Lizzo Joked That She’s Pregnant With Chris Evans’ Baby, Which Prompted A Perfect Response From The Actor

It all started with drunk DMs.

In April, Lizzo had some beverages and proceeded to send some messages to Chris Evans on Instagram. From there, the two forged a friendship, and it seems now that things have been taken to a new level (but not really). Lizzo revealed that she’s pregnant with Evans’ baby (but not really) and he continues to play along.

Over some music from Captain America: The First Avenger, Lizzo said in a recent TikTok video, “This is something that I’ve been really trying to keep personal and private between me and the father of my child, but since we’re airing out all the rumors today, I’ve been sucking in. We’re gonna have a little America!”

A few days later, Lizzo shared a screenshot of a message from Evans, who wrote, Hi! Just heard about our little bundle of joy [crying laughing emoji] my mother will be so happy lol.” He added in another message, “(Just promise me no gender reveal parties lol).”

To recap the Lizzo/Evans situation that led to this, Lizzo sent Evans a drunk DM, he was a good sport about it, and the two seem to have maintained a social media relationship from there.

Lizzo is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Jack Harlow & Pooh Shiesty Are Dropping New Single At Noon

Pooh Shiesty may have recently faced a major career setback following his incarceration in June, which essentially slammed all of his momentum to a grinding halt. Unfortunately for Gucci Mane’s 1017 signee, that momentum was driven by major early-career milestones — namely a hit single in “Back In Blood” and a position in the 2021 XXL Freshman Class.

Still, that’s not to say Sheisty Season has wrapped up. Jack Harlow, who is currently in the midst of his own epic run, has officially confirmed that he’ll be dropping a Pooh Shiesty-assisted single at noon today.

The rapper took to Twitter to unveil the artwork for “SUVs (Black on Black),” and while it’s rarely wise to judge a song by its cover, perhaps we’re looking at a more hard-hitting and unapologetic release from Harlow. It will certainly be interesting to see how he sounds alongside Shiesty, and given that Harlow is the primary artist, perhaps we can assume that he’s gearing up to roll out his sophomore studio album.

As for Shiesty, it’s unlikely that we’ll be seeing a proper follow-up to Shiesty Season anytime soon, though it’s entirely possible that his label will do their best to throw together something that’s more-or-less cohesive. In the meantime, another Shiesty verse will always be welcome, and it should be fun to hear how his style complements Harlow’s own.

Look for the upcoming single “SUVs (Black On Black)” to land later this afternoon, at 12 PM EST.

Chris Evans Reacts To Lizzo Joking About Him Being Her Baby’s Father

Lizzo is currently gearing up to release “Rumors,” her first new single in two years, but she recently joked on TikTok about having much more serious things to worry about. A fan recently commented under one of her recent videos, “lizzo baby… we know your [pregnant] and we know its Chris Evans now spill the tea.”

Lizzo playfully went on with the comment by posting a video in response in which she “aired out the rumor” about her and the Knives Out actor. Instead of denying it, however, Lizzo played a song from the Captain America: The First Avenger soundtrack in the background of her video and said, “This is something that I’ve really been trying to keep personal and private just between me and the father of my child, but since we’re airing out all the rumors today…I’ve been sucking in. We’re gonna have a little America!”

Both Chris Evans and Lizzo have a history of hopping into each other’s DMs, so once Chris Evans caught wind of Lizzo jokingly claiming that he’s her baby father, he immediately reached out to her once again.

“Hi! Just heard about our little bundle of joy my mother will be so happy lol,” Chris Evans writes in Lizzo’s DMs before doubling back with a quick disclaimer. “(Just promise me no gender reveal parties lol).”

Upon receiving the former Captain America star‘s message, Lizzo decided to share it by turning it into a lighthearted TikTok in which she “confirmed” the identity of her baby’s father. “OMG YALL— HE SAW THE BABY BUMP! WE DID IT!” the Cuz I Love You artist wrote in the video’s caption. “NOW YALL GOTTA NAME LIL MERICA!!!!! WHAT YALL BOUTA NAME MY BABY ?!”

Back in June, Black and Jackboy’s falling out became public after the two rappers traded blows on social media. In the time since, Black has continued to troll Jackboy online by throwing $100,000 into the ocean and more.

Jackboy appeared unfazed, at the time, saying on social media that he’s just happy to be as successful as he has been: “I’m not gonna go in detail or explain shit to nobody. I don’t care. I do not care about Instagram that much I never wanted to be a rapper in my life. I started rapping probably like, three years ago, four years ago. This shit don’t mean that much to me. I made millions off this shit! I already won. I bought my mom a house. I won. I bought my mom a car, paid off, I won. All my cars, I got three cars, paid off. I won. Like, I’m not gonna come on here and talk bad about my brother.”

He added, “One on one I’m gonna tell you, ‘Ay, boy, you lame as fuck!’ but to [the audience], I don’t care if the sky is green in this muthafucka — the sky is green! But one on one, ‘Ay boy, you know the sky is blue — boy stop playing like that.’”
