Rihanna Stuns In Sheer On Her Self-Styled ‘Vogue Italia” Cover

Honestly, is there anything Rihanna can’t do? The pop star turned fashion and beauty connoisseur has been taking a much-earned break from the music industry since releasing Anti to build her colossal empire. While fans continue to beg for new music from the hitmaker, she’s singlehandedly changed the beauty and lingerie game as we knew it with her Fenty lines.

Throughout the course of her stellar career, she’s managed to grace the cover of nearly every major publication. For her latest Vogue Italia cover, the Basian beauty tried her hand at styling and photography for the shoot.

“The do it yourself issue,” captioned the 33-year-old songstress in the caption of the cover photo she shared to her Instagram followers. She stunned in a sexy mesh cutout dress for the photo, pairing the gown with strappy heels showing off her infamous legs–which were once insured by Gillette for $1 million.

Vogue Italia Editor-In-Chief Emanuele Farneti spoke candidly about how the self-directed shoot came together. “On set Rihanna played simultaneously the artist and the muse, the observer and the observed, the director and the character, experimenting on the fine line that exists between the two sides of an artist. In recent years we have tried to use our cover in many different ways: with photography or illustrations, or with no images at all.”

“But we’ve never invited the featured person to do everything by themselves: to pose, take the photographs and choose the clothes to wear. If there was a right occasion for this new experiment, it could only have been the DIY issue,” continued Farneti. “Neither could there have been a better protagonist than Rihanna – who has appeared on so many covers, but never like this time in the version in which she, and only she, has chosen to portray herself, without filters or any mediation.”

In other Rihanna news, A$AP Rocky recently confirmed he was dating the superstar in an interview, dubbing her “the love of his life.”

Rick Ross Displays Impressive Punching Power While Boxing

Boxing has always been an incredibly popular sport although there is no denying that it is at the top of people’s minds these days thanks to the uptick in celebrity vanity fights. For instance, Jake Paul’s deep dive into the world of boxing has been incredibly polarizing, although it has more people interested in the sport than ever before. Not to mention, Mike Tyson’s recent comeback brought back old fans who hadn’t been engaged in the sport for years.

With boxing continuing its upwards trajectory, more and more people are starting to practice the sport, and it’s certainly been fun to see. One of the people who has been giving boxing their all as of late is none other than legendary rapper Rick Ross. Ross has been working hard in the gym and boxing has been a huge part of his routine.

50 Cent Gives An Exclusive BTS Look At ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Season 2

It’s been a little over a year since the conclusion of 50 Cent’s Power series after airing its sixth and final season. The widely popular series quickly became one of the most watch show’s on cable, subsequently leading Starz to develop four spin-offs in the same universe as the original series.

The first in the sequence of spin-offs is Power Book II: Ghost, which premiered on the network in September of last year. Renewed for a second season in the same month, 50 Cent is now giving fans an exclusive peek behind the scenes as the cast films the highly-anticipated sophomore season.

“Behind the scenes of Ghost season 2 [Michael Rainey Jr.] acting like a diva, i had to go find his ass LOL. Green Light Gang,” penned 50 in the caption of the footage shared Saturday (June 5). The video in question, which is set to the iconic Power theme song “Big Rich Town” performed by 50 himself, shows the rap mogul embracing Rainey as they caught up on set.

Rainey stars as Tariq St. Patrick, the son of James “Ghost” St. Patrick and Tasha Green-St.Patrick. Ghost follows the life of Tariq as he navigates his new life as a drug dealer in a similar way his father did. As for when fans can expect season 2, it’s currently up in the air.

“I feel like our schedule has just completely shifted because of COVID,” explained Shane Johnson, who plays Cooper Saxe on the series, when he was asked when to expect a subsequent season. “So, I don’t know. I don’t know.”

In other Fif news, three men have recently been charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, conspiracy to commit burglary, and criminal mischief after breaking into a corporate apartment in New Jersey leased by the rap mogul and stealing up to $3 million in both jewelry and cash back in January.

Kodak Black Challenges J. Cole, Drake & Chris Brown To A 1-On-1

There are quite a few solid ballplayers in the rap game but chances of them going to the league are as likely as Damian Lillard winning a Grammy for Best Rap Album. That’s not to say Dame isn’t deserving of it but he would have to compete with artists who are in the studio as much as he’s in the gym. However, it’s not entirely impossible, especially since J. Cole fulfilled his hoop dreams during his brief stint in the Basketball Africa League.

