Anthony Fantano Says He Wishes New Kendrick Lamar Snippet Is Fake
Kendrick Lamar is set to make a few appearances on Baby Keem’s new album, which drops tonight, and fans are already very confused over one of the previewed verses.
The Compton-born rapper may be universally known as one of the greatest talents in the world, but the same people who normally praise Kendrick are presently perplexed over his latest musical contribution. While his verse on “family ties” has been praised as one of the better offerings from the entire year, his work on “Range Brothers” simply has fans wondering what on earth Kenny was thinking while he was recording the song.

“Top o’ the morning/Top o’ the morning/Top o’ the morning,” repeats Kendrick six times before he switches things up, saying, “Let’s get this shit/Let’s get this shit/Let’s get this shit.”
“What the HELL is Kendrick Lamar doing bruh,” said one fan, sharing a preview of the record on Twitter. The post has been “liked” nearly 30,000 times, and over 8,000 people have retweeted it.
This comes after Kendrick reportedly registered dozens of new songs on ASCAP, which means that we could be nearing his upcoming album release. Previously, the rapper said that his next album would be his last as a member of the TDE label. Moving forward, fans are expecting him to operate out of his pgLang label.

Drake Celebrates His “Certified Classics” With Nostalgic Artwork
As Hip-Hop fans have seen over the past week, Drake’s Certified Lover Boy has been met with mixed reception. Pitchfork has deemed the “You Only Live Twice” rapper’s sixth studio album a 6.6 out of 10, and Anthony Fantano really ripped the project to shreds with a 3/10 rating. Regardless, Certified Lover Boy appears to be continuing to perform well commercially. According to one Zimbabwean artist, who operates on Instagram under the handle @huliodraws, Certified Lover Boy is a certified classic.
HulioDraws recently shared some nostalgic artwork that features a mantle that reads “Certified classics” and displays framed album covers of Thank Me Later, Take Care, Nothing Was The Same, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Views, More Life, Scorpion, Dark Lane Demo Tapes, and Certified Lover Boy.

Underneath the “certified classics,” eight different versions of Drake, and each with their own style relative to the eras of the projects shown above them. In the forefront of the piece, the Thank Me Later-era Drake is about to shake hands with the current heart haircut Certified Lover Boy-era Drake, and it is awe-inspiring to see how far he has come.
See the Zimbabwean artist’s stunning work, which has also already been reposted by Drake and Young Money, below.
When reposting the artwork to his timeline, Drake tagged HulioDraws and left the simple, yet optimistic caption, “What’s Next?”
The artwork not only gives himself and his fans a moment to reflect on his discography over the past decade, but also opens the floor for a debate on how many classic albums the Toronto-bred artist actually boasts in his catalog. Since the HulioDraws artwork notably leaves off So Far Gone, which is often regarded as a classic mixtape, out of the “Certified Classics” mantle, are there any projects featured in the piece that you think deserve to be considered a classic? Let us know in the comments.

Shaq Hits Damian Lillard With A Harsh Truth
Throughout the past decade, Damian Lillard has made it crystal clear that he is not a fan of creating super teams. He wants to win a title with the franchise that drafted him and while the Portland Trail Blazers have failed to give him the proper supporting cast to win a championship, he is still toughing it out with them. Even this summer, there were plenty of rumors that Dame was on his way out, although he stuck to his guns and told reporters that he would be staying in Portland for the season.
While many find this mentality to be inspiring, there are others who believe that Dame needs to start doing what is right for him. Among those critics is none other than Shaq, who recently spoke to Rich Eisen about Lillard’s situation. As he explained, Lillard isn’t going to win in Portland and while he does have an old-school mentality, he needs to look inward and embrace a new team.
Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images
“He is an old school mentality guy that’s playing in the new school. The old-school guy would say, ‘I’m not teaming up with you, I’m gonna beat you’. But these new school guys would say, ‘hey, let’s team up to make it easier’. So that’s the toughest decision for him,” Shaq said. “I know he wants to stay in Portland and win it out. But he may have to switch up his mentality… if everybody else is doing it, then that’s just gonna keep him further from winning a championship… Should he go to a contender if he wants to brighten his chance of winning a championship? I’d say he should do that. I don’t really like guys teaming up, but it’s just the way it is these days. If he can get to a team that already has two or three guys, and you add him. That raises his chances of winning a championship.”
This season will be a difficult one for the Blazers as they failed to pick up any big-name free agents over the summer months. Regardless, Lillard is a superstar in the league and he is more than ready to carry this team throughout the season.
Let us know which team you think would be a great fit for Dame, in the comments below.

Lil Nas X And Elton John Trade Iconic Looks In A New UberEats Campaign
Lil Nas X and Elton John have become quite the pair. The two performers are separated by decades of age and experience, but linked by their status as queer icons. That connection became more apparent when Lil Nas X revealed that the “Rocketman” singer will feature on his upcoming debut album but their collaborations apparently didn’t stop there. Both are featured together in a new campaign for Uber Eats, “Tonight I’ll Be Eating,” appearing in ads showing off their shared sense of flamboyant style.
In a press release, Nas said of the near-50-year industry veteran, “I’m so excited and honored to be working with the legendary Elton John on this Uber Eats campaign. We had so much fun on set deciding what’s for dinner and trying on each other’s most iconic looks. I can’t wait for everyone to see it!” John, meanwhile, was equally effusive in his praise for the younger artist, saying, “It’s been absolutely wonderful partnering with Lil Nas X, one of the most influential voices in pop culture, and with Uber Eats, my faithful favorite for everything delicious. From taking selfies to deciding to swap looks on set, working together has been a blast.”
Both artists have new projects in the offing; Nas, as previously mentioned, drops his much-hyped debut album Montero this Friday after a rollout that included everything from Lisa Frank-resembling cover art to pregnancy photos — complete with a gift registry where fans can donate to causes important to Nas. Elton’s new project, Lockdown Sessions, is due October 22 and sees him collaborating with contemporary artists like Young Thug and Nicki Minaj.

Chris Bosh Explains Why He Left Toronto For The Heat
During his early seasons in the league, Chris Bosh was a beast with the Toronto Raptors. At the time, the team was struggling in the absence of Vince Carter and they needed someone who could carry the team to greatness. For the most part, Bosh could only do so much as he took the team to the playoffs, but couldn’t turn them into contenders. He knew that he needed some help and in 2010, that help came as he was able to link up with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on the Miami Heat.
From there, Bosh won two NBA titles and he cemented himself as a star player in the NBA. Recently, Bosh got to talk about his decision to join the Heat, on SiriusXM Radio. As one can imagine, Bosh’s motivations were always pure and they were driven by his desire to win a title and be mentioned among some of the best names to ever do it.

“One message in particular stuck out in my head saying, ‘You want to play on the big stage.’ That always stuck with me. I wanted to compete for a championship,” Bosh said via Fadeaway World. “I wanted to be like Jordan. I wanted to be like Kobe. I wanted to be like Tim Duncan. Those guys elevated their game and got with the Boston (Celtics), and now they’re playing at that level. I wanted to play at that level. That was the most important thing to me.”
While Bosh’s career was cut short due to blood clot issues, he remains a beloved player in the history of the Heat. The team even retired his number this past season, and moving forward, he will continue to be looked at as the most sympathetic player on those big three championship teams.
