Kendall Jenner & Devin Booker Split Over “Plans For The Future”: Report

Another celebrity relationship has come to an end and this time, it’s coming from the Kardashian-Jenner camp. The sisters have seen quite a few breakups in recent years: Khloé and Tristan Thompson, Kim and Kanye West, and Kylie and Travis Scott, although the latter reunited and welcomed another child. Model Kendall Jenner seemed to be doing just fine with her NBA boyfriend Devin Booker, but reports now state the high-profile couple has broken up.

The Phoenix Suns star reportedly first began dating Jenner back in 2020 when they surfaced online in vacation photos in Arizona. From that point forward, they were the latest in the Kardashian-Jenner crew to face relationship gossip.

There have been rumors of Jenner and Booker breaking up over the years, but Entertainment Tonight reported their “source” close to the couple said the model “feels like they are on different paths.” Specifically, Booker and Jenner allegedly spoke about their plans for the future “but they are not on the same page.”

Meanwhile, E! News stated that “Kendall and Devin hit a rough patch recently and have been split for about a week and a half.” Another suggestion, or rumor, was that Booker isn’t one who feeds into the limelight and is more of a private person that the Kardashian-Jenner lifestyle allows.

With the drama surrounding his personal life seemingly dissipating in the months to come, Suns fans are hoping Booker can focus that energy on the court.

Billie Eilish Explains Using “Body Double” At Coachella

Some celebrity lookalikes make a good amount of money posing as their doppelgangers, and a select few are even hired due to their looks. Snoop Dogg’s lookalike fooled people at the recent NTF.NYC conference and Coi Leray’s double tried pranking fans at their local mall. Billie Eilish admitted that she takes advantage of people wanting to resemble her and hired a “body double” for her Coachella performance.

In an interview this week, Eilish was asked if she’s ever donned a disguise as other celebrities do in large festival environments. “Yeah, but I was a different person then and it didn’t work! I’ve done it though, occasionally in different places, and it’s really nice when you’re able to do it.”

“The beginning of Coachella, I had a body double, one of my dancers for the show,” she added. “I dressed her up in a show look that I had worn before. We got a black wig and we put buns in it and we gave her a mask and sunglasses and she wore my shoes and my socks.”

“I put her up at the back of the stage and she stood there while the lights went on and everybody thought it was me,” she continued. “And nobody ever knew it wasn’t me, literally nobody knew. And while she’s up there, I put on a big black coat and a traffic vest and a hood and just glasses.”

Chris Brown Touches On R&B Lacking “Artistry,” “Showmanship,” & “Confident Males That Can Sing”

Much has been said about this era of R&B and debates regarding how the genre has evolved have caused a divide. There was a time when R&B dominated the global charts—it didn’t matter if artists were solo, duets, or groups. Singers were belting out love hits, breakup anthems, power ballads, and everything in between, but in recent years, the takeover has widely come from Rap.

This, of course, doesn’t mean that there aren’t phenomenal artists taking over the R&B scene of today, but entertainers like Chris Brown have been in the business long enough to know the difference.

“[R&B is] obsolete in the fact of it being primary,” he said. “Meaning, you used to listen to the radio and they had an ‘R&B Day.'”

“Not to take anything away, Hip Hop has just been dominating sh*t,” Brown continued. “A n*gga can’t hate on Hip Hop. I’m a part of it, so, I love it. Let all the Hip Hop be heard.” He also seemingly criticized some of his peers who have emerged in R&B with his perception of what has changed.

“I feel like, not to sound lame when I say this, it’s really no more artistry left in that type of showmanship lane. A lot of the R&B people have to go introverted or look like they’re emo, and if they’re not that, people will give them the Neo Soul-type of genre. I don’t feel that’s right. I feel like there’s a scarcity of confident males that can sing.”

Giveon Reveals The Most Important Part Of His Process And How He Feels About Criticism

Giveon’s career took a huge turn for the better in 2020. That year, he opened and closed his heart with the world thanks to a standout collaboration with Drake and two EPs: Take Time and When It’s All Said And Done. The two EPs were later combined into one effort, with the addition of one song, for a body of work titled When It’s All Said And Done… Take Time. That project did not stand as Giveon’s official debut album, as that is set to arrive later this week with Give Or Take. During a recent interview on Apple Music, Giveon revealed what he believes is the most important part of his process towards creating music.

