Rob Gronkowski Will Miss Patriots Matchup With Rib Injury: Report

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski will miss the team’s matchup with the New England Patriots, this Sunday, after suffering a rib injury against the Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The game would’ve been Gronk’s first time back in New England since playing for the organization from 2010–2018.

“We held out hope all week he’d be ready,” a source told Schefter. “He’s a different breed.”

Gronk will likely be sidelined for multiple weeks with fractured ribs.

Despite Gronk’s absence, his former Pats teammate Tom Brady will still make his return to New England, this Sunday.

“I’m not going to necessarily reminisce,” Brady told Jim Gray on the SiriusXM podcast, Let’s Go!, when asked about the highly anticipated Sunday Night Football game. “I don’t think this is the moment for that. I’ll have plenty of opportunities to reminisce about my football career — none of it, none of which I really care to do right now because I’m so much in the moment.”

He added: “It will be obviously a fun week. There’s a lot of build-up, a lot of hype and I know it’s been going on for quite a while. I’m excited to go play a football game.”

The Buccaneers’ matchup with the Patriots will kick off at 8:20 PM, ET on Sunday.

Doodie Lo Honours Late King Von With “Nowhere” Video

The legacy of King Von lives on, thanks to his friend Doodie Lo. The rapper dropped his album Big Doodie Lo on August 27th, featuring the track “Nowhere,” which received its own music video earlier this week.

In the clip, the Illinois native can be seen mobbing in the streets with his crew before heading into a corner store and through a hallway where he pours himself up some lean. The 29-year-old is clearly dressed for a chilly day, wearing a heavy winter coat, a beanie, and plenty of flashy jewelry.

“Bring the choppas out, we gon’ do this shit for Grandson,” Doodie Lo raps, in honour of his late friend, King Von.

The video has already been viewed over 60,000 times, and plenty of fans have left kind words in the comments.

“Doodie is growing on me, every time I hear his music,” one person wrote. “Damn bro is going had on every song he is dropping #MadRespect,” another chimed in.

Freddie Gibbs Wants To Make An R&B Album After His Next Rap Project

The last few years have found Freddie Gibbs become a successful rapper, from 2014’s Piñata and 2019’s Bandana with Madlib, as well as 2020’s Alfredo. Alas, he’s grown tired of rap, and in a recent interview with Revolt, he shared what he wants to do next.

“This might be one of my last rap albums,” Gibbs said in regards to his upcoming album, SSS. “I ain’t gotta rap no more, man. After SSS, I’ma show y’all … I’m ’bout to bust out with an R&B album. R&B is what I started out doing before all the rap sh*t. Now, all you n****s just wanna make me rap all day, and I don’t wanna rap.” He added, “I wanna go back to my roots. I tried to get signed as an R&B singer in 2004, but every label in the world denied me. So, I had to do rap to get in the door.”

“I tricked y’all n****s into thinking I was a rapper,” he continued. “And I learned to rap so good — better than everybody else, it’s crazy. So now, I’m ’bout to come back to this R&B. And all the n****s that didn’t wanna do no songs with me, like Miguel and all them n****s, they’re gonna be like, ‘What’s up, Gibbs?’ And I’m ’bout to be king of this sh*t.”

This comes after he shared a pair tweets conveying similar ideas towards the end of last month. You can check out his full interview with Revolt here.

Freddie Gibbs is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Lil Nas X Misses P*ssy, Says, “This Gay Shit Was Fun At First”

If we didn’t know any better, we might’ve thought that Lil Nas X was publicly questioning his sexuality over the weekend. Luckily, the rapper has made it abundantly clear that he loves to troll his Twitter followers, which is exactly what he did last night.

“This gay shit was fun at first. I miss p*ssy now,” the 22-year-old tweeted on Friday, earning him upwards of 130,000 likes.

Kevin Abstract of BROCKHAMPTON, who is also gay, got in on the fun as well, replying, “p*ssy fire bro.”

It’s no secret that Lil Nas X fully embracing himself and his sexuality has a tendency to trigger some (his VMAs performance earlier this year earned him several complaints) so his friends and fans took full advantage of the singer’s joke.

“Bro chill with that straight shit,” one person replied, earning themselves a retweet from the “Industry Baby” rapper.

Shortly after sending out his initial tweet and causing a stir on Twitter, Lil Nas X quote tweeted himself saying, “nevermind he texted back.” Been there.

According to TMZ, the guy that’s got Nas riding an emotional rollercoaster is Yai Ariza, the actor/dancer who he got up close and personal with during the filming of his “That’s What I Want” music video.

Apparently, the two recently split, but there’s still potential for them to reconcile their romance. It’s unclear how long they were together before, although some of the rapper‘s tweets hinted that he was getting some good loving as of late.

Paul George Reveals What Moment From Last Year He Wants Back

Paul George had a lot of weight on his shoulders during the playoffs this past season as the Los Angeles Clippers’ biggest star, Kawhi Leonard, went down with a knee injury in the second round of the playoffs. As a result, George had to carry his team to victory, and in the end, he came very close as the Clippers eventually fell to the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals.

Now, Leonard is expected to be out all season long, which means George will have to carry the Clippers again, except this time, for much longer. It’s expected to be a rough season, although one that is still fairly manageable given the Clippers’ talent.

While speaking to ESPN reporter Ohm Youngmisuk, George spoke about last season and what moment the team would like to have back. As George explained, the team would love to go back to Game 4 against the Jazz when Leonard got his knee injury. His ACL is ultimately what cost the Clippers a spot in the NBA Finals, and who knows, maybe even an NBA title.

Regardless, the Clippers can’t take back the past, but they can certainly embrace the present and give their fans something to cheer for. The Clippers still have a lot to be excited about this season, and the prospect of Kawhi coming back in time for the postseason should be enough motivation for the team to put their best foot forward.

Ray Blk Drops Off “Access Denied”

RAY BLK has been teasing a new project over the past few months and finally, it’s here in all of its glory. The South London artist came through with Access Denied on Friday — a 14-song effort that puts a spotlight on her relatable songwriting, infectious melodies, and her ability to switch her rap flow on-and-off. The project is largely held down by RAY BLK but there are a few notable collaborations. Giggs appears on “Games” while Kojey Radical teams with RAY BLK on “Smoke.” Other artists who appear on the project are Kaash Paige, Suburban Plaza, and Stefflon Don.

“I want people to listen to this record and value themselves enough to deny access to those who are undeserving, and to also value themselves enough to keep believing in themselves when they’re denied access to certain spaces and say yes to themselves when the world tells them no,” she said of the project.

K Camp Cashes Out On “Blow Da Budget”

K Camp hasn’t missed once this year. The rapper’s delivered a steady stream of music in the past year but it feels like he’s picked up the pace in recent weeks. Camp, along with the RARE Sounds roster, have been carving their own lane within Atlanta, and the industry as a whole. Camp came through with his project FLOAT this past summer and continued to release loose singles on Soundcloud and YouTube.

Just two weeks after unveiling “Stars Aligned Freestyle,” K Camp is back at it again with another freestyle. This time, he brings it back to the strip club with “Blow Da Budget (Freestyle)” where he turns up the auto-tune and talks his sh*t.
