever update to your lock screen.” Users will now be able to change their clock’s font and make their wallpaper “go live,” meaning you’d be able to “feel” the sensation of lightning striking.

A new notification style called “Live Activities” have been added as well, giving you live updates on sports scores, Uber or food delivery status, workouts, etc. It’s been noted that the music player has been integrated into this feature too.

Focus mode has been expanded to the lock screen, as well as within apps so that users can “filter out content in messages, calendar, mail” that don’t align with their current focus.

Arguably the best feature that was promoted today, though, was one within iMessage that allows you to either unsend or edit a message. Who would’ve thought Apple could beat Twitter on that one?

DJ Khaled reminded his Instagram followers that he is an actual disc jockey in addition to being a record producer by sharing a video of himself scratching vinyl records on Saturday. Showing off his fundamentals warranted praise from numerous artists including Royce Da 5’9, D-Nice, A-Trak, and DJ Scratch.

“We the Purest,” Khaled captioned the video. “Vinyl alert.”

“A “REAL” Dj bruh…. I don’t think enough people know that about you…” commented Royce Da 5’9″.

DJ Scratch also chimed in with several fire emojis.

It’s understandable for fans to forget Khaled’s actual DJ skills as he’s been so successful as a record producer behind the scenes over the years. He even recently remarked that no one would be able to beat him in a Verzuz contest.

“To answer your question, I really don’t see nobody” Khaled said on Trick Daddy’s cooking show, I Got My Pots. “My catalog is super strong … I’m from Miami so if you expect me to be like … I don’t see nobody, and I mean that with love. My catalog is strong. You might wanna Google it and go check out my catalog, I been doing this shit for two decades! And I been putting hit records out for damn near 15 years! So really think about what you thinking and what you saying because Khaled got hits! A lot of hits!”

The DJ is expected to be releasing a new project in the coming months after recently teasing himself to be in “album mode.” Khaled has shared pictures from the studio with 21 Savage and Lil Baby. The project will be Khaled’s 13th studio effort.
