Miley Cyrus Surprises Fans During Megan Thee Stallion’s Set At The Austin City Limits Festival

Those who attended Megan Thee Stallion‘s set at Austin City Limits on Friday got a surprise: Miley Cyrus crashed the set. Cyrus shared a video of the moment on her Instagram page and it shows her running to join Megan from stage left before briefly dancing the day away. “Dreams DO come true! Me & @theestallion doing hot girl shit!,” Cyrus captioned the post, with Megan replying, “Love youuuu.”

Cyrus’ appearance was quite brief, as she quickly ran backstage after busting out a few moves. It was later revealed that Billie Eilish was also backstage, but unlike Cyrus, she decided against running out there and hoofing up a storm. Cyrus later returned to the stage for a headlining set of her own, which closed out the night.

The Austin City Limits festival will continue throughout the weekend before returning next weekend. Those who attend will catch performances from Billie Eilish, Duran Duran, Tyler The Creator, St. Vincent, Doja Cat, Tierra Whack, Jack Harlow, Phoebe Bridgers, Erykah Badu, Polo G, and many more.

You can watch a video of the moment in the posts above.

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Britney Spears Reportedly Is In No Rush To Perform Again Despite Her Father’s Removal As A Conservator

Britney Spears and her team had a big win at the end of last month when a judge ruled that her father Jamie Spears was suspended from his role as her conservator. While Jamie has not been permanently removed from the position, it is a step in the right direction. But those who hoped the news would result in the singer returning to the stage, that, according to TMZ, is not happening any time soon.

Sources close to Britney told the publication that she’s in no rush to get back to performing, a stance she’s held for a long time. Instead, for now, she plans to enjoy her freedom from her father as well as her new engagement to Sam Asghari, whom she’s dated for the last four yeras. Sources claim that it will be quite a while before she returns to the stage, if she returns at all. Others say that she may never do it again at all.

All of this comes as the FBI reportedly launched an investigation against Jamie Spears for illegally bugging Britney’s home, as revealed in The New York Times‘ documentary, Controlling Britney Spears. These allegations led to Britney’s lawyer demanding that Jamie be removed from the conservatorship.

Klay Thompson Offers Insight Into His Comeback

After suffering an ACL tear in 2019 and a ruptured Achilles in 2020, Klay Thompson will finally be back on the court this season. After missing two straight campaigns, the Warriors could really use Thompson back in the lineup, especially given the fact that the Warriors have missed the playoffs in the two years where he was absent.

There is a fear that Thompson won’t be playing at the same level he used to be capable of, although Thompson is optimistic he can get back there. While speaking to SiriusXM Radio, Thompson admitted that he still has some work to do although his ultimate goal is to get back to where he was back in 2019, when he was lighting it up in the NBA Finals against the Raptors.

“But I was playing the best basketball of my life in 2019 when I get hurt,” Thompson explained. “I expect to get back there. Not right away just because that was a hundred games worth of work and incredible shape. But when I step back on the floor I’m gonna be a very effective player. Maybe not what I was doing shooting the ball like I was, but I will still be really good. And I will just keep going up – and I really believe that.”

Thompson went on to say the team’s ultimate goal this year is to win the title, which is certainly an ambitious thing to strive for considering the team has changed quite a bit since their dynastic run just a few years ago. Either way, Warriors fans have a lot to be excited about this season.

Nick Cannon Dons Crocs & Bathrobe To 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards

Don’t be so quick to blame the stylist, because Nick Cannon definitely dresses himself. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, we don’t know.

The Wild N’ Out star was seen pulling up to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center for the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards red carpet in a shiny gold armor top, red-and-white-striped boxers, a cozy white bathrobe, Christmas socks, Crocs, and a golden fitted on top of his fiery locks of red hair.

If that didn’t catch the attention of every single person at the ceremony, it definitely did when Cannon started laying on his side for the cameras.

The comedian took to Instagram to shout claims of an imposter. “Y’all gonna stop playing with me!! This is not me!!!” Cannon captioned a red carpet pic. “I’m busy working on my brand new hit Talk Show in Harlem!!! When would I have time to go all the way to Atlanta for the hip hop awards dressed in my drawlz?!!!”

So who was this mysterious character? Turns out, the flashy fashion icon was Murda Count, also known as Count Crackula, a.k.a. Nick Cannon’s new alter-ego.

Nick tagged the account for Murda Count on the Instagram post, which teases the Masked Singer host’s upcoming single, “Countin Crack.”

This is not the first time that Cannon has pulled this antic. He’s previously “dressed up” as Murda at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, walking down the red carpet in a similar fashion. He rocked a near-identical top and sweatpants that he pulled together in a pair of bedazzled Timbs.

Guess the jokester no longer wants people to associate Murda’s sense of fashion with his own, as he joked that he didn’t even attend the show this time around. “Usually I don’t address this social media gossip but after my name was trending WORLDWIDE again for something I didn’t do, I have to say y’all trippin on this on!” he wrote. “I have a brand new Talk show coming out September 27th! Why would I go to the VMA’s like this!? I heard this some corny new rapper named @MurdaCountHarlem I see no resemblance #respectfully.”

What do you think about Murda’s fit, let us know.

Drake Gives Adonis Buckets In Adorable New Video

Drake has a lot to celebrate right now. His latest album Certified Lover Boy is breaking records on the charts and it remains one of the most-streamed albums in the world right now. Fans are loving the project and they are already looking ahead to what Drake might put out next. As for the artist himself, he is simply enjoying his success and spending some time with his family.

The artist has specifically been spending time with his son Adonis, who is starting to grow up very fast. Adonis has already shown interest in sports like basketball, and Drake has made sure that his son has the resources possible to learn the game at a very young age.

Recently, Drake got to play some basketball with Adonis in his driveway, and it made for an adorable video in which the artist schooled his son on how to take a good shot. As you can see in the clip below, Drake goes one-on-one against Adonis and shoots right over his head for an easy basket. Adonis seemed incredibly engaged in the whole matchup, and it made for a cute video that just goes to show how eager Adonis is to become good at basketball.

Drake has a basketball court in his home, so there is no doubt that Adonis will have plenty of opportunities to practice. Perhaps in the future, we will see him as one of the next great talents on the court.

New To Netflix In October: “You” Season 3, “Seinfeld” And More

You Season 3

Cue the moral dilemma of rooting for the bad guy. You Season 3 is back. The show follows Joe, a charming bookstore manager (Penn Badgley) with a sinister side — he’s ready to do just about anything for love. That includes lying, stalking, and using social media to his every advantage when he develops an obsession with a young writer (Elizabeth Lail). Season two left off with Joe seemingly finding the girl of his dreams, but a twist comes when Joe learns that he may have finally met his match in his new partner, Love (Victoria Pedretti). Not only that, but Joe finally gets to start the family he’s always wanted since he impregnated Love. We would say let’s hope nothing disrupts that perfect, family fantasy, but let’s be real, there won’t be anything of the kind in You Season 3.

The Baby-Sitters Club Season 3

If you’d prefer some lighthearted television, Netflix’s renewal of The Baby-Sitters Club could be the one for you. The show, adapted from the book series of the same name, follows a group of friends who start a babysitting service. Sounds pretty straightforward, watching a few kids for some extra cash, but the show has proven itself to be far more complex as the girls traverse through adult problems such as illness, moving away, and divorce. On top of that, the girls are finding that their business is growing, as new members, and a new cast, is added (though Kyndra Sanchez is replacing Xochitl Gomez as Dawn).
