Billie Eilish To Star In “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Live Concert As “Sally”

This Halloween season, The Nightmare Before Christmas fans are in for a treat. Tim Burton’s beloved 1993 classic animated film has become a staple for the holiday season, and according to new reports, the movie is undergoing a remake of sorts. For those who may not be familiar with the movie, Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, is bored with the ongoings of the spooky season and instead, decided to take over Christmas, much to his chagrin.

The Nightmare Before Christmas will be coming to the Los Angeles Banc of California Stadium in just a few weeks, and Billie Eilish will be starring in the live-to-concert event alongside music icon Danny Elfman who is responsible for voicing Jack Skellington’s singing in the original film.

The 19-year-old Pop sensation will appear as Skellington’s love interest Sally and will reportedly give her rendition of “Sally’s Song.” An orchestra will accompany the Grammy winner and other stars include Weird Al Yankovic as Lock, one member of the troublemaking trio that includes Shock and Barrell, and Ken Page who will also appear to reprise his role as the nefarious Oogie Boogie.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have Billie joining up with the nightmare crew!” said Elfman in a statement. “This will be a real treat (not a trick)!”

Summer Walker Confirms “Still Over It” Release Date With Album Trailer

We’re just a month away from receiving a new album from Summer Walker and the singer isn’t wasting any time with her rollout. On Friday (October 1), our favorite artists gathered together for the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards and while Summer was all slated to attend, she later revealed that she opted not to show face due to COVID-19 regulations.

“So, I was super excited to go to the BET Hip Hop Awards today, but they wouldn’t let me in due to COVID restrictions,” she said in a video she shared to Instagram. “I had such a pretty dress and everything. It’s fine, BET love me, I still love BET.” Then she revealed she has a new project on the way.

Since that first announcement, Summer has teased a November release date but today (October 4), an official reveal has been shared. If you recall, the singer released her debut studio album Over It on this day two years ago, so it was only fitting that she secured Oct. 4 for her big announcement.

An accompanying trailer for Still Over It hit the internet, and although it was brief, fans are going wild after seeing City Girls hitmaker JT make an appearance. In the clip, Summer is on the phone complaining to her friend, JT, who just happens to be incarcerated. We’re sure we’ll receive a tracklist with features in due time, but while we wait, check out the trailer below.

Hurricane Chris Explains Why He’ll Never Say Anything Bad About Lil Nas X

He may be facing second-degree murder charges, but Hurricane Chris is confident that he will prevail. It was in the summer of 2020 when we reported on Hurricane Chris being involved in an incident in Louisiana. According to the “Halle Berry (She’s Fine)” hitmaker, he was at a gas station when a man attempted to rob him and take his vehicle. Chris claimed self-defense but later, authorities hit him with murder charges.

Hurricane Chris recently caught up with VladTV to speak about his career and being better than ever amid his controversy. During their discussion, Chris asked Vlad about his thoughts on Lil Nas X before giving his own opinions.

Vlad stated that years ago he predicted that an “out of the closet gay rapper with hit songs” having a moment in Hip Hop was “inevitable,” but Chris said he never thought the time would come.

“I always thought it was a masculine, manly dominated type sport,” said Chris. “I watched the VH1 awards or whatever, I forgot, it was some award show I watched the other day. Yo, *laughs*. The more they say about him, he doin’ more. It’s like the more they say about him, he goin’ even crazier and harder.”

Hurricane Chris also warned people about going against Lil Nas X. “Say somethin’ about him if you want to, you crazy,” he said. He had Vlad use him as an example and the only thing he would say about the “Industry Baby” star is, “Shout out to Lil Nas X.” Chris added, “I don’t play with women, I don’t beef with women, I don’t beef with gay people.”

“They know how to fight on a whole ‘nother level. They fight for real, dirty. They play how they play. I don’t beef with women, I don’t beef with gay people.” Check out the clip below.

“It was impossible for me to just choose one, all of these organizations resonated with me and I wanted to make sure there was some range and breadth to the love I was spreading,” said the rapper. “It means everything. It’s my foundation. It’s part of my DNA. People joke about how often I reference my home, but it’s a huge part of my identity and I want you to think of Louisville when you think of me,” Harlow explains. “My career feels like a mission that’s bigger than me.”

“I took some counsel from my mom, she has always had a giving heart, and she’s no stranger to a lot of these organizations. Aside from that, I really wanted to dive in and figure out what hit home for me.”

YN Jay Enlists Lil Uzi Vert For “Coochie Scout Pt. 2”

Coochie is always on YN Jay’s mind, as he’s expressed throughout his entire catalog. In fact, it was on 2020’s Coochie Land that he declared himself to be the “Coochie Scout” on one of the album’s highlights. This week, he returned with part 2 of the single with some help from none other than Lil Uzi Vert. The two rappers bond over their shared enthusiasm for coochie. “Bitch, you gotta let Uzi fuck you, that’s my coochie friend,” YN Jay declares on the record. Uzi matches YN Jay’s eccentricity over the track for an equally hilarious yet hard anthem.

The song has been highly anticipated ever since Lil Uzi Vert took to IG Live where he previewed a snippet of the record.

Q-Tip Details Frustrations About Trying To Get Megan Thee Stallion Signed Years Ago

The story of Megan Thee Stallion’s rise in the Rap game has been shared dozens of times. The Houston native has described being a rhyme-writing hopeful, following in her mother’s footsteps. Megan has shared stories of being in the studio with her late mother, watching in awe as she recorded music, but what not many knows is that Q-Tip was a supporter of her career.

Megan previously spoke about Q-Tip’s co-sign in an interview back in 2019, but a recent clip from Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion shows the A Tribe Called Quest icon discussing his frustration with labels who failed to sign Megan.

“We call her house, her mom’s on the phone. I’m talking to her mom like, ‘Yo, I saw your daughter. She’s incredible,” he said, adding that because he had an insignia deal with Columbia Records, he had the opportunity to sign artists. Megan was one of his potential signees so he flew her to New York for a meeting with the iconic label.

Q-Tip explained that at the time, he had an “insignia deal” with Columbia Records, and was looking to sign new artists. He brought Megan to New York and set up a meeting with Columbia, but it wasn’t as successful as he had hoped.

“The head of the company wasn’t there, Ron Perry, I guess he was detained, but we took the meeting anyways,” said Q-Tip. “We sit at the meeting, it’s great. The dude comes back, ‘We saw the views, she’s good, we saw the views and everything, it was whatever. We could give her like $30,000.’ Just say you don’t wanna f*cking sign her, B. Don’t f*cking embarrass me like that.”

When he took things over to his label, Def Jam, he received a similar response. Q-Tip said that executives told him that the “co-sign” was no longer something labels were interested in and they were prioritizing data and numbers over anything else. Megan currently has deals with 300 Entertainment, Atlantic Records, and 1501 Certified Entertainment.