“So my process is I really think the story is the most important part,” he said during his conversation with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “Simply because I think that’s what’s going to make someone go back to it. That’s definitely what’s going to make me play it over and over again. So I like to have the story first. The thing about storytelling for me is you have to make sure it’s digestible as well.” Later on in the interview, Giveon also took a moment to share his feelings about criticism.

“I think I’m in a space where it’s like, as far as criticism, I don’t know, the world is interesting now because me personally, it’s like, if I’m shopping for clothing, if I don’t like this shirt, I don’t like the tailor and the cut, I’m not going to hold it up and be like, ‘Hey everyone in this store, I don’t like this shirt if you were wondering.’ I’m just not going to pick the shirt up,” Giveon said.

He later added, “As far as criticism, it’s art as well. You know? If I’m telling you a story about my heartbreak, it’s at my discretion. You can’t say, tell me how you got your heart broken in other ways. It’s like, no. Just go listen to something else. I don’t even think anything would be bad necessarily. It’s just either it’s for you or it’s not.”

Robin S Praises Beyoncé For “Giving Me My Flowers While I’m Still Alive”

Among the bevy of names credited in Beyoncé’s new “Break My Soul” jam, Robin S is a prominent figure. In 1993, the singer’s smash hit “Show Me Love” was released, and since that time, the track has been a staple. It has been chopped, screwed, and remixed many times, but no one with a reputation quite like Beyoncé. Robin recently spoke with Good Morning Britain about Bey sampling her song on “Break My Soul,” and it is clear that this is an unforgettable moment with immeasurable impact.

“My son called me and he’s like, ‘Mom, mom. You’re trending all over the place. You know Beyoncé put her song out and it’s ‘Show Me Love’, and you’re trending everywhere,'” she recalled.

“This is Robin S and this message goes out to the Queen B herself, Beyoncé, to Jay-Z, to the entire team. Thank you so much for giving me my flowers while I’m still alive. I’m honored and excited to see what else can happen,” said the singer. “Maybe we can do a collab together? You know, that’s always the dream. I can’t even. Just wow. A lot of thanks.”

You never know what Beyoncé and her team have up their sleeves. Check out Robin S’s “Show Me Love” and watch a clip of her interview below.

Snoop Dogg Imposter Fools Reporter At NFT.NYC Conference

The doppelgangers are apparently winning because lookalikes are making the most of their moments. We’ve seen the memes of people who happen to resemble some famous face, but in recent years, things have gotten out of control. Fake Drake, real name Izzy, was making major bags taking to nightclub stages as he would lipsync to Drizzy’s records, and Fake Lil Durk managed to land a feature in the Chicago rapper’s music video.

Snoop Dogg has seen his fair share of lookalikes over the years, but there is one who stole the show during the NFT.NYC conference. The imposter was so convincing that an NBC News reporter thought it was the real Snoop.

“I’m at the NFT NYC conference again in Times Square, and Snoop walked by, flanked by security,” stated reporter Kevin Collier. “I grabbed his handler, said I’m a reporter, would love a few minutes. The guy said actually that’s an impersonator, legally can’t say it’s him, they hired him to drum up excitement.”

After Collier’s tweet and a photo of the imposter went viral, Snoop reshared the reporter’s post and dubbed his lookalike to be “Dogg Snoop.” Check it out below.

Jussie Smollett Talks Dealing with “Internalized Homophobia” Through Attack Scandal

The bulk of his court case is behind him, and now that he has been released from jail, Jussie Smollett is back on the scene. We all witnessed the drama that unfolded from the “did he or didn’t he stage a hoax” madness—a moment in pop culture history where Smollett was on the receiving end of a backlash. Throughout the years, Smollett kept his visibility minimal and didn’t sit down for many interviews, but he recently caught up with Sway Calloway to detail his experience.

“I didn’t wanna do an interview,” he said of his 2019 chat with ABC News. “I love and respect Robin Roberts… I did not want to do that interview. That interview wasn’t for me, that was for my character.”

Smollett claimed it took him a full year before he watched the interview back.

“I watched it and I was mortified. I mean, I was mortified. I mean, I cringed at just the—every single word that I said in that interview was the truth, but there was a certain level of performative nature that came from it because I didn’t want to be there,” he said. “I was so angry and so offended that I had to go on national television and explain something that happened to me. And it was so political, and it was all of those things, and I found myself dealing with my own internalized homophobia.”

The openly gay actor also stated that his desire was “to represent all of us that had been assaulted based on who we are… but I also didn’t wanna be associated with people who had been attacked.”

