Rick Ross Agrees To Pay $11K In Monthly Child Support

Following a short-lived court case, rapper Rick Ross has agreed to fork up $11,000 in monthly child support payments to the mother of his three children, Briana Singleton.

We previously reported on their child support case, which kicked off while Singleton was pregnant with their third child together. After about a year’s worth of discussions in court, it is being reported that Ross and Singleton have reached a figure, agreeing on $11,000 for monthly payouts.

According to TMZ, Ross will also need to pay for his kids’ health insurance, their extracurricular expenses (once that figure surpasses $7,560), and additional annual payments of up to $3,000 per child.

Ross will also be paying for Singleton’s attorney, footing the $25,000 bill. Considering their financial disparity — Ross makes $585,000 every month and Singleton only makes $142 monthly — the rapper shouldn’t have an issue ensuring that his kids, and their mother, are well taken care of. After all, he lives in one of the most gorgeous homes in the entire country, expanding his Promiseland Estate last year by 87 acres.

Rick Ross and Briana Singleton have three children together: Berkeley, Billion, and Bliss. Ross also has two children from a previous relationship.

Diddy & Kanye Link Up For “Superhero Sh*t

Kanye West and Puff Daddy aka Diddy aka Sean Combs are two of hip-hop’s biggest icons.

Dominating their respective fields for decades at a time, West and Diddy have both dictated some of the biggest trends in rap music and continue to push the envelope and dominate conversation to this day.

With Diddy’s back and forth with Jermaine Dupri about Verzuz battles and Dupri’s arms not being long enough and West’s Donda rollout and never-ending cycle of rumors and drama surrounding his marriage with Kim Kardashian, both icons have seen their share of media attention recently and over the weekend, the pair kicked it at a house party and apparently had the time of their lives.

Listening to Donda and presumably chopping it up about things every day, regular people just wouldn’t understand, Diddy and West were caught on video living it up and, in a photo posted to Puffy’s official Instagram account, the pair got into some “Superhero sh*t.”

Posted on a couch and surrounded by red Solo cups and a bottle on the table in front of them, Ye leans into Puff who’s flashing a smile for the ages. Rocking his customary full-faced mask with dark sunglasses and gloves, Kanye seems to be doubling down on his connection with Marilyn Manson who, in the midst of accusations of grooming and sexual abuse, appeared at the third and final Donda listening party in Chicago.

A simple photo with a simple caption, this Diddy IG post is an interesting window into the lives of two of the biggest names in hip-hop and music itself. Most of the time we see people of this stature in clubs with expensive bottles or in private rooms sipping on rare wines but last night, we got to see a more human version of two icons, sipping out of the same plastic cups you’d find at a college football tailgate.

What do you think of Ye and Puff linking up? Will any music or business moves come out of this rendezvous? Let us know in the comments.

Kanye West Updates “DONDA” On Streaming Services, Removes Chris Brown

Kanye West is known to be quite the perfectionist, and he’s proved that again by updating his latest studio album DONDA post-release on streaming services.

A few years ago, Kanye made headlines with all of the post-release changes he made to The Life Of Pablo. He’s making slight alterations once again, as fans have remarked an updated version of the album on streaming services.

The only changes to the album are remarkably small tweaks, but they have been pointed out by dozens of fans on social media. The most noticeable change is the removal of Chris Brown on “New Again,” who originally sang backing vocals. Kanye and the Sunday Service Choir have replaced him with their own vocals.

Similarly, on “Keep My Spirit Alive,” KayCyy’s hook has vanished, and now, it’s sung by Kanye.

It was also noted that the bass was boosted on “Junya.” On “God Breathed,” “Come To Life,” and “Jail Pt. 2,” there were minor mixing changes.

The updated version of the album is presently available on Spotify and Apple Music. Let us know what you think of the alterations and which version of the album has been the best so far.

Last week, it was also reported that Drake made some post-release changes to his new album Certified Lover Boy, which you can read about here.

R. Kelly Shares A Statement After Being Found Guilty: ‘I Will Continue To Prove My Innocence’

For years now, R. Kelly’s future has hung in the balance as the controversial singer has faced charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Yesterday, he was found guilty of those charges and could end up spending the rest of his life in prison, or at least a significant chunk of time. After the verdict was rendered, Kelly offered a statement.

On his Facebook page, he shared a message for his followers, in which he said he was disappointed by the verdict and proclaimed his innocence: “To all my fans and supporters I love you all and thank you for all the support. Today’s verdict was disappointing and I will continue to prove my innocence and fight for my freedom. #notguilty.”

R. Kelly/Facebook

Meanwhile, Kelly’s attorney, Deveraux Cannick, spoke outside the courthouse after the verdict, saying (via Revolt):

“Of course Mr. Kelly is disappointed. He was not anticipating this verdict because based on the evidence, why should he anticipate this verdict? […] You saw witness after witness giving three, four, five different versions as to what they said happened here. […] You didn’t get to see what we saw in terms of the discovery. You didn’t get to see all the inconsistencies. We said in our summation that the government cherry-picked their version that they thought would support the continuation of the narrative. Why would he expect this verdict given all the inconsistencies that we saw?”

