DaBaby has had a few run-ins with the law during his come up in the rap game but it was reported this morning that the rapper was being questioned over a shooting in Miami. According to Miami journalist and Fox Sports 640 South Florida host Andy Slater who has been following the story, the rapper was finally released from police custody and is no longer being questioned. This comes after Slater reported that police said DaBaby had fired at least one round outside of Prime 112 in Miami. DaBaby reportedly told officers that it was in self-defense. Additionally, another rapper named Wisdom was also being questioned earlier today.

DaBaby has yet to issue a statement or make any public response but perhaps, this particular incident will inspire a couple of bars down the line.

Aside from his recent brush with the law, the rapper recently secured seven nominations at the BET Awards. He and Megan Thee Stallion both tied each other for most nominations at the upcoming award show. The two will be facing off for Album Of The Year as well as Best Collaboration that includes their record, “Cry Baby.”

Seth Rogen Teases “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Reboot, Shares Film Release Date

Our favorite heroes in a half-shell are returning to the silver screen. That’s right, we’re getting yet another installment of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and this time, Seth Rogen is slated to be involved in the reboot. It was way back in 1984 when the world was first introduced to the crime-fighting mutant turtles, their rat sensei Splinter, and their human ally, April O’Neil. Some of you may be old enough to remember the cartoons as well as the 1990s film franchise.

In 2014, Michael Bay rebooted the franchise for a live-action film that brought in over $1 billion at the box office, and it looks as if producers are hoping for yet another blockbuster hit.

On Twitter, Rogen made the announcement that TMNT will be back on the big screen. It looks as if the film is slated for release sometime in 2023 and will feature a partnership of both Seth Rogen and Nickelodeon at the helm of the CG-animated production. In his tweet, Rogen included a sketch that was poised to look as if it was ripped from the pages of Leonardo’s notebook.

Variety reports, “The page makes jokes and references about his brothers and ‘TMNT’ teammates Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello and their friend April O’Neil.” Viewers can see that Leonardo, who is often dubbed the respectable leader of the pack, has included the words “honor” and “loyalty” in his doodles.

Check it out below and let us know if you’re looking forward to this reboot.

Akbar V Gets Slammed For Calling Alexis Skyy’s Special Needs Daughter “R*tarded”

It was a busy Monday (May 31) evening for Akbar V. The rapper and Love & Hip Hop star is often noticed for her outrageous comments regarding her fellow artists and pop culture, but an event that unfolded outside of a nightclub in Philadelphia rolled over into an online drama. Videos surfaced showing Akbar V getting into a verbal—and nearly physical—altercation with Alexis Skyy and Lira Galore. The latter two ladies were out and about hosting an event, and it seemed that Akbar found out about it, showed up at the club, and then became offended when Lira allegedly remarked that Akbar was looking at her funny.

The offline antics spilled into an online spat, and in retaliation, Alexis allegedly told Akbar to take care of her children. In response, Akbar jumped on Instagram Live and said, “B*tch, you got a braindead baby,” she yelled, mentioning Skyy’s young daughter who was born with Hydrocephalus and went through numerous surgeries to save her life. “Your baby ain’t got brain. B*tch, you got a r*tarded child.”

Akbar continued to go off about Alexis’s daughter and accused the model of doing drugs while pregnant. “You got a f*ckin’ r*tarded kid, a special need kid, and you out here talkin’ ’bout somebody children.” Alexis responded angrily, and tearfully, in a video of her own where she is seen screaming about the situation.

Later, the father of Alexis’s child wrote a lengthy post where he denied that she ever did drugs during her pregnancy. He revealed that he was with her the entire time and there were no drugs noted by doctors or physicians during the child’s birth or her hospital visits. Akbar has received backlash for her remarks.

Damson Idris Reacts To Trolls After Posing Question About Men Getting Curved

In a way to interact with fans, celebrities are often advised to pose random questions that engage their social media followers. They’re usually about pop culture or relationships as the public never ceases on sharing opinions about either topic, but Damson Idris found himself on the receiving end of troll behavior when he recently delivered a tweet.

The Snowfall star wrote, “Question. Ladies if a guy keeps texting you to meet up but you know you will NEVER want to why don’t you just tell him?”

It was innocent enough, but soon, Damson’s timeline was flooded with people teasing him because they assumed he was speaking about a personal experience. However, the actor returned to clarify. “Chill I don’t get curved lol,” the actor stated in a follow-up tweet. ‘I just ask the questions men want to hear. Why be on twitter if we can’t have stimulating conversations. But more importantly, if I’m ever ‘corny’ to you then your not my type anyway.”

Damnson’s fans applauded him for his response to the negativity, but he eventually took a short break and deactivated his Twitter account. The actor returned shortly after, only to post a GIF of Donald Glover on Community. Check it out below.

Sicilian Mafia Boss Known As “People Slayer” Released From Prison

A ruthless Sicilian Mafia crime boss who has been to several gruesome murders, including the killing of a famous anti-Mafia prosecutor, has been released from prison after serving 25 years, CBS reports.

Brusca is being released after serving a 25-year sentence after becoming an informant for officials to help take down other members of the mob. On Monday, he was released from Rebibbia prison in Rome and is set to serve four years on probation.

Giovanni Brusca, known to many as the “People Slayer,” played a pivotal role in the Cosa Nostra, serving under Salvatore “Toto” Riina.” Brusca reportedly admitted to hundreds of murders including the bomb that killed prosecutor Giovanni Falcone in 1992. The infamous murder took place after Falcone’s efforts to take down the mob. Along with Falcone, his wife and three bodyguards also died in the explosion.

News of Brusca’s release has been met with pushback. The wife of one of the bodyguards described Brusca’s release as a slap in the face. “The state is against us – after 29 years we still don’t know the truth about the massacre and Giovanni Brusca, the man who destroyed my family, is free,” Tina Montinaro,” told Republica.

Brusca is also notoriously known for the murder of the 12-year-old son of Giuseppe Di Matteo, a mafia member who cooperated with authorities. Brusca reportedly strangled the child and threw him into acid — an act that authorities called “one of the most heinous crimes in the history of the Cosa Nostra.”
