Since the start of 2022, developments for Kanye West’s Donda 2 have moved at rapid speed. We are now less than a month away from the supposed release of Ye’s next studio album, but we all know how he can tend to delay his projects.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, producer Digital Nas who has been a frequent collaborator with West recently, divulged more about the album-making process. When discussing Kanye’s approach to the album, he wants each song to be applicable to any major life event: “These are the directives for the album: ‘If it cannot be played at a funeral, childbirth, graduation, a wedding, it will not be on our record. We learned a lot from Donda 1. We learned what hit. We learned what was sticking. So we took from there. It has to be able to be played at four major moments in people’s lives. That’s crazy, right?”

Digital Nas helped produce “Remote Control” with Young Thug and “Junya” with Playboi Carti on the first rendition of Donda, as well as their “part twos” with Kid Cudi and Ty Dolla $ign respectively. As they work on Donda 2, Ye revealed that he will be with out his cellphone until the February 22 release date, as he will solely focused on his kids and finishing the project: “”I don’t have a phone until two, twenty-two, twenty-two,” he said a video. “My focus is taking my kids to school and finishing the album.”

With a release date, promotional single with The Game, executive producer in Future and motivation behind the album, it seems that Ye has everything in place for his upcoming release. Now all that is left is to finish Donda 2 and put it out on time.

Britney Spears’ conservatorship may have come to an end, but her battle with her family continues. On Friday, January 28th, the 40-year-old shared a series of video clips from The Real, showing some of the talk show’s hosts debating whether little sister Jamie Lynn was right for publishing a memoir instead of talking issues out with her sister in person.

In the caption of her post, Britney wrote, “national bestseller??? DUH… The timing of your book was unbelievable Jame Lynn… Especially knowing the whole world had no clue what was really done to me!!!”

“The nerve of you to sell a book now and talk shit but [you’re] f*cking lying just like you lied about Alexa Nikolas!!! I wish you would take a lie detector test so all these masses of people see you’re lying through your teeth about me.”

The mother of two’s anger clearly came through in her message. “I wish the almighty Lord would come down and show this whole world that you’re lying and making money off of me!!!” she ranted, concluding with “You are scum, Jamie Lynn.”

Back in November, Atlanta rap duo EARTHGANG announced their upcoming studio album Ghetto Gods was set to release in late January 2022. Now, as January is about to end, the album has missed its release date, with no postponed date in sight.

However, Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot certainly still plan to put out the record, as they took to Reddit this weekend amid fan complaints about their delay, in order to reveal the Ghetto Gods tracklist. 

The album will contain 17 songs, and includes features from fellow Dreamville artist Ari Lennox, along with Future, Smino, Baby Tate, CeeLo Green, Nick Cannon and more. Both pre-released promotional singles “All Eyes On Me” and “American Horror Story” will be included on the record, as their first studio album in over two years looks to be monumental for them.

As they unveiled this tracklist to their fans through Reddit, a video also surfaced of them addressing Ghetto Gods‘ delay, as they insisted they would rather fans hear the album live in concert before it arrives on digital streaming platforms: “It’s coming to streaming soon but we want y’all to get this album live and in person.”

EARTHGANG is currently on a nationwide U.S. tour that contains five more dates in the states. Soon after, they will begin a worldwide tour in March in several different countries, so there is no telling when they would decide to finally drop the album.

Ultimately, it seems fans are thrilled to hear what EARTHGANG has in store for their new era, whenever they decide to let it commence.

Things are only getting better for Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, a Page Six exclusive reveals. Sources close to the socialite have revealed to the outlet that, despite her estranged husband allegedly spreading rumours about her new boyfriend, they remain “really happy,” and the mother of four hopes that Kanye West moves on soon.

“Kim truly wants [Ye] to be at peace with their marriage being over and find happiness,” the insider explained. “Where it’s with Julia [Fox] or someone else, so they can focus on raising their children together in a more positive way,” also mentioning that the SKIMS founder has been keeping “quiet” because of their kids.

“She is worried about how all of these things that are being played out so publicly on Kanye’s end will affect their kids in the future and feels that any issues should be resolved privately.”

The article notes that the Yeezus rapper was reportedly “spreading unfounded rumours about Davidson being gay and having AIDS… in an effort to convince Kim to come back,” but ultimately, his behaviour is “actually bringing Pete and Kim closer together.”

A new report from TMZ backs up the insider’s claims. Earlier this week, the new couple was spotted with sister Khloe Kardashian and a group of friends at a Los Angeles escape room after grabbing some Korean BBQ for dinner. It’s been said that they rented out the entire facility from 6 PM to 10 PM for $3,500.

In other news, TMZ has also taken some time to clear up any rumours about a potential fight between the Saturday Night Live star and the rapper, who recently name-dropped Davidson in a diss track.

A new video circulating online shows the comedian holding John Mulaney and Olivia Munn’s young baby – a chipped tooth evident in his smile. In case anyone was wondering if the injury came from Ye, the answer is no, he’s just shooting a film that requires him to be missing a part of his tooth.