Apparently, Kodak Black is keen on becoming a basketball star in his own right. The Florida rapper took to Instagram in a since-deleted post where he showcased his skills on the court with a message to a few of the rappers in the game who’ve proven themselves in the game of basketball.

“Any rapper wanna bet sumn, catch a park!!!” He wrote on Instagram along with a video of himself shooting an airball. The rapper said that he and Lil Baby have already confirmed that they will play each other for $100K, which, in all fairness, seems like a perfect match-up of skill. However, Baby isn’t the only rapper Kodak is trying to play. He called out Lil Durk, J. Cole, Drake, Chris Brown, and even 42 Dugg.

“I’m tryna see @realcoleworld @lildurk & my n***a @chrisbrownofficial & @champagnepapi,” he added before calling out one of Detroit’s brightest new stars. “@42_duggg Ima just dunk on you.”

Judging by his recent Instagram posts, Kodak is sharpening his skills on both the basketball and tennis court. Peep his post below.

LeBron James Reveals The Lakers’ Main Priority This Summer

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are officially out of the playoffs but that doesn’t mean their work is done. Now, the team has to look forward to next season, where they will try to come back both healthier and stronger. There are a lot of free agents on this Lakers roster and it’s clear that General Manager Rob Pelinka will have a lot to sort out once the free agency period opens up in August.

While speaking to reporters recently, LeBron spoke about the team’s priorities in the offseason and what they need to get done in order to compete next season. As James says in the clip below, the key is getting Anthony Davis healthy so that he can get back to his form from just a year ago, when the team won the NBA title.

“I trust Rob, I trust Kurt [Rambis], trust everyone upstairs that does their diligence and our coaching staff and things of that nature,” LeBron said. “Obviously number one thing for us is getting AD healthy. That’s number one. It doesn’t matter what changes we make. We got to get big fella healthy and needs back to where he was before the injury.”

It’s going to be a long summer for the team, although when the season starts back up next October, it seems likely that the Lakers will be back to their winning ways. Whether or not they can get some big-time free agents, however, remains to be seen.

21 Savage’s Video For ‘Betrayed’ Looks Like It Came Straight Out Of A Video Game

21 Savage and Metro Boomin are certainly one of the better rapper-producer duos in today’s industry. The latter helped create the landscape for the rapper’s 2016 breakout mixtape, Savage Mode, which received an excellent sequel last year. The two have also worked on countless other songs together, their latest being a contribution to the soundtrack for the new film Gully.

Their new song, entitled “Betrayed,” is one of ten that comprise the movie’s soundtrack, and it was released with a music video that looks like a video game. 21 Savage raps as sparks of fire rain in front of him, all while Metro Boomin stands in support of his frequent collaborator’s rhymes.

Gully is the second movie this year in which 21 Savage had a hand. Last month he released the soundtrack to Spiral: From The Book Of Saw a short effort with just four songs, featuring appearances from Gunna, Young Thug, Young Nudy, and more. As for Gully, the film is led by music video director Nabil Elderkin, who is credited mononymously as Nabil in his videos. His résumé includes video direction for Kanye West’s “Welcome To Heartbreak,” Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA.,” SZA’s “Love Galore,” and many more. Gully‘s soundtrack is also features contributions from 2 Chainz, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, Dua Lipa, Miguel, Snoh Aalegra, and Ty Dolla Sign.

The Avalanches Share MF DOOM’s Remix To “Tonight May Have To Last Me All My Life”

Many are still reeling in from the death of MF DOOM in 2020 but his legacy lives on through the artists and people he inspired, his incredible catalog, and the unreleased cuts that continue to find their way to us. This week, The Avalanches shared the remix to their track, “Tonight May Have To Last Me All My Life” with a posthumous verse from DOOM. The dreamy piano loop is assisted with soft hi-hats as DOOM’s stream-of-consciousness takes hold of the wheel for a tale of love and lust.

The song appears on The Avalanches’ 20th anniversary edition of Since I Left You. In addition to DOOM, the project includes remixes with  Leon Vynehall, Black Dice, Carl Craig and others.

This isn’t the first piece of posthumous music we received from DOOM. Czarface shared their joint album with DOOM earlier this year.

Quotable Lyrics
Ay, throw ’em here girl, take your coat off
Let me get your shoes, take a load off
May I offer you some white wine?
And may I say, tonight you looking mighty fine