“I’m genuinely sorry to say this… I felt like I just became a f*ggot that got his ass beat,” he said. “Or at least I felt like that’s what people saw me as. And so, I was trying so hard to, like, the posturing of, he hit me and then I hit his ass back and I was just like, ‘Oh my God… You look ridiculous.'”

His family and friends also made sure to limit his access to the internet so he would be faced with a barrage of critics. When he did looks at what was being said, he was dejected.

“Worst idea ever,” said Smollett. “I really saw what it was and it was so painful. Cause I was like, ‘Ooh, he said that about me. Oh my God. Oh, she said that. What?” Watch his interview with Sway Calloway below.

Maino & Jim Jones Talk Young Thug & Gunna’s Lyrics Being Used Against Them

As we move forward into these summer months and everyone gets hyped about being outside, Young Thug, Gunna, and over two dozen of their alleged associates are under a different sort of pressure. The RICO case stacked against the two rappers could spell the end of their era if things take a turn, and if prosecutors have their way, both rappers will remain incarcerated for the remainder of their lives.

In Hip Hop, the “Free Gunna” and “Free Thug” movements haven’t ceased, but we recently learned that prosecutors planned on using the YSL rappers’ lyrics against them.

Authorities allege that Thugger, specifically, hinted at or detailed his crimes in his songs. During a hearing, a prosecutor read off lyrics that they claim were a direct mention of a shooting attack made on YFN Lucci’s mother. Rappers have come out in defense of their incarcerated peers, including Jim Jones and Maino who spoke about lyrics being used as evidence.

“When you rappin’, you rappin’ from a perspective,” Maino said while he and Jones were on The Breakfast Club. “I say all kind of crazy sh*t sometimes when I rap… I say, ‘Yo, woke up in the shade room, shorty took me home, I licked her p*ssy in her kid’s room.’ I never did it.”

“It’s just a bar. It shouldn’t be literal,” he added. “It shouldn’t be taken out of context as it being so literal. Some of these are just bars. We sayin’ things that come from things we might have seen.”

Jones mentioned that Hollywood directors, screenwriters, and stars aren’t prosecuted over their work, and neither should rappers. Check out their appearance on The Breakfast Club below.

Trina Reflects On “The One” Album Release: “I Was Betrayed”

Just a few years ago, Trina shared her album The One, but’s release came with bumps in the road. What people weren’t aware of was behind the scenes, Trina was at odds with her business partner at the time, Julian, who she would later say stole the money that was supposed to be used for the record. She detailed the controversy during an episode of Love & Hip Hop Miami.

“After four years, we finished the album, finally. Then, my business partner Julian was given a $300,000 advance and he used it for his label which was supposed to be for me,” she said on the show in 2020. “Now, all of a sudden I’m getting cease and desist letters from producers that were never paid, and my whole album was taken down off the internet.”

Artists often reflect on their records when release anniversaries arise, and Trina reflected on The One and the battles she faced with the record.

“[Three] years ago today [orange heart emoji][sad face emoji] I worked rlly hard on this project and it hurt me so bad how I was betrayed and taken advantage of . I rarely speak on things but this was suppose to be one of my happiest moments and it turned into one of my biggest pains. STILL .. #TheOne.”

Her relationship with Julian was one of deep trust and Love & Hip Hop Miami fans watched as it unfolded on reality television. Check it out below.

Lil Tjay’s Shooting Resulted In Three Arrests As He Remains Hospitalized After Emergency Surgery

Fans of Lil Tjay were met with concerning news on Wednesday morning as it was reported that the rapper had been rushed to a hospital for emergency surgery following injuries he suffered in a shooting. TMZ was one of the first to break the news and now they have returned with an update on the matter. The publication reports that three people have been arrested in connection with the shooting. In a statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, it was revealed that one of the suspects, Mohamed Konate, tried to commit an armed robbery against Lil Tjay and two of his friends at a Chipotle in Edgewater, New Jersey.

The attempted robbery, which went down a little after midnight on Wednesday, resulted in the “Calling My Phone” rapper being shot multiple times, while one of his’ friends was reportedly shot just one time at a nearby Exxon gas station. After his arrest, Konate was charged with three counts of first-degree attempted murder while the other two suspects were charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

Hours after news arrived of the shooting and Tjay’s emergency surgery, TMZ reported that he was out of surgery and that he appeared to be doing better. The unfortunate incident for Tjay comes after he collaborated with Kaash Paige for “24 Hrs.”
