Jim Belushi Offers Advice To Kim Kardashian Ahead Of “SNL” Hosting Gig

Kim Kardashian is no stranger to breaking the internet with her bodacious booty pictures, but lately, the mother of four has been making waves for other reasons. Recently, it was announced that she would be hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live, on October 9th.

When the news was revealed, many rolled their eyes and found themselves wondering how a reality TV star could possibly entertain an at-home audience, as if she hasn’t made a career out of it for the last serval years.

Recently, TMZ caught up with former SNL cast member Jim Belushi to ask him if he has any advice for Kardashian ahead of her big gig, to which he responded, “when you’re walking through hell, just keep walking.”

When asked for clarification, the 67-year-old said, “it’s overwhelming, but just keep moving. They will lead you and take good care of you and you will be in good hands, they know what they’re doing.”

When asked if he would be watching the KKW Beauty mogul grace the small screen, Belushi responded, “I watch all the time.”

The comedian then continued to reassure Kardashian that “she’ll do great” and that she could expect the SNL team to “take great care” of her, even if she’s worried about her comedic timing.

“They will make her look good, that’s what they do,” Belushi concluded.

The SNL alum’s kind words of support are a far cry from the hateful reaction that Kardashian has gotten from other stars, such as Debra Messing.

“Why Kim Kardashian?” the Will & Grace star tweeted upon hearing the news. “I mean I know she’s a cultural icon but SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV show or album launch. Am I missing something?”

Joining the reality TV star as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live will be “You should be sad” singer, Halsey. Will you be tuning into Kardashian’s episode? Let us know in the comment section.

Freddie Gibbs Reacts After Dr. Umar Proposes Boxing Match Against Mike Tyson

Freddie Gibbs’s interview with Mike Tyson on Hotboxing With Mike Tyson aired on YouTube this week. The two discussed everything from 2 Live Crew’s explicit live shows in the 90s to pondering the outcome of a hypothetical Freddie Gibbs vs. Tekashi 6ix9ine boxing match. However, it was one moment where they were discussing women from the 80s, specifically white actresses from the 80s, that caught the Internet’s attention. Gibbs joked that Dr. Umar wouldn’t have approved of their discussion about interracial relationships while Mike Tyson admitted to having no idea who Umar was.

“He don’t like white people,” Gibbs told Tyson before the boxer asked for more details about Umar. “He’s just a righteous brother. He got some cool ideas.”

“If he got hate — he can’t be cool,” Tyson stated.

Word of this conversation got back to Dr. Umar who shared the clip on his Instagram page with the caption on the video reading, “Two brothers discussing Dr. Umar’s politics and neither knows what they’re talking about.”

However, Umar had a bit more to say about the clip than just that. He took to his IG Live where he did state that Tyson was one of his favorite athletes of all time. But, he wanted to see the former boxing legend in the ring. First, he corrected Freddie for joking that he would be mad at them for discussing white women. “Politics is not about emotions. Brother Freddie, politics is not about emotions,” he said, before diving into his proposal for a fight against Iron Mike.

“It’s time for Mike Tyson and Dr. Umar five rounds,” Umar said. “Somebody get Bernard Hopkins on the phone!… Somebody get Floyd Mayweather on the phone! Let’s do it. Five rounds: Mike Tyson, Prince of Pan-Afrikanism. FDMG. I’m ready to train.”

Just the idea of Tyson and Dr. Umar stepping into a ring had Freddie Gibbs ecstatic. The rapper took to Twitter shortly after Umar’s rant where he posted several reactions to different clips from the live. In one tweet, he shared a gif of his face on Don King’s body, referring to himself as Don Kane.

Summer Walker Says Her Sophomore Album Is Dropping In November

Summer Walker may not have been allowed into last night’s BET Hip Hop Awards, but the mother of one still managed to make waves from outside. In a video filmed in a parking lot, Walker revealed that she’ll be dropping her sophomore album sometime in November.

“I was super excited to go to the BET Hip Hop Awards today, but they wouldn’t let me in due to COVID restrictions. I had such a pretty dress and everything, but it’s fine,” the 25-year-old explained.

“BET love me, I still love BET. I was gonna talk about some stuff on the red carpet, so I decided to pull up anyway and let you guys know some things.”

The camera then followed Walker over to a nearby building, where a message was being projected in pink letters for everyone to read.

“Summer Walker album #2 coming November,” the text read.

“It’s all love BET. More details on my new album will be released on the anniversary of Over It,” the singer tweeted out along with the clip.