There’s still some time before we know what will become of Kelly, as his sentencing date is set for May 4, 2022.

Lizzo Praised Lil Nas X’s Debut Album ‘Montero’ With A Heartfelt, Celebratory Tweet

Lizzo is the kind of artist who is always ready to celebrate others. Maybe that’s just her nature, maybe it’s because she was grinding so long and hard before her own big break, either way, she’s the queen of recognizing when others are having a pivotal moment. And I think we can all agree that, right now, Lil Nas X is having one. After he broke out huge with the “Old Town Road” fiasco, Billy Ray Cyrus remix, record-breaking Billboard performance and more, plenty of people chalked all that extra noise up to one-hit-wonder ephemera. Little did they know he had plenty more internet-breaking to do.

Now, his debut album Montero is finally out, and doing things like landing at No. 2 on the Billboard album chart, generating three top-ten hitsgetting eleven tracks onto the chart. Lizzo was one of the first to let the young rapper know how proud she is of his success, sharing her all caps celebration on Twitter:

Billboard reports that Snoop Dogg told Fallon his next record will be titled Algorithm and will arrive sometime in November. There will reportedly be several “big-name acts,” but that isn’t the only project he is preparing. Snoop is working on a kids album for Def Jam and he detailed what the youngins can expect.

“I was a fan of Def Jam Records as a kid, and knowing the talent that they have over there and the opportunity that was waiting on me, I wanted to go over there and give a lot of opportunity to the artists over there to get some information, some wisdom and some guidance from me and then also develop some new acts and give some opportunity,” Def Jam’s executive creative and strategic consultant said.

“So, Def Jam was the perfect place for me, considering how much I love it and how much it means to hip-hop and how it really needed somebody like me to change the energy of the building. I’m over there for one reason: to get the music back poppin’ and to make the people feel the way they’re supposed to.”

We’ll keep you updated on both of those projects.

It was an interesting weekend for Kelly Price after she was reported as a missing person. Shaq Doesn’t Want To Be Called A Celebrity: “I’m Done With It”

He’s one of the most famous sports figures in the world but Shaquille O’Neal does not want to be known as a celebrity. In our current culture, it seems as everyone is vying for their 15 minutes of fame, but while millions are hoping to be the faces behind the net big trend, Shaq doesn’t want any part of the title.

Shaq is known to be an approachable figure and we often hear stories about him doing good deeds while out and about. While speaking with the New York Post about his Kellogg campaign, the Los Angeles Lakers icon explained why he dodges the “Celebrity” label.

“These celebrities are going freaking crazy and I don’t want to be one,” he told the outlet. “I denounce my celebrity-ness today. I’m done with it… I don’t want to be in that category. Celebrities are crazy, they really are,” he added. “Don’t call me that anymore. These people are out of their freaking minds with how they treat people, what they do, what they say. That’s never been me. I never want to be looked at like that.”

“All my life, everyone probably gets stereotyped, but us celebrities, we get stereotyped because most of these celebrities are out of their mind. I don’t do that. I’m a regular person that listened, followed his dreams, and made it. But just because I made it doesn’t mean I’m bigger than you. Just ’cause I made it doesn’t mean I’m smarter than you. Just ’cause I have more money than you doesn’t mean I’m better than you.”

“I’ve never been that way, and I’ll never be that way. So, I don’t want to be in that category with them people.” Still, it may be difficult for the world to see him as otherwise, but his fans understood his point. Check out Shaq explaining himself below.

Omarion Issues Challenge After His Dance Moves Go Viral On TikTok

It is always entertaining when artists are able to laugh at themselves. The industry is filled with fake personas and tough images, so when someone is able to step back and take in a few jokes about their viral moments, fans eat it up. The latest artist to receive TikTok attention is Omarion who has recently made waves on the app over a years-old performance.

In a clip, Omarion is seen on stage as he breaks out in what looks to be an impromptu dance moment. The singer is well known for his moves, but people couldn’t help but laugh about the steps all these years later.

Fredo Bang Wants Out Of His Def Jam Contract

Another artist is calling out their label. We’ve witnessed several artists grow frustrated with their representation, often taking to social media to air out their grievances. Publicly calling out management teams or label heads may seem like a messy way to get one’s point across, however, it can be effective. YBN Almighty Jay fought long and hard to become an independent artist, and after publicly stating that he wanted out of his Atlantic Records contract, he was granted his freedom.

The latest to request independence or a new label home is Lousiana’s Fredo Bang.

Last month, the rising rapper revealed that he contracted COVID-19 amid news regarding his album, Murder Made Me. At the time, Fredo was incarcerated following his arrest ahead of his Rolling Loud Miami performance. The rapper was detained in connection to the 2019 shooting at the Trump International Beach Resort in Florida. It was reported that NBA YoungBoy was allegedly the intended target but instead, the rapper’s girlfriend was injured and a 43-year-old bystander was killed.

It is unclear what has prompted Fredo Bang to express discontent with his label, but he wrote, “@defjam how much for my contract? I’m going somewhere I’m valued.” That’s where the messages began and ended as Fredo didn’t offer up any other information. Hopefully, he can find resolve sooner than later.

Check out his post below.