Immediately, fans began hounding Walker for more details on the upcoming project, but it seems that she’s remaining tight-lipped until Over It turns 2 on October 4th.

From what she’s revealed so far, we know that we can expect collaborations with SZA, Ari Lennox, and Lil Durk, although a project title and track list have yet to be made public.

Coming out of the UK, Little Simz has been making a huge impression on the hip-hop world. Fans are finally starting to catch on to her talent, and now, she is getting some massive looks. The artist recently had a cameo in the new Venom movie, and one of her songs is also in the film. That song is, you guessed it, a track called “Venom.”

This is actually a song that was released a few years ago, although now, it has undergone some changes to fit the theme of the movie. It should be no surprise that this track was chosen when you consider how it contains some cinematic production and some fearsome lyrics that showcase Simz’s raw talent.

Overall, it’s a great effort from the artist and it’s something that fans are bound to enjoy.

Quotable Lyrics:

In a world where the love isn’t free
Through the lies and the pain and deceit
See, glitter ain’t always gold
They want war but we came for the peace

JPEGMAFIA Flexes His Production Skills On New Track “HAZARD DUTY PAY!”

JPEGMAFIA’s ascent has been fun to watch over the past few years as he continues to innovate with his music. As both a rapper and producer, Peggy has figured out the perfect sound that suits his voice, and fans simply cannot get enough. On Friday, he came through with a brand new song called “HAZARD DUTY PAY!” which, unfortunately, has not been cleared for streaming services. Luckily, the song has made its way to YouTube, much to the delight of his supporters.

The sample that plays throughout the track is from a song called “Ain’t No Need To Worry” by The Winans, featuring Anita Baker. The sample is lavish and it works perfectly when paired with JPEGMAFIA’s signature flow. The artist has always had a knack for being versatile, and this track reinforces that trend.

You can check out the new song, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Peggy the goat, more like the feds
As soon as you see me you know that it’s finished
And, how can you tell that he’s winnin (How?)

Halle Bailey Sings “Can You Feel The Love” In Honour Of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary

When the world found out that Halle Bailey had been cast as Ariel in Disney’s live action remake of The Little Mermaid, reactions were mixed, to say the least. Some fans immediately saw the 21-year-old as the perfect choice for the role, while others found themselves questioning why a Black woman was chosen.

The movie isn’t set to hit theatres until 2023, but Bailey is still hard at work proving that her amazing vocal talents undoubtedly earned her the role of Ariel.

On October 1st, the “Do It” singer took to the stage at Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration to perform a touching rendition of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight.”

“Hi everyone! It’s Halle Bailey, and look at where I am. I’m in Magic Kingdom, and tonight I will be performing at the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World celebration,” the singer-turned-actress said in a Twitter video.

The track, which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, was popularized in the 1994 film, The Lion King, and was originally sung by Black gospel vocalist, Kristle Edwards, and composed by Elton John.

For her performance, Bailey pulled out all the stops, taking the stage in a stunning, strapless dark blue and grey gown, accessorized with silver jewelry.

If people were lacking confidence in the 21-year-old’s portrayal of Ariel before, they certainly have no reason to be now.

Several viewers have already taken to Twitter to hype up Bailey’s outstanding performance, writing messages like “you ate that. Truly. Can’t wait for more,” and “our princess.”

Kendrick Perkins Urges KD To “Pull The Plug” On Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving is one of the best point guards in the NBA right now, although, at this point, there are some real concerns about his availability this season. Irving is one of the few players in the league who has yet to be vaccinated, and it could impact his ability to suit up for the Brooklyn Nets. While many are urging Kyrie to get the vaccine, there is a solid chance he decides to continue with his current mindset. If this were to happen, it would be a disaster for the Nets.

On First Take this week, former player Kendrick Perkins spoke about the situation and noted that Kevin Durant should consider asking for Kyrie’s exit from Brooklyn. Perkins thinks Kyrie could bring the team down this season if he continues down this path, and the only way to fix it would be via trade.

“Look, if you’re trying to win a championship, you need everybody to be 100% in,” Perkins explained. “I know it’s a touchy subject when it comes down to being vaccinated and things of that nature. But he’s telling to Kevin Durant, ‘Hey man, listen. You have a chance to do something. You have James Harden. Don’t let this man be the distraction.’ Sometimes you’ve got to be man enough to walk upstairs and pull the plug.”

KD and Kyrie have a very good relationship, so this kind of request is probably not going to happen. Regardless, the Nets do have a unique situation on their hands and they are going to need to deal with it soon, otherwise, the whole team could be negatively impacted.
